Whyte confirms Vlad is making a comeback and that his team were in negotiations with Vlad but Vlad wanted a tune up before facing Whyte. Now reports are surfacing that Vlad is no longer with his old manager and is due to sign DAZN as a global abmasodor.
Thoughts on his comback?
Edit: Here's the source since you guys won't take my word!
DEVELOPING: Wladimir Klitschko has held talks with DAZN on a three-fight deal that would end his retirement https://t.co/hbLpeHthSz
I'd be stunned if AJ and his team didn't go into the fight with the game plan of making it a deep fight...wrestling on the inside, jab or uppercut to body on the inside, lots of holding and clinching early on...all of that helps wear down energy/stamina
That would be a good plan against Wladimir at this stage because he's old and he doesn't like fighting on the inside.
You're right. A lie is much worse than being misled.
Not a single word from Vlad's own mouth.
Actually, he tweeted saying he wasn’t coming out of retirement.
Why? He was seen as on the decline when he faced Jennings and that was what four or five years ago? Of course he has the itch to fight as he has been fighting his entire life and enjoys the spotlight. But no need to come back and get brutally stopped by one of the these top guys.
Are people going to have a orgasm over this IF it does happen? Wasn't everybody calling him boring when he was active and in his prime? I always respected the Klitschko's personally but it is funny to see people wanting Wlad back vs Whyte or in a rematch with AJ now because he is rumored to sign with DAZN :lol1:
Not that literacy was ever a thing around here but you are aware that "global ambassador" and "professional boxer" are two different occupations, right?
Getting a job with DAZN doesn't mean he's necessarily fighting again.
He still beats everyone but Joshua and Fury
Who knows. He's now 42 and been out of the ring a while. He will have definitely declined even more and won't ever get back what he had, actually the opposite.
I think people need to be realistic.
He still beats everyone but Joshua and Fury
I think he could beat Joshua but he might have to do it in the first 6 to 8 rounds of the fight. Klitschko's old age stamina has become more and more of an issue as he's aged. Even when he was younger he liked to fight at a measured pace but now that he's older that might be his biggest issue.
Should definitely stay retired. His name is just going to be used by others like Whyte.
Totally agree, and worst he might get KTFO by the likes of Whyte, Ortiz and heck even Chisora.
wlad is going to be 43 in march.
why do these guys keep doing this chit, i dont want to see old fighters anymore.
Remember when Lennox was considered "old"? he was only 37 when he fought vitali in his last fight.
43 is like how old foreman was when he was in his comeback fighting holyfield. And he was considered absolutely ancient.
Yeah i don't get that, why would Wlad lie about not coming back. If he was coming back then am sure he would say it.
Not to mention, say what you will about Wlad (I hated him for the boring style he adapted) but he’s always handled himself with integrity and has always been honest. He’s not someone I would call deceptive or a liar.
Apparently because Wlad is a liar and Whyte is trustworthy according to OP
