Pavlik isnt going to win

Yea i think jermain has what it takes to beat kelly yes his past 2 fights have almost bored me to death and yes he almost got beat by 2 smaller men but he beat hopkins and drew with wright now that counts for something. Kelly Pavlik doesn't have the same style as ouma or cory. So I don't know the outcome but i believe if jermain actually let his hands go for once and became more confident his defense is pretty tight but he needs to keep pavlik off him with the solid jab he does have but has seldom shown in his last 2 fights. Yea if manny steward can train jermain well and if jermain sticks to his game plan i think jermain can ud or possibly even KO pavlik. On the other hand pavlik is a good come forward fighter with a good defense and power. His win over miranda was convincing but he is very upright and leaves his jaw sticking out but he has so far been able to show that he has a good chin soo I'd give Pavlik a fair chance of beating Jermain but I still favour Jermain to win.

I, too, think Taylor wins this fight, but it will require a complete 180 in his in-fight demeanor and approach. Ever since the first Hopkins fight, Taylor has been so skittish in the ring it's been painful to watch at times. You need no further evidence of this than the Ouma fight, where a guy so much smaller than him dictated the pace and style of the fight, backing up Taylor all night long for crying out loud. I give him a mulligan for the Spinks fight, if only because of how quick and defensively-oriented Spinks is. So, if Manny Steward can get Taylor to forget everything he's done since July 2005, he will be in good shape. I say that only half-jokingly, because Taylor obviously learned some incredible things sharing a ring with Hopkins twice and then Winky, but if he takes that cautious, careful mindset into this fight, he could get hurt. He cannot box like Floyd or Spinks, the only way to beat Pavlik for him is to meet him head-on. If Steward can beat that into him, Taylor can come straight out of his corner fighting like he did against Eduoard, he will win this fight. But he must throw caution to the wind and be the aggressor. In other words, he must fight Pavlik exactly how Pavlik fought Miranda, with no fear and with full expectation of getting hit and hit HARD. If he can do this, he will win, and I think Manny Steward will let him see this and it will happen. Taylor TKO10. I can't believe I just typed that, but that's where I stand. Previously I had predicted a Taylor win, but I wasn't sure if he would stop Pavlik or not. I think I just convinced myself.

I think he will. If Taylor's jab was everything it's supposed to be I might think different but it isn't. And besides that like somebody else said he doesn't have great movement. He'll get into exchanges with Kelly and he'll get beat up. He does have experience against good opposition, Taylor does, but all those guys are old hat and not exactly hungry fighters especially I think in the case of Bernard. Pavlik is the first such fighter he'll be fighting in regards to being young and hungry, goes about his business with an edge.

Taylor has the experience and talent to beat this dude. Just cause you come forward means your gonna win a fight??? lmao thats ridiculous. Taylor is much more skilled and polished than kelly. Tayler needs someone to push him and make him slug it out. He hasnt fought someone like that in at least a year. Believe come fight night taylor will be ready for anything kelly brings. and you think kelly will get the best going toe to toe then you better reconsider that.

Say what you want to say Miranda was still a big win. There is no doubt he has really good power. And it could put you out with one punch. It seems he's getting little credit for destroying Miranda. He showed a lot of tenacity to walk through Miranda. That's already doing something Taylor hasn't done in any of his big fights and that's dominate. Pavlik to KO Taylor.

PAVLIK needs a great win to make him LEGIT. MIRANDA is no bum, but aint that top level fighter, JT IS. a top 10 p4p fighter... if PAVLIK wins, it'll prove he is a good fighter. this is the fight that makes or breaks him...

Although Im Not Comparing Nun Of The Fighters, This Reminds Me Of Cotto Vs Judah. Everyone Was So Sure Judah Was Gonnna Take Out Cotto, Tooo Fast Too Powerful. Similar Here, People Say Pavlik Has Too Much Power. Jt Has Been In There With 2 Top 10 P4p Fighters And All Time Greats, He'll Survive And Win A Ud. He Might Get Hurt, But He'll Still Win

miranda was in really bad shape for having to make weight but pavlik has a chance if he plays smart and doesnt chase taylor the entire fight so he and hbo have said but his bigger problem was pavlik, plus he had some very good moments in the fight but just couldnt put it all together

In what ways? I think it is pretty self-explanatory. Taylor has fought greats like Hopkins and Wright. He knows all the tricks in the book. I personally think he won't let Pavlik do to him what he did to Miranda, I think that is least likely. And Pavlik has never fought someone as experienced as Taylor, the best fighter he fought was an overrated Miranda. This is the biggest test Pavlik has in his career. you make some good points but Miranda was not over rated he just had certain strengths and certain weaknesses, Pavlik took him on and committed to deal with his power to push him backwards and force Miranda to throw punches either unset or on his back foot. That in itself took a huge set of nuts and should be an indication of how smart he and his team are. yes taylor got wins in the hopkins fights but I and a lot of people think that Hopkins clearly beat him in the first fight and it was razor close in the second. That said Taylor lucked out and met Hopkins just as Bernard started to slow down and show his age. If he had fought Hopkins even 2 or 3 years ago he would have ended that fight on the mat. The Winky Wright fight was a great fight, very exciting. Taylor tho showed he to can be bullied and by a guy that made his name fighting at 154 in Winky. Pavlik is for real! I hope Jermain has realized this or he will get an ass whoopin.

I mean dont get me wrong I do hate both these fighters but its idiotic to think that kelly is going to bust Taylor up... Jermain fought world class fighters (even though he did go threw a rough patch against his last few opponents) but I still think he has what it takes to beat Pavlik who's only credible win was against Miranda (who wasnt feeling good at fight night).. And to make things worse Miranda is the biggest one dimensional fighters ever! There isnt going to be any excitement in the Pavlik/Taylor fight because Jermain is just gonna run and win a UD. Kelly who? thats exactly what i mean. nobody was saying nothing about pavlic before he beat Miranda. now all of a sudden people think hes the next middleweight champ? Taylor is the more polished fighter with the better skills. Miranda has no boxing skill so he cant fight going backwards. thats why pavlic just ran over him with his pressure. yes pavlic has the ability to beat Taylor, but i don't think it will happen. i think pavlic will have some good moments in the fight but i see Taylor pulling out a majority decision and showing his boxing skills and experience. :boxing:
