Serious question.
Floyd could probably still win, but the disadvantage he has at moving up in weight is he just doesn’t carry a strong enough punch. It’s easier to have guys with big punches move up in weight because they give the bigger opponent something to respect, but with Floyd he has to really just utilize movement and defensive nature the whole fight to win. A bigger opponent isn’t going to respect Floyd’s punch which makes it that much more difficult for Floyd to secure the win. Manny P and Crawford clearly have stronger punches moving up in weight. Floyd at a lower weight is deadly but him moving up anything past welter weight would be foolish.
It’s a very outlandish comment canelo made, Terrance hits harder and is bigger than Floyd. But in terms of just being a great boxer and winning fights it’s ludicrous to say any particular fighter is “way” better than Floyd. It’s totally a ridiculous comment, but it’s because Terrance hits harder than Floyd and is stronger. So canelo felt the punches. But if canelo fought Manny P he probably would have said the same thing, that he’s way better than Floyd. But none of that is true.
Agreed but when ranking him you have to include his "hands" and he doesn't stand a chance versus ATG guys like Leonard, Hearns, etc. without any power
Doesn't stand a chance ? Lol get the hell out of here
Floyd may not have been involved in the best fights ever against great rivals but his skills and excellence in the ring is as good as it gets. His boxing ability is truly an Art , and his mental toughness ranks with the best of them. His flaw was his hands and punching power , because if his hands weren't so bad and it allowed him to hit harder he would have pretty much knocked out almost everyone he fought. But needless to say Floyd was pure excellence
When a thread starts with Em is the worst rapper of all time, you know its stupid as fuck and the TS has some issues.
Yup , And look at how many morons in this thread agree with that idiot , pitiful
Fury lamded some great uppercuts in that two rounds but as far as usyk being hurt or distraught from any punches i just didnt see it
Sure the commentators acted like it was dramatic times but he was in control and focused. His facial expression didnt change once
He took two uppercuts and ate them like it was nothing and carried on with the gameplan
Usyk looked like he was on the verge of soon being stopped, it was a systematic beatdown fury started to give him. But Fury either because he got too tired or felt like he could just toy with Usyk stopped throwing the jab and meaningful punches and allowed Usyk to get his second wind. Usyk started throwing lead lefts and becoming more desperate and aggressive after he was getting toyed with from Fury, and we know Usyk came back big and changed the whole fight. But you must clean out your eyes if you don’t think Usyk was getting beat convincingly mid fight.
I thought he let this one slipped away. he was winning then went unfocused and undisciplined defensively tried to play around and paid the price.stopped jabbing stopped going to the body. Then bam. The 9th round happened and he was just recovering from that from then on. arguably won the 12th.
I hope he still has it in him to fight a rematch. If not then it was great while it lasted. Confidence, competitiveness and aura of invincibility seems to not be there anymore especially after that Ngannou outing. The drive, fire and belief that he is the best i just didn’t feel it in his words before this fight.
Exactly, he stopped jabbing and throwing any meaningful hard punches. Usyk started taking more risks and becoming more agressive, if you’re gonna let Usyk walk in on you and unload punches without punishing him for getting close then it’s a failing strategy. The Jab needed to be there constantly but the right hand needed to be a weapon for Fury, be ready to punch and make Usyk pay and he just stopped doing it. Yea he could be more vulnerable if he commits to a harder punch, but he wasn’t gonna be able to keep Usyk off him without doing it. Solid punches and to stay disciplined defensively was what Fury needed to do, and lean on him in the clinch when you can.
actually vitali and wlad is the perfect case study for this.
both born from the same genetics. yet 1 iron jawed and the other one has a suspect jaw.
it's all due to construction.
vitali has a wider sturdier square face while wlad's face is more taperd down to a V. narrower too
https://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/97913941.jpg?quality=65&strip=all&strip=all
Vitali can take a better shot like you said , but I honestly think wlad mentally can't deal with punches and it's not as much due to a suspect chin. He mentally crumbles at the first sign of a flush punch , where guys like khan and other fighters named I think do have structurally weak chins. And in comparison Vitali is extremely mentally tough and durable , wlad for some reasons instantly panicks and gets extremely nervous , it's almost like a mental phobia he has like someone who can't stand needles and getting there blood drawn.
what do u expect from an albino ****roach trump supporter
Trump has nothing to do with it , stop spreading political bs on a boxing forum. We know you would rather vote for someone who pleases your weak triggered mind and then turns around and stabs you in the back like every single politician out there. You trump haters are the ones who act like nazis and fascists but accuse trump and his supporters of being bad , you suppress thought and suppress debate with your hateful propaganda like a nazi would.
Even when the entire sports world started getting exposed for all these athletes using PEDs , you still see fools who act in disbelief when someone suggests a top athlete using something. It's so bizarre how naive some people really are
If he would stop training like a football player and someone actually showed him how to throw punches properly and move properly than maybe he wouldn't look so horrific when he fights. He actually should be a great fighter considering how good of an athlete he is and how strong he is , it's just his skill level is complete garbage
zero great wins sign me up! lipinets is a champ in the 80 champ era. that don't mean sh-it. name me the great wins he has NOW! he was the old man cherry picking fraud. hes like trump for boxing fans. they don't care about substance, they just follow his dumbazz and they lose all their dignity
Again , this dumbass can never make a post without bringing up trump. You’re clearly a mentally deranged individual. Seek help
he just said all lives matter what is so wrong about that?
Because black people are only supposed to show unity among themselves. As soon as a black person decides to support other race of people they are looked down upon as a traitor and Uncle Tom
you think fanboys are going to be rational? its just like trump supporters. it doesnt matter if he does the exact opposite of what he said or what you believe in. they will support it, ignore it, etc...thats what being a fan is
Actually that goes the same for trump haters as well, such as yourself
Because Floyd is an independent-thinking black man, he's got everyone on both sides pissed off. :lol1:
Trump hasn't done anything racist but you people hear it repeated in your ear 10x daily so you are now brainwashed to believe it.
I don't agree with a lot of what Floyd says, but he's a business-minded guy, like I am, and it's cool that he's able to see through the bullshy and isn't afraid to speak his mind.
Atleast this man Red Fox has a free thinking mind , good for you. It’s amazing how many brain washed puppets in this society that will just repeat things like a parrot and totally exaggerate everything
So, I planned my viewing schedule as follows:
Brook, Kovalev, Wilder
During the first round of the Kovalev fight Lampley says, "we've just learned Wilder just knocked out Ortiz in the tenth round"
What an absolute cvnt. He obviously did it so people didn't switch the channel.
I agree with you. I thought that was terrible on Lampley to do that.
Plugging my Laptop to the TV is as simple as plugging a cord(HDMI) haha. I do it all the time when I PC game(Witcher 3). I also have a nice OLED LG 65" with lots of smart features. Its not a inconvenience when you are tech savy.
That’s funny , I have an Oled 65” as well. The Sony Oled. Yes it has smart features but no espn + , and you can’t download new apps to tv. Or If you can I don’t know how to do it.
Plug my laptop to the TV. Switch from Showtime on the Amazon Prime Video smart tv app to the ESPN+ feed at my discretion.
Yea , you gotta go through all that stupid **** to watch 1 fight . Lol. Here’s a suggestion to these morons , don’t put the fights anymore on this streaming espn garbage that people don’t want. I’ll pay for the fight but this is total nonsense

Listen. That’s fine. But stop defending this dumb streaming service to watch a fight. I wonder how many less viewers this fight is going to get because of this crap. And you’re worried about boxings economic success ?
Does the Sony have a built in Web browser? You can access ESPN+ content through the ESPN website. It seems you can download the Opera web browser app on the Sony TV.
I’m trying to locate it
and he blew it for two reasons. Even though he was making Wilder miss, for 2-3 rounds he was inactive. Inactivity and didnt capitalize on Wilder being gassed. That alone is enough to score it a draw or in favor of Wilder on some people's cards-not mine.
I did have Fury winning by a point, but when the 12th round sounded, I told my boys that It'll be a draw. All Fury had to do was jab his way to a win like he did against Wlad in the 12th and he got caught.
I commend Fury on getting up. I thought he was gone. Fury had the belt in his hands. I can see someone scoring this fight a draw. Fury didn't dominate the early rounds. He dominated some of the middle rounds. The rounds he won were clearer than how Wilder won minus the knockdowns.
I hate to say it but I kinda figured that they would score it a draw before the fight. Boxing has become about money. It was all about the rematch.
Wilder gassed himself going for the ko. I actually thought that if Fury pressed the action he could've stopped Wilder. He finally walked in on Fury and landed. When I say walked in I mean he abandoned his own defense to land hard on Fury. Furys mistake was he didn't go after Wilder. His jab was on point, his combos were on point...and then he became inactive. In other words Wilder's rounds that he won weren't just from the knockdown rounds. Furys inactivity also hurt him a bit.
So I put the fault, on Fury strategy wise in the championship rounds, not heart wise. He had it in the bag and gave Wilder a chance to earn a draw. Fury had Wilder so dead in the 12th that I thought that even though he was down I'm like he can ko Wilder if he's steps on the gas. He never did. I'd watch the rematch.
100% agreee. You are a smart man. Fury let Wilder off the hook and should got him out of there or atleast really broke him down . But to Fury’s credit he went through hell to even make it to this fight , we don’t know if he had enough in him to really turn it up so he played it safe because it was working. But wilder didn’t deserve to last the whole fight , he should have been stopped
If you let a dangerous puncher hang around too long this will be the end result . Fury had the ability to really break Wilder down and do significant damage but he held back a lot. For good reason I know but had he turned it up more offensively Wilder would have been done. He was landing easily on Wilder and hit him with flush right hands , but he didn’t step into the punch enough. I was surprised he didn’t knock Wilder on his ass because he definitely could have
I hate to say it but I agree the draw is fair. Even though Fury put on a boxing clinic and essentially humiliated Wilder the whole fight suffering those 2 kds were really big. I might be wrong but I really felt that Fury gave Wilder too much respect. There was a point in that fight Fury needed to go after Wilder and really break him down. I honestly don’t think Wilder would have held it together. But Fury didn’t really push for that he was playing it cautious ( with good reason)
I just think letting a dangerous puncher hang around too long he will eventually land that punch. And he did
Not for a lack of skills, but for a lack of respect and character in the ring.
All the guy had to do in this fight was box normally. His opponent had one weapon- a right hand.
Instead, like a typical traveler trash Fury decided to showboat, run his mouth, put his hands down, dance, and make faces. Fat boy thought he was prime Muhammad Ali in there.
And got his fat ass dropped twice, hard.
Both KDs happened seconds after his showboating.
I feel sorry for Fury fans because Fury basically gave the fight away.
I didn’t like him showboating either. Clearly it was a huge mistake. But he wants to keep a psychological edge on Wilder which is what the showboating is designed to do. But instead of that I would have preferred him to punch more with conviction and break wilder down. Because wilder shouldn’t have lasted the whole fight like that , fury was just tagging him with decent shots and it was messing wilders whole face up. One or two of those right hands should have been thrown with more follow through and he would have buzzed the **** out of wilder and most likely stopped him after that
You can make a case that both could've been stopped. But the one thing that fans can't analyze or use analytics on is their determination, will, heart and desire. Both showed it last night.
Yes both fought like true champions. Wilder though only chance was to land a Hail Mary punch and he did. That’s why Fury should have tried to get him out of there when he had Wilder weakening. Play with fire too long and you get burned. Fury had enough working for him where I think he could have mounted a more serious offense
Fury looked great the whole fight , and even was making it look easy. I found his biggest mistake was he left Wilder hanging around in the fight too long. There were Times Fury should have been more offensive and really put it on Wilder. He landed beautiful right hands but I wanted him to really step into that punch more. He allowed Wilder to hang around to long to land that lucky punch as he did in the 12th .
Really the first Kd is was killed fury. He never should have went down off of that punch , it really ended up hurting him dearly on the scorecards. Without the Kds fury showed he is definitely a class above Wilder , boxed his ears off
Fury needs to make more of an effort to hurt Wilder. You can only move so much in a fight before you get clipped. Wilder is great when he’s being feared. But he might fold very easy if someone mounts a real attack on him. Ortiz did it for a little bit and almost finish him. But Ortiz is very slow and old. Also Fury should try and smother wilder more and lean on him to tire him out. We don’t even know if Wilder could fight inside at all , fury should get in close and work more inside
Here we go again with that internet tough guy type chit. Grappling is for legit ****sexuals and women tbh. But, if I ever trained in grappling; I would easily smash up on you bro. You would get armbarred so fast; you would be crying uncle. We would never hear about you from these parts ever again, my DUDE! Donaires' hooks would be absolutely nothing to me. I would brush them off like nothing, and Donaire would have no choice but to retire and open a sushi restaurant like Bradley did.
Hahahahaha
Jesus, Paulie got his face caved in what an embarrassment. Paulie do yourself a favor and stay off social media for atleast 2 years . He said he could beat Connor with one arm and weights around his ankles and yet here is the evidence of Connor litereally beating the hell out of him lol.
