Yeah we all know Canelo is being a duck, Massive quack, but why, I reckon he picks his punches better, faster, more accurate
, great chin, etc etc. why he avoids him. I’d pick Canelo to win.
I'd have to pick Benavidez because of his advantages in size , reach, combination punching, youth ,and motor.
Canelo's fight with Bivol was precedent. Bivol I believe was the underdog, however the odds really climbed as fight night approached. Bivol has a lot of talent for sure, and there are obviously major differences... Benavidez looked a little beatable last fight, but the size and strength issue seems to loom large here.
I'd have thought Canelo would be favorite, but he clearly doesn't think it's an easy fight for him, so it's a moot point. I'll be shocked if the fight happens, especially because Turki seems to prefer Canelo v Crawford.
Wonder what the odds would be... Wow! Would be really interested in how the bookies see this one.
The right time to make that fight and it captures the imagination. Either guy can beat the other. David is big, has power and throws combinations. Canelo has enough defense, power and counterpunching to slow David down.
Too bad Canelo is running away from this fight.

His greatest achievement is beating GGG, well, at least the 2nd time anyways.
Yes, after waiting for him to decline and on peds. Not much of an achievement if you ask me.
I'll allow that. but this is a forum, so we're inclined to opine. I'm sure some of the pros come to this site and laugh at what we can only guess about them. But one thing that I can say with confidence, is that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has not offered to fight David "The Mexican Monster" Benavidez to date, for whatever the reason(s). And I opine that the more time passes, the less likely it is that Alvarez will face him.
I can accept that.
I agreed, some mandatories are worthless, see ryder and berlanga, others are worthy, see benavidez and Morrell jr. My point is that canelo should have fought a least one of those two, or just vacate and let sort it out by themselves. By the way, those brothers sell a circus and boxing is a theater. The fighters that you're mentioning would became clowns in the same circus, just give them time. Like I said, I don't watch the brothers nor canelo.
Yes they are clowns but the template works. It is actually proven, even before computers... John Keenan was a top karate student of Robert Triase, years back... He became the infamous "Count Dante" who fought martial arts duels to the death, etc... He was very successful selling his materials in comic books, even though it was all a ruse! he actually walked a bull down state street in chicago claiming he would kill it with one strike (He knew people would stop him lol).
Anyway fighters self promote is a start... If clowns can do it... Look at Ryan. He basically self promotes...
Yes not all mandatories are BS, this is true.
He actually just turned 37 and had 3 fights last year. You lose troll.
lol @ this clownshoe
what were the rankings of those 3 fighters.
i'll wait

Last year, Mungia went life and death and was almost knocked out by inactive 38 year old, 5'8 devachenko, and you think he would be fav vs Gvozdyk. You love saying silly stuff don't you? lol
Gvozdyk is 40 yrs old. and retired for 5 yrs.
A level - champ
B level - contender
C level - non-contender
Gvozdyk is C level at this point. Mungia would be odds on favorite against Gvozdyk if they fight rn. this is a fact.

The munguia victory is not going to age well. Be patience.
I used to think he'd steam roll him since canelos declining
but benavidez power looked pretty average at 175
Did you not see the mountain of a man he was trying to chop down? While Benny couldn't seem to really hurt Gvozdyk, he stung him enough to keep him on the defensive.
I honestly have no track into the Freudian underbelly of Canelo's mind... Presumptious as it might be, I do not believe you do either...

Mandatories are straw men. It gives fighters who really fought the worse competition an "out." the Klits always fought their mandatories, or at least generally... Lewis made a point of fighting the best, mandatory, or not. Lewis fought great competition compared to the Klits. Sometimes a mandatory is the right fight, other times it is shiat.
I agree about the Lumox brothers: If you deconstruct these two they are criminals, scammers, they do not have the gravitas that Andrew Tate has... Tate really has special charms while the Paul brothers are lumoxes. My wife told me "Honey those are the guys you stay away from in High School" lol. Yet these two manage to sell fights. WHAT COULD A FIGHTER LIKE SHAKUR do? If he applied himself the same way? Ryan... Tank... Bud... these guys could do it if the lumox brothers can do it, that is my point. So yeah not every fighter could do what Tate is capable of, but they certainly imo could do what the Paul Brothers do! minus the scams lol.
I would not want you to think I am calling either of these brothers "boxers" in the conventional sense, only that sometimes one needs to see the reality of how social media can be a promoter... for real fighters.

Well, if you can see my tears, good for you. I don't cry about any fighter, as a fan I ask for that fighter to fight his mandatory or vacate, and I don't pay if I don't get the right service in return, having watched a canelo fight in years. If you compare canelo to Paul, You have already proved my point. As a professional boxer, they have responsibilities to their fan, which canelo forgot. Paul is not a boxer, he's an influencer who has found a niche to make millions with the new generation, millennials, and Z. He would have not survived before the 90s. We love real boxing. Be safe.

Govdyk is not C level. Mungia is though and Canelo lost at least 4 rounds to him. lol.

I do not disagree... Except perhaps defining "new." At least since the days of Leonard and Hagler things have been inclining that way... If that is new to you so be it.
I am not excusing anyone just looking for the root of the problems to be be destroyed. Fighters will fight the best if they have to... The reading comp here is really bad, and so is the sense of control... My posts have always suggested that instead of crying like you are about a fighter YOUR A FAN DON'T BUY THE FIGHT! I keep saying it lol. 'And no Canelo is no better or worse than the rest of them.
People hate the s c u m bag Paul brothers and I agree... But they sell fights that casuals like to see. Why can't boxers sell fights? Like De La Hoya did? etc. And why can't fans not buy the overpriced PPV's? I don't lol...
