How do you feel Boxing is doing right now and what are some things that can be done better. How is Boxing doing where you live and how do you feel it is doing globally? :boxing::boxing:
Thanks dude, you inspired a pretty cool to read assesment.
"Boxing needs to speedup and face up. The amateur Street fighting Sport is doing more which much much less by having more fights happening and more of the top brawlers are facing each other. Of course not for Pro money, but still keeping most of the attention of the "Other sports" average fan watching. Frequent Big fights will maybe drop a little on demand, but One Big fight a month would make IMO more money. Demand would have to challenge to keep up with the best fights. Promoters are bloodsuckers and without them I think the sport and those practice the sport will have the benefit of safety obtions after all they should make their own money if they can. While the Big shots attempt to create more demand for more money, who feeds the hard core Boxing fan? Who waits some times in vain to watch the fights WE want to see.
Too much cats eating out of the same can.
Allow the boxers to negotiate before getting to money negotiations, even that I defer with the current drug screening systems. It should be taken seriously and left to the private sector options to be agreed by the boxers and it has to be one to stay current new technology. The fights should be screened privately by a neutral outsource to assure fairness. Safety should increase to create a balance for the boxers. This is a hardcore Sport. Bottom line is that in Boxing while on steroid power can and will bring serious injuries and death. The Screening systems need to be updated for the new products out there. When such of money is in play, I think boxers should be DNA screed. The money is there and it will insure the lives of boxers.
But deep inside, everybody knows that Boxing is the ultimate Mano a Mano sport. Boxers are ones absorbing the liability and the consequences."

Solis is making more money here than fighting. Canelo needs to calm down before He becomes a Mexican Tyson. The 1st thing a Professional fighter has to learn is to keep his hands to himself. Anyone would come and insult him to get him to hit them to make money. Hopefully, the kid will learn from this experience.
Boxers's hands are consider lethal weapons in any court.
Roberto Duran is a good example. A good puncher hits you on your chin and you are out, of course that's unless you are juiced'up then nothing can stop you.
Bute, Froch or Ward would of given a good fight. RJJ was very fast and had great reflexes, but made a lot of technical mistakes; He was not unbeatable.
Greedy Arum thinks He runs the Boxing World and has been on a mission to make Inhouse fights. I hope it backfires on his AZZ and Bradley beats his goldcow. IMO Boxing will benefit when He steps aside and allows less greedy negotiators to run his firm.
Bradley is crazy to sign to TR, when they are bringing him as the sacrifice lamb and probably won't help him after HE gets beaten by the SuperRoidHeroe.
HE IS staying away. All we hear a politic games from both politicians Pacquiao and Arum. They tell the public one thing, but everybody with any sense knows they have everthing to loose.
If they loose after testing, the World will know that Super Manny was made super with drugs and IMO they can't beat Mayweather, drugs or not.
So we will continue to hear BS from both Pacquiao and Arum and the fight will NEVER happen.
Mayweather should move on to find his defining fight with Martinez at 154 and close his carrier as one of the best boxer of his generation.
Pacquiao is a fighter that sets his punches time after time (a 1 2 fighter). while Floyd timing allows him to improvise on the spot.
Also Pacquiao is very fast, but also very predictable. After timing Pacquiao, I can't see Super Manny landing much.
OK, so after the left hook, WAS THAT SIGNAL ENOUGH? Ortiz decided to keep his hands down in that split second and was waiting for the next punch. Maybe Cortez should of brought flags to signal time. I'm sure he told both boxers before the fight to PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES.
Less stop looking for excuses to take credit from Mayweather's win. Have you hero Mr. Politician take the test, and less get it on. Less get real here, we got better chances of watching a Mayweather vs Obama fight than we have of watching the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight ever happening. All we will get is TALK of him and his retards.
Boxrec, Wikipedia, and even Top Rank's own website have Pacquiao recorded as winning only 6 world titles... not 8.

Quote from Top Rank's website...count'em:
"He has won world titles at 112, 122, 130, 135, 147, and 154 pounds."
WBC Flyweight World Champion (112 lbs)
IBF Junior Featherweight World Champion (122 lbs)
WBC Super Featherweight World Champion (130 lbs)
WBC Lightweight World Champion (135 lbs)
WBO Welterweight World Champion (147 lbs)
WBC Super Welterweight World Champion (154 lbs)
Why? Because:
A) The Ring title is not an official world title.
B) The IBO Jr. Welterweight is a Regional Minor Title.
Chalk it up as the Guinness not knowing much about boxing.
Don't be surprised if he's removed from the Guinness due to a misinformed error.
Also, considering the title won at a catch weight against Cotto, and the vacant title won at a catch weight against a guy who wasn't even ranked at 154 (Margarito) it seems delusional for informed boxing fans to get excited this so-called achievement.
Crazy Fans just want to make the steroidfilsuper Manny a God.
Mayweather didn't show any ring rust, His timing was crisp and the strategy and execution was perfect. He established the right hand the 1st few rounds while He timed Ortiz, then started to establish is left hook and his jab. If Ortiz would of continue fighting, I have no doubts that Mayweather would of continue timing Ortiz and looking better round after round. I don't think there's any welterweight that can beat him right now.
