Is he ever going to fight again?
I felt in the fight against Froch (which I scored even) he grew up & started to believe in himself.
Is he still suffering from injuries or are there other issues?
You felt he grew up in the Froch fight? At what stage was that? After he ran his ass around the ring?
That's EXACTLY my point, mate. He ran (& ran & ran) & threw nothing in return.
For about 10 1/2 rounds.
Froch, on the other hand, pressed forward ineffectually.
Neither one, in my opinion, deserved a win. I watched it on Showtime & their commentary was horrendous. The most biased crap I have ever heard. That's the reason why so many Stateside screamed robbery. They should watch it again without the Showtime twats in the background.
But, sometime late in the fight I just sensed that Dirrell thought to himself "I'm good enough to compete at this level". If he fought the whole fight like he fought at the end he may have won. Of course, he may also have got knocked out so you never know.
He is super talented but he doesn't appear to have a fighters mentality.
And I do agree with the comments that he acted up in the Abraham fight - although we never know the real damage a fighter feels in the ring.
You don't know what you're talking about, do you? Oscar used to fade late in fights BEFORE hooking up with Sr. Like he did against Trinidad and Mosley I.
And who the hell is Arrendano? Do you mean Robert Alcazar? :lol1:
Judging by your ignorance you must be a Pac tard alt. Don't bring that bullsh*t into this thread. Keep it about Dirrell.
Last time I looked Delahoya faded in every fight unless you were watching someone else, Who cares what the guys name was as long as we know whom I'm talking about. Delahoya even got his ass waxed by 130 Valero during sparring session's. Take a look at the Floyd fight they were aware of his fading that's why they would tell Floyd he's going to fade. Last you don't tell me what to write. If you don't like what I write don't respond you dumba$$
In the last 2 years and 9 months, Dirrell has fought once. He went 2 rounds with Darryl Cunningham. Dirrell is almost 30. Forget about him.
I would have to agree with this. After a point you begin to lose that edge. His inactivity at his age is a huge concern. I would agree, throw in the towel on him and call it a day. If anything perhaps look at his brother (But we will see how he develops and if he steps up the opposition at any time)
So explain Oscar being tired by round 9 when Floyd Sr had him....Agressive Oscar was far more aggressive under Arrendano.

He's a Fugazi if he had Neurological problems as he stated there's no Neurologist that would okay his boxing license . He faked that Abraham hit so he wouldn't be ko'd in the 12 th round he also feared of losing to Ward. The guy is nothing but a cry baby who lacks a nut sack
He still talks a good fight. He has not defeated a good fighter in years.I think he lacks the heart of a really good fighter. If he has a reason for fighting so little he has not stated it.
I saw an interview where in the last year promotional issues have prevented him getting in the ring more often, but he didn't explain his inactivity prior to that.
If the guy is willing to travel to Europe he'll probably get fights with Magee, Kessler, Abraham, Froch etc. It all comes down to how much he wants it.

"Let’s just put it this way,” De La Hoya said after a brief pause. "To me, to this day, Floyd Mayweather Sr. is the best trainer in the world, hands down."
"The reason why I say that is, he gets you in great shape, which is part of the game plan,” said De La Hoya. “Then he teaches you the art of boxing. He teaches you the art of defense. He teaches you how to be aggressive, how to throw more jabs. He’s a trainer that if any young fighter wants to take his fight game to a whole new level, call Floyd Mayweather Sr. He’s the guy."

So explain Oscar being tired by round 9 when Floyd Sr had him, Oscar wasn't made for the Shoulder roll had no rhythm. Defense is also slipping punches, bobbing and weaving, using your feet by in and out and using the ring and blocking Floyd Sr only teaches the shoulder roll and like I said Oscar has no rhythm for the shoulder roll. Agressive Oscar was far more aggressive under Arrendano. When fighter change trainers they always say their new guy is the best
Floyd Sr is a hype job as a trainer, his son made him by having cat like reflexes. He made Oscar worse, Oscar last best fight was against Trinadad which Arrenodo trained him. Sr took Oscar body punching away and stamina. With Sr Oscar was tired by round 9 and he became a panty hose $i$$y in heels

Is this the guy who had a brian disease or some weird shyt like that?
Yeah just ask Dr. Shaw High

He got caught up in the whole TMT/50 Cent beef so he has been inactive.
But he has been training with Floyd Mayweather Sr and should be fighting again soon. Hopefully he'll get and stay active in 2013, the guy has huge potential.

If direll can return to peak condition...he'd be Ward's toughest test without question. A guy who's got faster legs, a bit more power and faster handspeed than him. Course Ward would have the edge since he is fast enough to catch him. Just would be a big chest match. Dawson just didn't have much footwork at all hence i think Dirrell is the final opponent Ward needs a test against.

So much potentially but would up a waste. The Abraham fight definitely hit him mentally. Hell in the fight camp 360, it was apparent when in the episode before the fight....as he watching the Taylor KO...can def see how scared he was and wa la...gets a taste of that power lol.
Such a shame we never got to see Ward and Dirrell....would've been the most hyped match of the Super 6 tournament hands down, even more than Ward-Froch.

Dirrell (even I think the kid is mad talented) is suffering from nothing other than "*****-ass-ness".
