my thoughts on last night

You brought up Kownacki, but I could also see Wilder fighting Breazeale next so he can try some new techniques/strategy on a tall opponent.

i feel like that rematch will be in vegas no question....i was contemplating going to LA for this one...but trying to round people up and the timing was not working....may have to clear the calendar for the rematch Most definitely. Wilder won't be going anywhere near the UK now for Fury at least while he still holds the belt.

first off...hats off to tyson fury. what a heart. ive always liked the guy but now he officially won me over...im a big fan now....the comeback...the way he fought...the way he picked himself up....the way he handled himself after the fight...the way he called AJ a chicken....fury has himself a new fan through and through...and i suspect im not alone fury executed his gameplan beautifully....he was boxing wilders ears off....the size,,,the reach..the timing...the awkwardness...it all bothered wilder when i saw the final punch stats i was suprised...i actually thought fury dominated them even further than the stats showed the announce team said it a few times during the fight...that the prevailing thought was "fury has to be perfect for 36 minutes...wilder only needs to be perfect for a few seconds"...it sounded like some really corny cliche and ended up ringing 100 percent true thats the thing about wilder...he got his ears boxed up and still sent a guy down twice and i dont think anyone really thought fury was getting up in the 12th....wilder knew he was getting beat and embarrassed and still found a way to almost end it it took wilder 12 rounds to finally find where furys head was going to be when he got a big right off...the KD in the 9th was sort of to the back of the head and not real clean shot like the 12th was....fury was doing a good job of bending and being out of the way of that shot every time wilder threw it wilders team has apparently made some mention that wilder can improve where they dont think fury can when they meet again.....i sort of see what they are saying....and at the least they better hope that....wilder has now seen it live for 12 rounds...fury not easy to replicate in camp and sparring...at least now theyve had a look..... hats off to tyson fury though...cant say enough about him....he looked pretty damn good...idc what peoples opinions of him are...i think hes legit top 3-4 guy right now....he may not be guy that fought wlad...but he also isnt far off at all....and in some ways might be a bit a better...the guy has heart and i wish him continued success in the ring and out of it hopefully wilder takes something from this and goes back in the gym with an emphasis on adding more wrinkles to his game....because just doing what he does cant be relied on in a rematch and going forward against AJ or anyone....its hard to teach an older dog new tricks...but wilder needs more i really dont wanna hear anything about a robbery or any of that BS nonsense...when you lose two rounds 10-8 is pretty hard to get a W......the draw was fair....it was a hail mary miracle for wilder but it did happen and its fair....anyone claming otherwise is just bitter and unrealistic.... anyways...good night of fights....main event was a one sided boxing match mostly with some high drama...overall worth the price and i hope these guys do it again....im thinking wilder may want to take a kownacki fight or something and then do it againGreat analysis and well said!

Well said bro. What I've been trying to say a night. Aint no robbery. It was a great fight. A fight that's got alot of poms calling robbery but whatever it was a draw and that's what I saw. considering how a UK ref would have likely waived off the round 12 KD when Fury was still trying to getting up at 9... not to mention that "tie rounds" usually get handed to the champ. It's just how it's always been. And there wasn't even an American judge lol. Mexico, Canada and UK. With the UK judge giving the tie. Fire that mexican judge though lol an MD draw would have been more apt than a SD draw. once again...you speak the truth

I think a fitter Fury next time round KOs him. fury did school him for pretty much almost all of the fight but like the showtime announce team said..."fury needs to be perfect for the whole fight...wilder only needs to be perfect for a few seconds" and thats exactly what happened...with wilder it only takes a couple of seconds and the fight could be changed do you thin fury can get much more fit? ive seen some guys who, genetically, just dont age well.....im thinking fury might be as fit as he can get at his age....but i cant be 100 percent certain...maybe he can get more fit....but i suspect thats his peak fitness at this stage....which seemed to be pretty good

You can give a 10-9 over the smallest difference, then the next round the other guy dominates, and on the cards it's a tie fight. I thought it was a fun fight. I didn't think Fury was getting up in the 12th. The second they said SD I knew it was a draw. I love both guys, have for ages. People can say "robbery" all they want, but with two 10-8 rounds, you cant be mad at a draw IMO. agree 100 percent

Fury looked great the whole fight , and even was making it look easy. I found his biggest mistake was he left Wilder hanging around in the fight too long. There were Times Fury should have been more offensive and really put it on Wilder. He landed beautiful right hands but I wanted him to really step into that punch more. He allowed Wilder to hang around to long to land that lucky punch as he did in the 12th . Really the first Kd is was killed fury. He never should have went down off of that punch , it really ended up hurting him dearly on the scorecards. Without the Kds fury showed he is definitely a class above Wilder , boxed his ears off agreed it almost seemed that if fury ramped it up he could have hurt wilder or at least puffed his eyes up to the point he could barely see....but thats not fury and clearly wasnt his plan...im fairly sure fury felt confident he could go those last 3-4 without taking a good shot...he was doing such a good job of neturalizing wilder and avoiding that shot......fury may have gotten too comfy and thought he took wilders heart thats whats crazy about wilder..he was getting outboxed and embarrassed and still landed an equalizer with time running out on him

Wilder won't improve, he just can't. He has never had any type of boxing brain, its blatantly obvious. All he is is ridiculous levers, athleticism and pretty good beard. Some of his 'technique ' last night was just horrible to watch.
