Pacquiao looked flawless against limited David Diaz, and against twice against post prime Morales. Then against way post prime DLH. I give him credit for beating Barrera eventhough he had distractions first fight and just wanted a payday second fight.
Anyways what i am getting at, is that when Pacquiao has fought a fighter who is capable of defending himself he has loss or won a controversial decision, Morales I and both Marquez fights.
I think if Erik Morales first fight beat Pacquiao on pressure i think Juan Diaz would have a shot.
Marquez has entered what the best boxers enter, money fights. He wants multi million dollar fights, he isnt going to fight any up and comer or a guy who deserves a title shot. I think Marquez deserves the big payday after 50 plus fights

Wtf? Marquez beat Casamayor and Diaz for the Ring Magazine Title, which is the universally recognize belt that distinguishes fighters as the best in the division.
This was all Marquez, Diaz was effective with his pressure early but he was getting hit with hard counterpunches. As the fight went on Marquez made adjustments, blocked most of Diaz shots and effectively countered Diaz with flush shots. The cut had nothing to do with it, Marquez just wore him down and knocked him out.
I am not making an excuse. In my eyes he was discouraged and worried once again when he knew he was cut. I dont blame the loss on this.

EXACTLY. Ronnie Shields is a horrible trainer. You don't go away from something that is working to perfection. Diaz was on his way to a knockout until he started boxing after the 2nd round. That's why I made a thread asking why he quit with the pressure even before Marquez had landed anything significant. It was like he let Marquez back into the fight.

The only reason i can think of would be from the nate campbell fight. He tried to fight on aggression him all night and campbell was ripping him apart. His corner told him to try to box and he ignored. I guess he didnt want to ignore them this time around again. BUT this is different in my eyes because Diaz's aggression was tearing marquez apart.
I had it 8-4 John. Although i could see it being a draw but thats an extreme reach being generous. I personally couldnt score it like that but also 7-5 I could also see, The early rounds i guess i could say not much was happening so Rocky may have banked a couple there

I think Diaz was just following corners instructions. He said many times in interviews after the Nate Campbell fight he would do whatever they tell him from now on. He says thats part of the reason he lost to nate campbell because he wanted to fight they way he wanted, not what the corner thought was best
Juan Diaz cant lose in front of his hometown. No way. People say Marquez will have it easy. People think Juan Diaz is gonna stay in the center of the ring exchanging jabs and counters. This isnt gonna be a chess match by any means i can guarantee that. He is gonna take it to the ropes and be on Marquez chest all night. Diaz can throw 4-5 punch combinations in several sets. Its gonna be interesting to see how Marquez answers back..

In my opinion when Pacquiao won the 4 rounds i counted, he won those rounds on effective aggression and clean punching.
Juan Diaz will bring effective aggressiveness and clean punching combination's for 12 rounds.
