Provodnikov fight could have gone either way, Alexander was officially undefeated but he got a gift against Kotelnik.
Tim Bradley forces me to believe that everything he has accomplished and the position that he is in right now is due to fate.
This is a guy who isn't really special in any way whatsoever, his boxing skills are very basic and conventional, he is not a hard hitter, he is not a real speedy fighter, he is not a slickster, and he is only average on his feet. Perhaps Bradley prooves that you can make it in the sport of boxing with just athletic ability on its own, because make no mistake Bradley is built like a tank and his athletic prowess speaks for itself. But as far as his way of fighting he is just average. But his resume tells you that he is NOT an average fighter.
Timothy Bradley is just destined to be where he is at. A good person too so it is deserved.
The funniest was Burner's scoring for that fight. Had it 10-2 on fight night for Alexander on fight night and 7-5 Kotelnik the next day.
that was fucking great :lol1:
he tried to go with the better known fighter
when he saw everyone here with a brain said otherwise, he changed up
one of the classic about faces in recent memory
hell, even Coach Webb had shame enough to admit Kotelnik won :lol1:
That was fuking hilarious :lol1:
I would bump the thread but he has me on ignore.
Pac and JMM were draws IMO, with most feeling he outright lost to Pac, but still impressive that he can fight such close fights with ATG's.
Campbell was not a win, it was a NC. There were more Bradley headbutts in that fight than actual punches. They took it to court and everything, Campbell won the case.
Casamayor was old, shot and not a top fighter.
Vazquez is a good win but nobody mentions it for Canelo, who beat a less green version of him.
I would substitute Casa and Campbell for Edner Cherry, that was a good win and Cherry hasn't lost ever since losing to Bradley(2008).

Give it a shot...
You might have learned how to score properly in the years since that fight took place.
Well I will admit that I only watched the fight once live but I will make an exception and watch it again and see what happens. I think I remember it correctly but everyone has an off day.
Oh ok, so if I watch it again today, I will suddenly score it differently?

Should the judges also be allowed to rewatch a fight the next day on tape and score it differently?
PLEASE try and defend Lederman scoring that fight 10-2 for Alexander. PLEASE. I could use the entertainment.
I'm not defending it but if four more qualified sources say Devon won, not even including me, what does that tell you? (Boxing Goat understanding the point is moot this whole time)
Judges and Lederman and me but you're right.
Sorry bout that. :lol1::lol1::lol1:

And Lederman. That's one of the worst nights he's had. 10-2 Alexander, just because he was throwing.

Yeah...Boxrec supports you but try actually watching them and seeing what actuall happened.
I just doubt that.
I actually did watch the fight live and like almost everyone else thought it was a robbery.
No one saw a convincing win for Alexander. Nobody. Other than the terrible scorecards.

Bradley did beat Manny technically but there were several rounds that were one sidedly in Pacs favor. That was absolutely not the case in the Alexander Kotelnik fight. Just because he did better than expected with some fast-well times jabs doesn't mean he took the title from the champion. It's not rocket science. Alexander was never buzzed or phazed at all and had landed harder shots. The cloe rounds went to Alexander on the cards and in my opinion. It's simple sh*t.
What the hell. What the hell.
At least watch a couple rounds of the fight and get it right that it was the right hand Kotelnik was blasting Alexander with while whooping his ass, rather than jabs.
Alexander landed the harder shots.
He was a world titlist who Amir Khan virtually shut out to take the belt from.
Alexander's team handpicked him because they thought they could do a better job than Khan did and knock him out. Those were Kevin Cunningham's words.
Didn't quite work out that way. He sh1t the bed. Max Kellerman talked about how Alexander was supposed to be the next P4P King after Mayweather.
Mayweather ended up posing for photos with Kotelnik after the fight :lol1:
Its called styles making fights. Alexander still won, even if there were close rounds. Jab, jab jab............
But the "records" show that as a TKO so I'm guessing in your mind Froch "knocked him out"
Boxrec says that so...
Froch did knock him out, technically speaking. Are you having reading comprehension problems there? It's still fact. Nobody calls it a Froch loss do they?
Hand picked? He was a world titlist.
Oh and winning 8-4 was "****ting the bed"? Or did you mean perceivably so?
