I would sign with top rank, they have control over the media and have the most power,as much as we hate bob arum and his lies lets keep ine thing real he made oscar and manny and many top fighters, power causes corruption but i rather be with him then crosd dresser oscar but i like richard shaffaer.don king is good at promoting but i wouldnt get to close to him.who would you pick?
He beat a world champ who was a top 3 WW.
And who did Berto beat??Berto was very unproven going into that fight against Ortiz..It one thing if Berto was fighting other highly ranked opponents at WW,that was not the case..Berto since winning the WBC belt(which he beat a D level fighter to win)he had not fought a top 5 opponent, and if I'm not mistaken still has not beat a top 5 opponent...
GBP all day. Ortiz was on ppv after only one elite win, Alvarez is a multimillionaire & undefeated world champ without facing any real threat. Enough said.
Ortiz has never had a elite win...:nono:
1. Goosen Tutor
2. Gary Shaw
3. Lou Dibella
4. Golden Boy
I would want to sign with a promoter thats good to the sport, i would rather not fight than be controled by ppl like arum and king. this is a dangerous sport so you shouldnt surround yourself with crooks. also i wouldnt be able to respect myself if i signed with someone like arum who seems so determined to ruin boxing.
i like everyhting about the goosens, they have respectable leverage in the sport, make good fights and are real boxing ppl and seem like good ppl period. gary shaw makes great fights, he truly supports his fighters and he has lots of influence with showtime the best network for real fighters and real fight fans.
dibella makes good fights, is good for the sport and seems like a respectable man. also he has growing influence in the sport.
golden boy tend to overprotect their fighters but they also tend to step up when it matters (unlike some promoters), they have lots of influence, generate big money and have a great stable of fighters to potentially spar with leading up to fights. that big stable could work against you if you take a loss or two though and like mentioned they could keep you from doing whats right for the sport.
Top Rank does a great job promoting, but Bob gets too much of the money.
Goldenboy has this terrible problem overhyping prospects and then pushing them way too hard before they're ready...
That said... Goldenboy does a good job paying off judges to keep undefeated records to use for promotion
I'll go with Goldenboy
suuuure champ....once he's made you a multi millionaire, you'd be singing a different tune
"i'll fight who my promoter tells me to" = "i dont care, just give me my guaranteed $10mil"
I have witnessed how TR handles its fighters from Erik Morales and to tell you the truth Arum does make the fights happens specially the once that will earn big money both for him and his fighters ...
also see what he does for Cotto, Margarito and Pac

Frank Warren AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE
Frank warren i left him out cuz i picked american promoters,id pick warren if i was from the UK hes like there version of top rank.
Flomos will say Golden Boy
Pactards will say Top Rank
Beleive it or not they will do this subconciously or not since they are bias. Flomos will say "Golden boy is better since they can get more exposure". Pactards will say Top Rank by saying "They develop better" when in reality they just feed a buncha taxi cab drivers to their young title holders and people beleive that is "developing"....what a joke boxing has become
