Guess thats why he's hardly lost a round as a professional.
easy when the competition has been B- or lower to date. We shall see what happens when he fights another world class fighter.
hahahahaha
what a joke
the forum seems too have become infested with these delusional klitschko nuthuggers
I can agree with you on that.. Come on now everyone Vitali or Wlad would not put a prime Tyson out in one or two rounds and it is highly unlikely that either of them would win.
The explosive force of Tyson would be very hard to bear or counter for either Klitschko. Mike had a very good chin, and was fast enough to get past the jabs. And his punching power is legendary.
I'd give Mike 75% to KO/TKO Wladimir, and 60% to KO/TKO Vitali. If the Ukainians survived for 8+ rounds, they both had a good chance to TKO Mike or get a UD/SD. But it's a big IF.
The prime Tyson was a beast, one of the most intimidating fighters in the ring of all time. Such a fight would be like a tiger vs. a robot.
Mike Tyson was not a super human, he could be beaten but I can agree with you that neither of the two brothers has a high probability of beating him.
Ring Magazine will still rank Pacquiao as #1, but it would make it clear that a JMM vs Pacquiao fight has to happen...
Yes the ring would rank him at number one. So a third fight would definitely need to happen. Unfortunately, knowing boxing it probably would not come off. Arum has said a few times that he isn't really interested in pacman going in against marquez again. Although if both win their respective fights the money that such a fight might generate might change that quickly.
Muhammad Ali - Beats Tyson easy, unless he gets hit playing around etc. (But he still would win)
Joe Frazier
George Foreman - See Foreman vs Frazier and you get your answer, he would demolish Mike without even breaking a sweat. Hits much harder than Tyson could ever dream of hitting.
Larry Holmes -Easton Assassin wins by sticking a jab in Tysons face. Young Larry holmes had a magnificent jab, arguably the best ever, and we all know what happens when Tyson meets jabs. (Dumb gorilla cannot escape)
Joe Louis - Takes Tyson Down
Rocky Marciano - And down goes Marciano
Sonny Liston - Again beats Tyson (Fought fifteen round fights back when training was something important to boxers, that alone is enough.)
Jack Johnson _ see below
Gene Tunney - same thing as Dempsey both he and Dempsey lose easy
Jack Dempsey - can you actually call what they did boxing??
he knocked out larry holmes, so scrach him off the list. the others in all reality noone will ever know, butimo yes some could be better then mike
And Larry holmes was how old then and had not boxed in how long? When Tyson had not fought in a long time and got old you see what happened to him. Think about it.
If that is the case then that means Tyson could not defeat Danny Williams or Kevin Mcbride.
tyson rips all of them except maybe ali
Muhammad Ali
Lennox Lewis
Vitali Klitschko
Joe Louis
George Foreman
Joe Frazier
Mike Tyson
thats the order
I can agree with you that some of them are above Tyson but Vitali on the list, cannot agree with you on that, both he and Lennox (I wont train for fights) would have been tune up fighters for the past greats. Did you see how soggy lennox was against vitali and some others out there? (Hated the gym)
my friend and I went to the streets of Maryland, DC, and Baltimore, and interview 147 people, and ask the question about the Miguel Cotto fight and Margarito. 47 americans, 21 Italians, mexican and canadians. 144 of these people beleive the fight was ilegal, amazing thing.
how long did it take you to make this all up? You interviewed all these people and you even have their racial makeup, yet get this you cannot even conjugate or form a proper sentence. What type of person who goes out to do interviews cannot even write a proper sentence. look kid, you really should thnk things out more thoroughly before you tell lies. Saying things like this in a public forum not only shows your age and childishness but also how much you want others to pay attention to your threads which make no sense.
(note, before I read this thread I climbed to the top of mount everest and challenged Anderson Silva to a fight and the only reason he won is because I slipped when i was climbing to the top and I was tired from the long climb. And on the way up I had to fight a mountain lion and I got some sand in my eye.) Probably more believable than what you are saying.
Berto? Berto couldnt even win against Steve Forbes, (yeah he won the fight in the eyes of the judges but did he really win?) and then again against Luiz Collazo he got the win but did he really win it? Clottey should fight Berto which would be easy for him. If it isnt then Berto belongs at the top but thus far Berto has not been impressive.
As for Sugar Shane he is getting older and styles make fights. Mosley usually takes the offensive and Clottey is a counter puncher. (Could make an interesting fight, as mosley would either play right into his style or prove to be too fast and strong for clottey.
having a tournament in all weight divisions is a great idea, yet that is where it ends. it is just an idea and will never get past that. First, you have promoters who have difficulty working with one another, Don King and Arum have worked with one another but the two obviously dislike each other and they have shown it on various occasison and getting them together took miracles. Besides that you have the networks, Fighter A is a showtime fighter and fighter B is an HBO fighter, even if you can get the promoters together it is hard to get them and the networks together too unless their is an unimaginable amount of money involved.
Showtime could to the middle tournament because all of the fighters int he tournament are showtime fighters so they didnt have to deal with the other networks. Secondly all of the promoters involved were second and third tier promoters, to add to that some of the promoters promoted more than one fighter so less hands in the pot. if you check the other divisions some of them are ruled by HBO some are ruled by Showtime, Some have a split and some have a different promoter for each fighter making it almost impossible. To top if all off the belt organizations sometimes get fussy and strip belts over mandatories and other reasons. Besides sometimes they dont sanction such events.
i have yet to be proven otherwise
americans are ignorant, they think they completley alone saved europe in ww2. even though britain and the soviet union did just as much.
and now americans hates britain, russia, europe just as much as the nazis hated jews.
and americans won ever give respect to fighters from these countries and europe.
Perhaps you should try responding more positively. Every post you have had in this thread has contained attacks on Americans for every reason in the book, even when some of the American posters and other posters said positive things about Europeans or pointed out wins that they had. Secondly you cannot generalized the entire country with a one-sided view. Not every American thinks that way and some of the posters here have vehemently defended Europeans, look how many have defended the two brothers or Joe Calzaghe.
Many of the other fights I would have wished for have been mentioned so I will only add new ones.
1. Aaron Pryor vs. Roberto Duran
2. Aaron Pryor vs. Sugar Ray Leonard
3. Roy Jones vs Calzaghe (young not old)
4. George Foreman vs. Larry Holmes (young)
5. Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson (pre-prison Tyson)
6. Felix Savoy Vs. (Anyone currently at heavyweight he would have beat them all, too bad he could never come to the U.S.)
7.Ike Ibeaubuchi Vs. anyone currently at heavyweight (Too bad he went to prison)
More to come
Well here we go again...taylor will revive his career in this tournament right...or is he just plain garbage now???
I don't think he will be the one to come out on top.
stamina problems, lost his hunger (although he got it back after the first pavlik fight). more than anything its his inability to adapt. he did well against hopkins (although i though he lost) bcuz BHop fit him perfectly. but hes flawed against other style fighters.
i think sweetness was right on the money. taylor fights to keep his oponents of him, not to attack. its like hes just trying to buy time.
if u watch him pre hopkins he was a killer. not cuz he fought lesser guys, u could see it in his eyes, they way he went after his oponents. he lost his bad intentions once he became champion.
btw comparing him to jeff lacy is less than fair. lacy got a easy road to a title and lost badly to every good fighter he ever fought. taylor fought lots of great fighters and even when coming up short gave them one hell of a fight. he earned his title shot too. not to mention he gave lacy the ass whupping of a lifetime.
I have to disagree with you on this many feel that Taylor had an easy road to the title and he had some easy defenses as well. Remember he fought Hopkins (in a fight that many felt he lost, both times, so I agree with you there). he fought Corey Spinks and arguably lost that one, he fought William Joppy and after the fight the two looked like they had just had a warm up. A list of other non-descript opponents on the way up and after getting the belt. (He should have easily shined against a small welterweight looking Spinks and Kassim Ouma.
I think Honestly that Taylor just never was as great as they make him out to be. He was average but not exceptional and when he fought other goood, great and exceptional fighters it showed. Hence why Abraham will probably come out the victor in their fight. To add to that as others said he is not adaptable in the ring. He is either in box mode or survivor mode but nothing in between or besides that.
what do you mean what happened? his best real wins are over william joppy, raul marquez and jeff lacy. just not that good no matter what hbo tells you.
Exactly the point that many of us have tried to get across. He was not really that good to begin with. He was a champion that was force fed to the fans.
Word but i think mosley will ko berto. Problem i see is berto hugging to much. But if that doesn't happen there will be some fireworks
Bertos 0 had to go sometime and if he fights Mosely it surely will go. (honestly it should have been gone already when he fought Forbes and Collazo)
I have disliked kellerman from the beggining now he is on HBO ruining the telecast there. he is akin to the poor commentators that were on Showtime, The fat black guy (When he was still commentating) and one or two othe rones. usually when Max is speaking I have to turn down the volume or do something else for a minute. Just hearing him speak is irritating and his wide-eyed over-excitable commentary style is about as fun as hearing someone scratch chalk on the chalkboard. Everyone says that foreman was such a bad commentator but he wasnt nearly as bad as this kid. (not even close)
Hagler and Ali were never really hated like floyd is so i cant see things getting better for his cause down the track!!!
Have you ever seen some of Haglers earlier fights?? He didn't even get recognition and when he fought in England and beat one of their fighters. I think it was allan minter (Maybe even won the title) They booeed and threw beer cans etc in the ring at hagler. Hagler did not really get his props for a long time down the line.
Ali not hated??? When Ali didnt agree to go to war he was hated by many in the states and called all sorts of names, jailed, had his license taken and had no way to earn a living. During the time before he was jailed he had to fight outside of the states in England etc and even stoop to performing in plays/musicals to get money to live. (if that is not hating someone then I dont know what is.)
In the last 2 years and 9 months, Dirrell has fought once. He went 2 rounds with Darryl Cunningham. Dirrell is almost 30. Forget about him.
I would have to agree with this. After a point you begin to lose that edge. His inactivity at his age is a huge concern. I would agree, throw in the towel on him and call it a day. If anything perhaps look at his brother (But we will see how he develops and if he steps up the opposition at any time)
I think he should call it quits. Leave now before it's too late. If he absolutely has to fight though, go out on win and fight Bundrage or Spinks (Someone who cannot hurt a fly when he punches) Then call it a day.
Roberto Duran - would walk through anybody out there at the lighter divisions.
Ali - would easily dispatch everyone out there including the Klitchkos
Marvin Hagler -Same deal destroys everyone and everything out there.
George Foreman - destroys everyone (The heavyweight Division is horrible now)
Pernell whitaker - Mayweather gives some trouble but still loses to him.
Evaynder Holyfield - The klitchkos size might trouble him but at light heavy he stops everybody out there (At cruiser same thing).
Honestly though, anyone who fought in the early 90's or prior to that would stop or defeat any of todays fighters with the exception of Mayweather, perhaps young Jones and Pacquaio. (In the past the fighters trained to fight 12-15 rounds. Not 8 rounds like today's fighters. Most of todays fighters have to be threatened just to get them to come in shape. Half of them whine over money etc and then they do everything they can to train less than necessary. Or they train just enough to get a W. THe Klitchkos also consistently come into the ring in shape but alas (They are just not great. They are good but alive in a division that has noo talent at all. When your biggest threats are blown up light-heavies and cruisers then something is wrong)
Hagler would have destroyed Roy Jones. Look at what he did to some of the other ATG and some other great fighters. Jones would not have stood a chance in this one.
Yes, but Mayorga has fought sporadically for the last few years. Margarito, used to be avoided but then he got caught up in an illegal wraps scandal and lost some fights in horrible fashion. He used to throw tons of punches and seemingly had decent power. Mayorga at 147 had a steel jaw and wasnt too shabby either. It would have been great to get the two in the ring back in the day when Mayorga would clown fighters then get in the ring take their biggest shots and laugh or do some other comedic thing. Yeah you can get them in the ring now but Mayorga at 160? or even a catch weight isnt fair for him. *(The best Mayorga was at 147). Besides that it may not be prime floyd (If you want to argue that point) but if he isnt prime he is still an elite fighter. Can the same be said for Mayorga or Margarito?
Floyd would lose this fight the same way his father did. When his father fought Leonard he did the shoulder roll and tried all that movement just like Floyd Junior does. One thing about Leonard is that he was extremely adaptable in the ring and was an outstanding fighter, when he was young. Floyd would have been on the losing end of this one and would not have made it to twelve.
