i'm so glad they gave canelo a second chance.
Canelo must be upset with his second chance and small $365mil contract as he'll never get to fight the mighty PPV King Jermall Charlo. Usyk lucky he got chance from DAZN too.. He's never won a title, he might just get his second chance.
We'll see how many buys Wilder v Fury does. Eddie lays out in this video what the split will be depending on how many buys it does:
1m + he will get 50/50 split.
Under 300k 80/20 split in Joshua's favor.
300-400k 70/30 split in Joshua's favor.
500k - 1m 60/40 split in Joshua's favor.
I'm sure they are numbers just thrown out off the top of his head but they are fairly reasonable. Wilder expects to do 2.5m buys so you can understand him thinking he deserves 60/40.
Those are very reasonable numbers but Wilder isn't reasonable.. He's ultra deluded. The fight won't do over 400k.. Not even over 300k but there is no way Wilder fights AJ for the reasonable 30% or 20% split based on those PPV numbers.
Ask Wilder and he'll say he deserves 60% even if his fight does less than 100k. I think they should give Wilder 35 to 40 percent regardless if Wilder Fury does 100k or 500k cus team Wilder are the most deluded pack of people. It's not all about money to them apparently but he won't fight for less than 50% even to he's not even 1 quarter the commercial value of AJ.
Ok so then I guess when people ask AJ about Wilder we can say the same thing. Good to know
AJ doesn't need Wilder to build his status, it was already built without Wilder, neither is he promoting his fights by constantly bringing up Wilder.. as a matter of fact he rarely even mentions Wilder even when he's asked about Wilder.
Um she asked about Joshua. Are you people on this site ok? Reporters ask these guys about one another then you fools whine when they answer the question. All these fighters talk about one another, especially if they are in the same division
That's the point.. Wilder's fame is built on the back of AJ.. AJ is the main talking point for Wilder and that’s where he gets his little popularity form but just yesterday he said he doesn’t need AJ to build his status.
Apart from Canelo and AJ they do have second rate fighters on DAZN, but it’s early days. Am sure more fighters (The smart businessmen) would be observing DAZN. I think Mikey Garcia would be a big catch for DAZN if he went that way. He is a very smart boxer and businessman, he isn’t an uneducated/emotional speaker like Charlo, Broner or Wilder. This is why he hasn’t said anything positive nor negative in regards to being approached by DAZN.
He's probably referring to Andrade and Jacobs as second chance fighters because they won/winning thier world title in a second chance. Still better getting a second chance at GGG or Canelo than never getting a first chance at all.. I mean he's fighting Tony Harrison next ffs.
If showtime fighters only fight once a year then they will eventually leave that platform.. And if they keep charging PPV when the biggest PPV star isn't even on PPV, showtime will fail if they stay on this path I think.
lol this is the only issue i had with eddie hearn making such statements. you are going to have frank warren and finkel doing everything they possibly can to get as many buys as possible, including dropping the PPV price down to $40 or less just to make sure that more people buy the fight, or possibly fudging the numbers just to back hearn into a corner.
If they drop the price to $30 it would certainly do better number but I still doubt it does a million. Also if they drop the fight Hearn’s offer of 50/50 will be off the table because he is going off the revenue being made at 1 mill standard PPV price. They can get a million PPV’s buy if they drop it to $5 but they will make peanuts.
Lol winner of Wilder/Fury will be the “A Side” everyone keeps talking about.
Eddie is adorable
In what world does the biggest star in boxing, the highest paid HW fighter, the only proven PPV fighter, the unified champion with 4 belts go into a fight with a lesser popular fighter with only 1 belt and become the B side??!! WTF, thats nonsense and if you believe that you’re just fooling yourself.
Wilder is not a PPV fighter, he can only feature in a PPV if his opponent is a big name. A PPV fighter is someone who can always sell PPV regardless of opponent.. Takam vs Wilder would never be on PPV.
:lol1: It ain't about taking your word, man, it's about wanting to see the primary source and judge my it's significance and ramifications for myself. Don't take it personal though, if mama Koba told me the sky was blue I'd probably still pop my head out the window to check.
That's fair enough. Sometimes I just CBA to link a source but I never make threads just making stuff up. We'll see what happens but I tend to believe Whyte when he says his team were in negotiations with Vlad so maybe we do see a comeback.
Oh Whyte confirms it?
Because yesterday Wlad said that there was no way he was coming out of retirement.
Gotta ask where these reports are coming from? You post a lot of things that are going to happen with DAZN, but never post a link.
https://youtu.be/Vy555pvgl1o
Most the things I post come to pass.. Sometimes just can't be bothered to put a link to the source but here you go. Whyte says Vlad is lying about not coming back and that his team were in active negotiations with Vlad.
Eddie Hearn “Wlad would you be interested in coming out of retirement to fight Dillian Whyte?”
Wlad “hell no, I haven’t fought in two years and haven’t gotten a win in over four!”
Translation - Wlad wants a tune up first
:lol1::lol1:
Of course its only fair he has a tune up.. He lost to 2 of the best of this generation and did well in those fights.. Well, maybe not in Fury fight but that was more so what he didn't do than what Fury did. Vlad wasn't himself that night but probs to Fury for taking him off his game.
IMO Vlad beats Whyte, Miller and even Wilder.
He still beats everyone but Joshua and Fury
I agree.. He can come back and beat pretty much every fighter minus the 2 best he's lost to. I'd love to see him against Wilder. IMO Vlad is too technical for Wilder and his jab will f**k up Wilder all day long.
Darn, no link :(
(even though I know he's not coming back to fight)
DEVELOPING: Wladimir Klitschko has held talks with DAZN on a three-fight deal that would end his retirement https://t.co/hbLpeHthSz— Mike Coppinger (@MikeCoppinger) January 18, 2019
Mike I'd say is a very reliable source.
Triangle theories don't work doe.
You can’t be the B side to a lesser known B side fighter himself then expect to become A side with the biggest, most popular A side fighter.. that’s just common sense. AJ makes more money than Wilder and Fury made in their fight combined so why on earth would AJ now split his earning in half with someone who makes pennies compared to him.
Wilder maybe should take 60/40 but Fury will want 50/50 or AJ getting the 40%
Thats just Fury talking big trying to negotiate a good deal. How can he expect 50% against AJ when he gets 40% against Wilder.
this Wilderites are so tards. They believe Shelly is a saint that whatever he says or do is absolutely true.
They are the biggest dummies I have ever come across.
Wilder fans are the dumbest.. it’s no surprise, their idol never makes sense and always contradicts himself.
Wilder: “AJ is begging for the fight, he’s chasing, he’s desperate to fight me”
Wilder fanboy: “AJ scared, Hearn don’t want the fight they running”
Like don’t you agree with your idol?
Where did these numbers come from? Did not see this reported. Was this just Eddie talking Bollocks?
If he’s talking rubbish then why hasn’t Shelly come out and said it’s not true and that is a slave contract?? That’s what he normally does. You fan boys need to realise that Shelly has not come out and said it’s a bad offer because can you imagine him saying we got offered the most money ever in a60/40 but we’re not happy? Everybody would call Wilder a duck for rejecting a offer like this.. It might even be a too good of an offer!
these offers prove that eddie knows wilder is pursuing the fury rematch...but we already knew that because wilder told the world and eddie thats what he was doing...and for good reason
and they also prove wilder probably made the smart move fighting fury..if he beats him hes going to make alot more money than he would have under hearns old, fake, cheap offers
good day mate
So you’re admitting Wilder is ducking.. Why is he perusing the Fury fight?
He makes more money in the AJ fight!
He gets the change to become undisputed! (One name, One face, One Champ isn’t that what he’s all about)
It’s the biggest fight in boxing right now!
If he’s confident he’ll win, he can still fight Fury after but for a lot more money!
So why is he perusing Fury again???!! I’ll tell you, because it’s easier.
It most likely will be Ortiz considering he has more heart than those Matchroom boys. They are playing it safe so they can stumble into a world title shot. Ortiz will step up again like when he stepped up after Whyte ran from the eliminator.
Usyk is a mathroom fight doe...
I remember When Spence fought Brook he was also reluctant tom sign up for VADA.. Brook came out publicly telling Spence to sign up for VADA on social media and he did eventually but he didn't want to.. Though he was suspect back then.
Wilder has been on every channel doing interviews since the fight. What are you talking about?
Link me to one of those interviews? There isn't one! His last one was with that girl where they played wet and Wilder which was conveniently before AJ landed in America.. Also notice how he doesn't talk about AJ anymore? All he does is makes excuses why he won against Fury.. He's a joke.
he was enrolled in VADA for the first Bermane fight for the WBC strap. He was 219 lbs.
Still on VADA 365, he went to fight Spilka more than a year later, he was 229 lbs.
So he gained weight under VADA 365.
Now he lost weight yes but he gained weight first.
If you read my other post I clarify what happened with Spzlika.. I don't know if you remember, after that brutal KO Spzlika was hospitalised, he said there was no drug testing and felt like Wilder was on something.
Anyhow WBC VADA clean boxing program was introduced after that fight and even after it has been introduced Wilder himself has said they only test you when you’re in camp not year round. See my comment below below
Wrong.. WBC clean boxing program was introduced after Splizka fight and ever since it was introduced, Wilder has lost weight! Splizka even bough up the issue there was no drug testing for their fight and called out Wilder for not taking tests (See article below).
