This shit sucks, everybody is going to discredit Barrera when he takes Manny to school on boxing skills now. They bitch and moan about Barrera making excuses, (which he has, and I didn't agree with) but Manny won't be man enough (nor his fans) to admit it when Barrera schools him. The Pacquiao camp and his fans will say whatever they can to discredit Marco.
I was thinking the exact same thing
wat 3 the real odds?
im goin wit pavlik by tko
i duno thow ive never seen taylor really hurt so maybe he can come off with a sd or sum shit
look at who's he fought.
and Pavlik has knocked out alot of guys with alot more proven chins than Taylor be it smaller guys mostly.
Lewis/Rahman II
I mean Tuesday Night Knockouts series and other low profile fights have some scary ones...but high profile, Lewis/Rahman II always stands out in my mind
Why is ESPN boxing so much worse than USA Tuesday Night Fights was. ESPN doesn't have a bigger budget than the USA network?
People complain about boxing declining it starts right there on the mainstream networks and what you get has declined dramtically in my opinion.
Good question. I am a fan of FNF but there was something very special about TNF. Maybe tuesday is just a better way to break up the week and maybe Shawn was just more fun than Teddy and his endless repetition.
They had way better venues, better fighters, and much more exciting fights. You hardly ever see a great KO on ESPN boxing. Tuesday Night Fights has like 5 DVD's full of them.
I'm a big fan of FNF's myself; I don't see anything wrong with it. They showcase up-and-coming talent and fighters who are trying to regain some of their former glory..
It's a decent show, I just think that tuesday night fights was alot better. It really was a great program. Look how even today they sell DVD's at a premium price. I need to download some of those if anybody knows where they are.
I think he will. If Taylor's jab was everything it's supposed to be I might think different but it isn't. And besides that like somebody else said he doesn't have great movement. He'll get into exchanges with Kelly and he'll get beat up.
He does have experience against good opposition, Taylor does, but all those guys are old hat and not exactly hungry fighters especially I think in the case of Bernard. Pavlik is the first such fighter he'll be fighting in regards to being young and hungry, goes about his business with an edge.
Do you hold Kesslers jockstrap aswell? Or are you the person who gives him handjobs because no one likes that douchebag except guys who don't ride in a straight line. Will see who the real bad ass is on fight night.
Where the world be if Larry Holmes never made that 'Marciano can't carry my jockstrap' speech after the Spinks fight.
I dont know that since going to 12 rounds serious injuries in the ring have declined at all. And like I've said many times no matter how many rounds bouts are people are going to get injured in boxing. People get serious injuries in boxing just sparring the gym somtimes wearing headgear and everything. Some are just pre-disposed and/or hit the wrong way.
For the most elite fighters. Yes, definitely. Promoters like having as many of their fighters as possible in notoriety, they dont want just one guy that everybody follows, as least some promoters. probably one of the reasons they have it 12 rounds now.
i would give cotto the advantage over hatton as well but just because of his size and strength
his size would give hatton problems because he wouldnt be able to easily smother cotto
but as far as their careers are concerned alot of people think ricky has accomplished more and is a better fighter overall then cotto
ricky is the main man at 140
and cotto is one of the champions on the verge of superstar status
thats the case and floyd is fighting ricky over cotto, why is floyd getting shitted on for fighting the better opposition?
I'd say they're about on par.
This fight might actually be good but I dont think Mayorga can make 147.
I dont think Margarito would take this fight on short notice at a catch weight but who knows.

I dont think there's many people complaining about the Floyd Hatton matchup except delusional Mosely fans. He's gonna get stopped by Cotto.
Bad matchup for Mayorga, he needs an opponent with a bad chin or defense.
I think it would be a great matchup for Mayorga. Not an easy fight but one he can win. Margarito's not going to overwhelm him with speed and is there to be hit, he will exchange punches with him. It would definitely be entertaining which is a good thing for both them obviously.
Mayorga has amazing natural power that is for sure and Don King is amazing promoter even though people consider him a devil he gives his fighters fast shot to the title instead of the long round journey
guys like that dont need much promoting.
