You kidding me :lol1:...and Canelo's been picky in recent years himself, under the DAZN deal. When you're talking Crawford though, you're talking about a parade of C opponents :lol1:. Porter was his most legit fight in YEARS. People have him the favorite against Spence? I dont think so...I need to see more of Crawford against legit competition!
Charlo is getting a lot of heat for that last opponent :D. I remember him barking at Triple G, and Abel Sanchez goes, all you did was beat a cripple :D
I never bought into Wilder's 3 round prediction. Because, for a fighter with the KO percentage he has? And all the bombast? He's actually a very cautious, safety first fighter, when he perceives danger. He's not that seek and destroy KO guy, like a Triple G or Amir Mansour?
There's a couple rounds of cautious feeling out, suddenly he lands a hard shot, THEN he steps on the accelerator. I figured King Kong would elicit a hesitant performance, that would go well past 3 rounds. Hes not getting Joshua out of there quick either. He'll be too concerned with the power, and it will be mid fight before anything of note happens.
When Jacobs took the last guy, I was like, okay, just did the HBO deal, and this is an exhibition, before he's matched up tough.
He next takes a fight against some unknown pole, with 10 KOs in 26 wins...okay, this is gonna be the game plan :D
Actually, it's true that Jacobs opponent has only 10 KOs in 26 wins. But most of those KOs came in his last 8 or 9 fights...he's undefeated too.
So he wasn't a KO threat early in his career, but he is now.
Impressive, but there isn't one name of note on his recent KO streak. If they're all cab drivers and pizza delivery men, it won't mean a thing in there with Jacobs.
Rios' reaction...as soon as the punch connected, Rios had that cuckoo look on his face, before he dropped like a sack of potatoes. Then the wobbly walk in front of Bayless :)...and it'll be up there as a finalist.
You damn well know Calzaghe is one of the greatest of all time. Beating a completely shot RJJ, and slapping a 43 year old b-hop to a bs decision completely solidifies that. Incredible resume.
Yep, B-Hop was well into his safety first phase.
They can't rob this guy with two flash knockdowns :)...Vergil needs a KO. The fight is being fought too close for the champion to lose with two flash knockdowns.
I think Benavidez wins...just not as easy as a lot are making it...David has a tendency to reach forward with that jab, and hang his chin out. Canelo will time that, slip it, and counter. I can see a flash knockdown there, but Benavidez will win the war.
Quillin is too skilled, I forsee a mid to late rounds referee stoppage. Quillin is in the middle of a resurgence from the shellacking he took from Jacobs. Gotta give him credit for clowning J'Leon Love.
Jermall: you're undefeated, right?
Andrade: you know! You know know everything about me
Jermall: I do?
Andrade: you are still beneath me. :lol1:
Jermall: come off that. :lol1:
I would love to see this, Andrade has had some funny run ins with Jermell :lol1:
Andrade: "Chill...you can see me in the ring."
Jermell: "I'll see you outside the ring too (crowd gasps :lol1:)
(Andrade nods) "toughguys..." (acts frightened)
:lol1: :lol1:
The other time, Andrade is waiting outside in a hallway, and the Charlos come out, acting like they dont see him :lol1:. Suddenly Jermell turns and walks by Andrade and looks him up and down with this super mean face :lol1:.
Andrade goes, cheeringly, "what's up, what's up, what's good!". An explosive exchange ensurs :lol1:. Why you looking at me all crazy?! :lol1:
Is it me, or has Porter clearly established himself as the alpha :lol1:? The grownup in the room? Every time Spence tries to criticize, Porter dominates the exchange. He puts Spence on his heels.
Winning the pre-fight showdowns doesnt mean anything...Berto alpha'd Floyd in that weigh in staredown, but got a lesson in the actual fight :lol1:.
Porter though, is overwhelming Spence in their verbal exchanges. Errol's not a very charismatic guy anyway, very monotone, that has a lot to do with it too.
Re
LOL, pathetic. He regards the guy who whooped his ass the best in the world which means AJ can be the 2nd best in the world.
Dude, it's a set up, dont you see?! Huh huh huh :lol1:...so when he brutally knocks Ruiz out, he can claim a dramatic rematch victory, against the toughest man in the division, huh huh huh :lol1:!
Re
Kenny does treat Shawn like Shawn is perpetually 16 years old. Its been a thing as long as I can remember. Shawn talking for himself more lately, but Kenny does do a lot of the talking still it seems to me.
Same thing with Danny & Angel.
These 9th place trophies kids grew up with got mfers all shy & letting their daddy speak for them & sh^t or some such bs idk.
His buddy Barry Hunter too...when he was coaching Lamont Peterson, he'd treat him like a kid. Then, I forgot who the opponent was, but Peterson was getting handled. He goes back to his corner, and Hunter SMACKED him...not like a "wake-up" slap? It was the kind of slap where you're putting someone in their place :lol1:!
Funny thing was, the camera caught Broner seated at ringside, shaking his head at the slap :lol1:!
I understand, they have that father-son thing going on, but you're smacking a man in front of 10,000 people...
Wasnt impressed by Benavidez. For all the press conference trash talk, he came out way too cautious and respectful of his 34 to, shopworn opponent. A chance cut on Dirrell's eyelid woke Benavidez up midway through the fight. A real contender opens that cut within 3 rounds in and stops Dirrell shortly after.
