A talent like Gennady with the kind of power that he has, could win a title at HW without a doubt. BUT I do think the height/reach of guys like Wilder would pose a problem until Gennady manages to get inside.
he couldn't even KO canelo. How the hell can he beat someone like Ortiz or whyte?
A warrior would rather go down fighting than sit in his tin throne hiding.
And the same fans that praised him will turn back to insult him for fighting when tactically not ready.
That's the kind world we are in.
no, the type of world we are in is where people think Fury needs SEVEN tune up fights, because if someone doesn't have a 0 in their record, they're a bum.
Fury actually need tune ups with at least top 20 fighters to test his readiness not journeymen he couldn't KO.
We all have different definitions of bum.
We have to appreciate the kind of chins the Klitschko's had.
Lewis upper cut to vitali and AJ's uppercut to wlad and non went down.
These are uppercuts that can knock you out cold.
The Fury Faithful may have won the battle, but the war is not over.
The Bronze Bomber will return like a phoenix from the ashes.
Your champ is terrified. That ***** is done.
This girl. She lost a fight and claimed the winner had loaded gloves. The commission checked the gloves and everything and she was clean, they did it live on air lol.

Is she wilders sister?
Nope, not impressed. That isn't to say he sucks, but he does not make a good heavyweight. He just doesn't have the power to keep the big guys honest. Could you imagine him vs Tyson Fury? Fury could box his ears off all night long or just bully him far, far worse than Chisora did. He needs to put weight on stat, but then his frame isn't that big (narrow shoulders/small back).
That new 'super cruiserweight' division or whatever seems like a gift sent from the heavens for Usyk, as I don't think he can beat Fury (both Tyson AND Hughie), AJ, Whyte, Povetkin, Dubois, Ruiz, Wilder (can probably outbox but ultimately gets caught) and quite a few others. I think Hunter beats him at HW and we'll wait and see what Gassiev is like at HW, who I always thought would make a better HW than Usyk as he has power and is improving as he is young.
I said before the fight that if Usyk can't style on Chisora then he won't make it at HW and I stand by that. If he gets bullied by Chisora, who to be fair was in amazing shape, then he gets bullied by a myriad of other HW's.
revelated our bet was a waste of time - I can't honestly say who won. I thought 7-5 Usyk and two judges thought the same, but you could easily make the case for a draw, EASILY. Maybe my eyes need checking because the commentators seemed to be watching another fight, I thought Chisora took the first 4 rounds no question. Depends on how you score aggression vs effective striking. In any case if Chisora won you couldn't call it a robbery.
I thought CHISORA was up by 4th round with 4-0. At worst 3-1.
He won round 9 clearly. Some other rounds like 12 was even, can go either way.
In general I think uysk won 7-5 but I can't argue if IRS scored a draw.
Great fight. I believe CHISORA would have win clearly If he had a better engine. He was chasing all around the ring. He gassed after 5 rounds.
I guess his game plan was to go for the KO within 5 rounds.
What the fcck are you guys saying? Someone was bleeding from every opening in his body and you think brelend didn't do the right thing?
Many folks here wanted wilder to leave the ring a vegetable.
No one wanting to fight you is the definition of being a boogeyman...so he doesn't have the accolades obviously. I'm not sure if you are too dense to understand that.
It is much different from for example Golovkin, who claimed to be a boogeyman but was getting called out by 154, 160, and 168lber's left and right. Even a 147lb fighter moved up to fight him...a lot of people wanted a piece of him. He ducked the dangerous opponents and cherry picked the easier ones.
On the other hand, you don't see anyone calling Luis Ortiz name in the heavyweight division. Only ones to step up and fight him were Jennings and Wilder. Joshua was willing, I'll give him that, but Ortiz chose to get a rematch with Wilder on with PBC. None of these other top guys/contenders will fight him.
Lol..... Don't be ridiculous and naive at the same time. That ***** has done nothing in the HW division, all he did was fight Jennings, wilder and bums all through.
Called out by AJ with high career pay, he ducked, called out by whyte to come head a ppv event in UK but he ducked and chose to fight as an undercard in pbc event.
He has solid good fighters under his stable, guys like kowanski, martins, Ruiz, arreloa, breazeale but somehow he manages to not fight any of them. I will give it to him, he is one of the best duckers in the division.
Hez nothing but a pbc undercard tool/puppet prepared for wilder.
When he was with matchroom, all those guys you mentioned ducked him and didn’t want to fight him. Wilder was the only one willing, so he agreed to sign with PBC in order to get the Wilder fight.
He later turned down the Joshua fight on short notice to get the Wilder rematch, which he got. Haymon took care of him money wise. As for his legacy, not much you can do when no one wants to fight you and claims you are too old...as if fighting an “old” guy would be a problem if you felt you could actually win.
One of the very few legitimate boogeymen in the sport.
Lol....... Legitimate bogeymen? Who did he fight that gave him such accolade's? Am eager to know.
Hez loss to Ruiz derailed him being #1 in the division but a win against fury will have him at strong #1 without any argument.
At the moment, I will have him #2 because of the loss to Ruiz, otherwise he has a better resume than fury.
I just wonder why Eddie Hearn and Dillian Whyte were so obsessed with avoiding Ortiz if he wasn’t any good.
Here, beat this guy and we will give you the title shot you say you want. “NOOOOOO!!!!!!!”
Actually, it was fairly apparent why Whyte wanted no part of the Cuban Missile and is beyond obvious now.
If you feel avoided, you and your team should make an offer. No body owes him any shhhit.
The only reason Ortiz is been talked about is because he is a southpaw lined up for wilder to feed on.
I'll tell you why.
Wilder had zero good wins, Ortiz comes along and he seems at least "decent" so they jumped on it and hyped him up as a killer and the #2 in the division.
They made out he was better than he was to boost wilders resume.
This is the only valid explanation.
Toyed with him by saying ‘here’s a fight, you win and you get a title shot’?
That’s the kind of ‘toyed with’ every fighter dreams of getting, lol.
The hilarious thing is AJ is sitting there with belts and Hearn is over Dillian’s career using Whyte as a human shield saying ‘if you want a shot at AJ you have to beat this guy’ ... but he wouldn’t give Dillian a shot at AJ. And Whyte totally bought into it.
If you were a boxer that has fought a final eliminator and was denied by a corrupt body. Will you fight another eliminator with a guy that just got KOed BT the guy you are going for? Be practical, don't be an o-yes fan.
Right. Foreman vs Briggs comes to mind also. Lyle vs Foreman too for that matter. With enough time I’m sure there’s hundreds of options.
Am still surprised till date how foreman's hand was not raised after the fight. He clearly won that fight.
We’re talking different time frames here.
No.
It was ordered after he got KOed.
No one does that, not even me. I won't honor such fraudulent eliminator.
Whyte was offered a title eliminator against Ortiz and noped out of there with speed no one knew he had.
Do you have any boxing idea? Fight an eliminator with someone that just got KOed. Are you kidding me?
WBC had no excuse to toy with whyte that way.
