For somebody who isnt near as good as some people would like us to believe id say there is a good chance hes going to be a 2nd chance fighter before too long.

Hearing these dudes talk about "A side" when every fight I see of theirs are in sparsely attended arenas, drives me nuts

IMany boxers are fighting once a year, whether they are with Hearn, Arum, Haymon, Oscar etc it irrelevant. They need to be active. And if DAZN would keep these boxers active then great for the sport. Instead of downplaying their concept/platform after only a month or two in the market we should be encouraging them, they are investing in boxing. So all that rubbish about no young fighter is going to sign to fight on a platform that is watch by 50k people is rubbish coming from you. Support the sport, whether it’s PBC, FOX, DAZN or whatever. More investment in boxing = more fights for boxers and more viewing and option for fans. Eddie Hearn purposefully and deliberately stalled out Joshua-Wilder, the fight that everyone actually wants to see, is still teasing the Brook-Khan fight after how many years now, and literally thought that he could simply show up with a bag of money and simply purchase the US boxing scene. Encourage that if you want. Reshat Mati, to me from the outside looking in, has a good chance to be a good fighter. Hopefully Eddie Hearn does right by him. Come the 2020 Olympics cycle (possibly the final go for boxing in the Olympics), we'll see how things shake out.

That’s the exact thing that I said prior to the Ortiz fight, I was urging them to put that fight on PPV, so Wilder can have his first sales and actually get a better deal against Joshua. But I was told by these fanatics that showtime wouldn’t want that. Like you said if Wilder isn’t fighting Fury then he would be on free TV again. I don’t mind free boxing for fans but it means Wilder can’t make demands against those that actually sell their fights on PPV. As it stands right now Dillian Whyte has been on PPV. His fans usually run away from the truth.

No young fighter is fighting once a year, though. He's not young, but Yordenis Ugas signed with Al Haymon, took every opportunity to fight for whatever money that was on offer against whomever, and fought 8 times in two years. Joey Spencer is basically set to fight 6 times in his first 10 months as a pro. "Cowboy" Ryan Karl has fought 17 times in 4 years under Haymon. Pritchard Colon (blessings be upon him) fought 17 times in two and a half years. If you simply want to fight, Haymon has more than enough activity available for you to just fight. The issue under the Haymon model comes up when you get to the point of being lined up for big fights; with every one sitting at the table and having a say, coming to agreement on the big fights takes more work. all of these guys need to fight eachother. there is no king of any division until they all fight. Your right there, but there is clearly one guy whos opposition has lagged behind so far. Joshua has fought quite a few young undefeated fighters who have either had titles or done well since. Hes fought a clearly still in shape good ex champion in a classic. To say hes proved nothing, when your best opponent was Trout and you didnt exactly destroy him is highly hypocritical.

Cool, you have fun paying for all these new Showtime PPV's. Likely hosting a party for Wilder-Fury (unless I'm heading to a party), and will be at a bar for the possible Spence PPV; have no real interest in Pacquiao-Broner, but will head to the bar and spend my $20 if my brothers want to see it. Will pay my Showtime fee, will likely watch most of the cards on FOX/FS1, will watch some of the ESPN cards, and will follow the DAZN shows on Boxing Scene. lol

Anthony Duckua has had hand picked fighters aka cherry picked. Duckus (LOL) beat an old has-been washed up 40 year old fighter in Klitschko - Tyson Fury already schooled him and don't forget he was unbeaten for 10 + years. I couldn’t careless who or what network puts A fighter on a run of fights, as long as he is active and his fights are broadcast. we were told no one worth of note would ever go with an “App” just a few weeks ago, now we have the two biggest fighters in the world on that platform, we have the undisputed cruiserweight on that platform and how long is it been now? Two months? so whether it’s 50,000 people that watches them or 1million as long as they make two or three times their payday then no one should give a toss especially the “Fans”. If fans think staying inactive, fighting mediocre competition once a year on showtime is great for us because 1m people see it then great for them. I couldn’t give a toss about those numbers. Would I like to see Broner fight 2/3 times this year ? Yep, would I like to see Spence fight 3/4 times a year? Yep, but we are all different.
