Gonna see spiderman 2 today
It's a tough sport, but you cant give them mitts and have a fight; they need their safety. You can look at abdusalomov for example, that is with padding.
People have no sense of humour.
The title of the thread is a spoof of if xyz was abc he would be rated crazy as hell.
As he IS European, there is no difference hence is what he is.
Maidana KO
you guys need to stop being so knee jerk. You guys overrated Porter after beating feather fisted fighters, now Brook is unbeatable.
Maidana landed plenty of shots on Mayweather, when El Chino lands a looping one it is game over for Brook especially after being stabbed in one leg, he will be going down quicker and for less than Sergio Martinez.
You guys picking Khan are in dream land. No offense but i think the hype has gotten to you. Who has Khan beat to make you think that he can compete with any top guy.
Broner with all his flaws still has the the hand speed and skill that will demolish khan. Shoot khan almost got KO'd by a nobody in his last fight.
What has broner shown?
Unconvincing and not tested against higher quality opponents, was poor vs Malignaggi and we know what happened vs Maidana.
Khan did seemingly better against them to.
Wow at this thread...
Boxing may be a great sport, but it has the worst fans.
I really don't rate pics of people getting Ko'd and made fan out of, he was out cold and could have been serious.
but it WASNT , knowing that he's ok... we dont have the guilt to not rub it in each others faces, same thing with hatton same thing with clottey same thing with khan and same with pac, its just pointless fun nothing more..
we respect the crap out of these guys to do what they do, which is why were always here talking about them,
I've never seen a face first KO like that, but I'm presuming the Flow-Mos are the main architects of all these memes.
One punch and everyone overacts:
Phillipinos- "OMG, MAnny changed religion that's why
Flowm*s- "How this b*t*h ass even mention Mayweathers name
Marquez-ites- "It's justice
Fake :watch 2 events per year fans- He has totally peaked, he hasnt won in like forever.
He walked into that punch, moral of the story is focus and allow Freddie Roach and Ariza giving more interviews than Joe Hart
I know Khan is saying he has shown massive improvment etc but I didnt see anything new. He looked exceptional at this level though.
Molina was a lightweight, who wasnt even a puncher at that. Against these types of guys Khan will look amazing and dominate. Like he did against Malignaggi.
Was way too quick for Judah and dominated Maidana, who had what 2 rounds over him.
Lol the guy he fought was way too shook and nervous, was just there to collect his paycheck.
The guy has what 25 KO's, yet he still fighting bums. They need to up his competition quick time, Khan has around the same number of fights already fought maidana, malignaggi, judah and barrera.
You might have a point when the fighters you mentioned get knocked down 3 times in a round and continue or when they get their jaw broken in 2 places and continue.
Dude, you must be a loyal fan or something, the way he quit Maidana was a joke. Not getting up from the stool after a round unless it is serious is a joke.
Loads of people mentioning Margarito, I see where you are coming from, he has taken a few beatings. Also takes a lot of heart and guts and cheat the way he did vs Cotto on a grand scale.
Vitali showed a lot of heart, some guy has him in his signature, the guys eye was busted but was gutted when the referee stopped the fight.
Floyd and Ward not being to show that they have guts is due to their skill, do you want to them to let other people hit them in the face to prove it?
Floyd has a lot of courage, I could never turn down $40m dollars fight even if it was vs a prime Pacman
when Rahman fought Wladimir he was way past his prime, so that doesnt count in my opinion. Maskaev was actually a really good boxer who just happened to have Rahman's number.
so - Rahman was for real, he is a 2 time world champion and everybody who ever sparred him said he is the hardest hitter they ever faced in the ring.
btw he fought Tua to a draw once and the first time he got knocked out but he was leading on the scorecards.
Rahman was a heavy hitter, Maskaev was a good boxer but his chin wasnt the greatest you'd thought one hit and lights.
I guess he was more power than technique
Some guys are willing to die in the ring and some are not. I got no problem with any fighter realizing he is beat and throwing in the towel. However I do have the highest respect for a fighter who is willing to risk everything in order to win. Ortiz has proved he has heart and he has also proved he has common sense.
Too many fighters to mention but I will mention Jeff Lacey. Took a couple of very bad beatings and never quit and his career was shortened as a result of it.
Jury is still out on Ortiz, specially after Maidana some may even argue his last fight
the hell, of course he deserves a rematch... a KO loss aint the end of the world, its happened plenty of times (i.e. Graziano vs Zale I, and II...KO in the 6th round, coincidently)
He deserves a rematch, barring one round pacman was in control and was looking good to win it. He got a bit careless in the last round swinging amateurishly, guess he was tired of SD and MD decision.
After this fight, there has been a sudden influx of Mexican posters, either that or the Mexican flag is their DP.
Benavidez and Gomez are tipped as ones for the future.
Benavidez got momentarily rocked by a journeyman, so it will be interesting to see him vs the better fighters.
Gomez is still fighting amateur style, ATM creating more headlines as a sparring partner as opposed to a boxer.
Boxing fans and posters here in general are way too knee-jerk. The guy walked into a punch, I'd still reckon he would beat Mayweather and JMM in a rematch.
Impressive record, arguably lost to Provodnikov, and definitely against Pacquiao, headbutts aside he has been impressive.
Allegedly ducked Khan to preserve his record but has fought better fighters than him. Completely outshone Marquez, almost embarrassing
Froch is such a douche, I think he will but hopefully Groves beats him down.
If this was wrestling, it would be the most perfect moment to pass the torch. Just like the Rock beat Cena and let him beat him the 2nd time.
amir obviously
With that in mind, Ortiz may have been dropped by Garcia with the same shot that knocked Khan down, but maybe cause of mexi-puero rican rivalry going on, Ortiz may have been defiant and weathered the storm. Whilst as Khan he may have the heart but the chin is giving signals to the ref.
Will be remembered for being Ko'd in 20 seconds Tua, and losing to an old foreman just shat on his whole career.
Generally, when he stepped up he didn't deliver barring Evander Holyfield.
I'll guess he will the same fate as Vanes Maritsoynan
Decent record but when he steps up to semi-world class level, he will lose.
It is commonplace nowadays to be 25-0 before you fight anyone of note, seems decent but will rate him when he steps up.
Corrie Sander was a strange one lost to Rahman and a few others but havent seen anyone rock the Klit brothers like he did. Rip
Lewis
Vitali
Wladimir
Holyfield
Byrd
Haye
Rahman
Brewster
Ibragimov/Chagaev
