It’s 10/9
You being knocked down and win the round anyway becomes 10/9
Not true. You can't be knocked down and score 10 points. A knockdown is THE LOSS of a point.
You can't just blow everyone away Madramov showed that last weekend, Bohachuk is a very tough busy fit fighter his form is solid at 154 i expected a real battle Bohachuk was hurt a lot more often than Vergil was, Vergil showed he is a WC in a very gruelling fight.
I agree with the bolded but i did think Ortiz would blow this guy out of the water. I expected Madrimov to be a tough fight for Bud. I thought Ortiz beat Bohachuk clearer than Bud beat Madrimov. But if anyone was exposed it was Vergil Ortiz.

That was my feeling also
Plus I felt the flash knockdowns were scored but Virgil did very well in those rounds before and after the knockdowns
Virgil got hurt early in the fight but hurt his opponent quite a few times
And I also believe he took the last three rounds definitely
I think Ortiz won but he's definitely not what they made him to be. Call the KD rds how you want to but he still got Knocked down. Not to mention the straight 2 that were buckling Ortiz. Also the ref grabbing Ortizs glove in the 12th and unwrapping the tape when Ortiz was clearly buckled was sketchy asf.
He's Fernando Vargas 2.0.

its ten point must system.
10 point-must-system does not mean one fighter definitely gets 10 points. They both start with 10 points. If the fighters knock each other down once, then is it 9-9........ and the round likely ends 9-8 if one of them gets the better of the other and wins the rest of the round.

They would be 9-9 in that case.. Both fighters start a round with 10 points. If the round is considered totally even, judges score that 10-10. If a fighter gets knoced down, they lose a point. So, when Ortiz goes down it is 10 (Bohachuck) -9 (Ortiz) at that point. Whoever loses the round also loses a point (Bohachuck). So, that would make it 9-9. I actually really hate when announcers automatically say a round is 10-8 when a knockdown happens. That is absolutely not true, and in many cases the knocked down fighter goes on to win the round, making it 9-9.
It’s 10/9
If you win the round it’s 10/9 with knockdown becomes 10/8
You being knocked down and win the round anyway becomes 10/9
After reading The Ring article about scoring rounds, I am amending my card to make the two KD rounds 10-9 rounds. I now have it 114-114. Fight could go either way as I had two rounds that could go either way and I split them.
This is why when they went to talking Crawford or Ortiz I wasn't to keen on it; Sure it'd be a good fight but a guy like Bud can ruin your career..and he's only got maybe 2 fights left in his career not sure Ortiz is best choice
I had it being more of a draw tonight but either way Ortiz took a lot of punishment tonight It was funny because I was thinking hell the Danny Garcia we saw against Benavidez at 154lbs might have done a better job on Bohachuk than that lol but Ortiz has his moments, strong as an ox but just needs more exp in mid to deep waters

No, that's still not correct, one fighter literally HAS to be given 10 points in a round UNLESS there is a point deduction. That is the only time you can get a round without someone getting 10
That isn't how it works. You get a point for the knockdown and another for winning the round. Usually the guy scoring the knockdown is winning the round, sometimes, like in this case, he didn't.
"If Fighter A is winning the round and scores a knockdown and continues to win the round after the knockdown, then Fighter A is awarded the round 10-8. However, if Fighter A is winning the round and gets knocked down by Fighter B, then Fighter B is awarded the round 10-9. The key is: Which fighter won the round without the knockdown? Thus, most fans and TV commentators are incorrect in automatically scoring a 10-8 round for a fighter who scores a knock down without taking into consideration who won the round without the knock down."

Thank you, I think too much assumption goes to 10-8 rounds after KDs when in reality most of the time it is because a dude is obviously going to control and dominate a round in which the other guy got knocked down. I didn't see that tonight, in fact, I thought both rounds Ortiz went down in were a couple of his best rounds in the fight! I think everybody is getting hung up on the wrong thing though. The issue is not whether the judges scored those rounds 10-9 or 10-8, the issue is that they ALL scored BOTH rounds 10-8 and STILL not a single judge had Bohachuk winning. That's a problem
Who scored those 2 kd 10-8? That's only when you don't lose the rd and score a KD. Ortiz win the two kd rds so those were 9-8 for Bohachuck

Whatever you say dude.
All I know is that Ortiz, for being the “winner”, is looking like food right now for Terence Crawford.
...and Robert Garcia knows this...which is why I expect them to go somewhere else.
Crawford fought potentially the toughest puzzle (Madrimov) off 1 year of inactivity. Ortiz is not as difficult a puzzle, even-though he has power.
man don't start this switching the scoring criteria bs. Unless Ortiz was beating the life out of Bohachuk, those were 10-8 rounds.
The point I was making was that I scored both those 10-9 for Bohachuk and STILL scored the fight for him, though a draw wouldn't bother me one bit. So I was calling out the judges, because IF you score both 10-8, I see no way you can score that fight for Ortiz
