Porter is a far better and more skilled version of Maidana. He doesn't hit as hard, but he's got more boxing ability. I don't see Maidana giving Brook a better fight than Porter did. I think Maidana is a lot smarter and more controlled than Porter.

I got Brook beating my Maidana but it could go either way. I don't know why some posters think Maidana is some bum. He can fight and his style is awkward for most fighters. They bring up the Devon fight, but that was before he went to Garcia who improved his skills tremendously. Maidana has a jab now, amongst other tools. It's kind of like Pac being sort of one dimensional before switching to Roach (not as good of course). Brook beats him if he can deal with the awkward style and keep his composure, but like I said it could go either way. And I think Maidana whoops Porter. That's an easy fight for him with Porter's aggressive style. And Maidana also whoops Devon if they ever rematch. Maidana has improved, can we say the same about Devon? Brook split decision. Iirc Josesito Lopez hurt Maidana and had him in trouble, there was a late turnaround in that fight. Just like most of Chino's opponents. His style makes it tough for him to dominate because he gets hit so easily.

Porter is too small for the best guys at WW . Porter is huge at WW, he's probably the biggest WW. Guy apparently walks around at 175 atm and according to Rashad Holloway used to walk around 185+

That's absurd. Porter is all aggression with little boxing abilities. He put up a joke of a performance against Brook and showed no ability to adapt. Chino utilizes a jab to push his opponents to the ropes, and has shown to do a much better job of setting up punches with the jab. He has far better variety in his punches and the awkward angles he provides makes him a much more difficult opponent. His movement is also better than Porter and on top of that he has a much better trainer at his disposal. I honestly see this is as a toss up fight with Maidana having a slight edge due to his power and more proven track record. Disagree with pretty much all of that amigo. For starters, Porter is better than he showed against Brook. Porter has a better jab, footwork, sets up his shots better etc, he didn't show it against Brook but he has shown in the past. Maidana is one of the most overrated fighters in boxing and definitely the most overrated at 147. Like someone on here said before, his best wins are losses. He loses whenever he fights a top opponent.

Maidana KO you guys need to stop being so knee jerk. You guys overrated Porter after beating feather fisted fighters, now Brook is unbeatable. Maidana landed plenty of shots on Mayweather, when El Chino lands a looping one it is game over for Brook especially after being stabbed in one leg, he will be going down quicker and for less than Sergio Martinez. Brook is bigger than Floyd with more power and good skills , Maidana wont charge like a wildman against a bigger man , that windmilling might look like its doing stuff but its not going to win unless your lucky to get a bomb to land which is hard when he is smothering not only Floyd but himself as well , I wouldnt be surprised to see Brook stop him , but Maidana has definitely improved greatly since Broner .

I agree with this. Boxing fans are so ****ing fickle its not even funny. Brook has done nothing in th long term. Porter did nothin long term. Maidana has done it long term and improved while at it.
