A few here may remember I strongly backed Lopez over Loma and had £300 on it a 3-1. I'm putting £200 on War Chisora at 5-1 (covering with the draw to break even) Chisora will win this. Usyk will not be able to adapt quickly enough to the intense physical pressure Chisora is going to bring.
This is just how I see it. Regardless of how others may see it when you factor everything in, styles, Usyk's lack of HW fights, an opponent coming to win and believing he will. Bigger stronger man and a harder puncher. All the skill is with Usyk. But there's more to a fight than skill.
I have to admit I'm curious to see what happens if Chisora backs Usyk into a corner and starts wailing on him. Expecting Usyk to weather the early storm but anything is possible in the heavyweight division.
I'll be back on here regardless of the outcome after the fight. I don't see the fight being anything like Lopez vs Loma, my thinking behind it is that I think Chisora is as good as ever now. Fighting very aggressively and using his body strength. He has good/really power and can go at a pace for 12 rounds. The Dilian Whyte fights showed this.
I saw a couple of times in Usyk's HW debut, that he didn't like what was coming back, and let's be honest, there wasn't a whole load coming back, but when Wheterspoon landed, I felt that Usyk really felt the power by his reactions. Chisora is levels above Whetherspoon. People say Chisora loses every time he steps up, that's not looking at things from a fair perspective. He beat Takam as the underdog, Malik Scott (not great I know, but I think he was underdog too) Everyone knows he beat Helenius by a mile and got robbed, and 90% of people had him beating or drawing with Whyte in the first fight (I had 115-113 Chisora) and he was leading in the rematch.
He has a great chin. Usyk ain't stopping him. I'd bet my house on that. Haye and Whyte caught him with massive single shots. Usyk does not have that in his locker. He was pulled out against Fury as it was just a pummeling. But Usyk, ain't Fury. Fury is elite. Usyk is world-class.
Usyk has much more skill than Chisora, and if he had more HW experience, I may see this differently, but it's the wrong man at the wrong time. I'm convinced that Chisora is going to be much stronger, a harder hitter and more durable than Usyk even imagines. If I'm wrong, I'll hold my hands up, admit it, and come back here to take a bit of stick. But this isn't just a random prediction. I have reasons for believing Chisora will win.
Nope
Chisora is a sluggish bum Usyk stops him within 8.
I wouldn't call Chisora a bum, but Usyk in 8 is a good call. I wouldn't be surprised if it's even quicker. Usyk in 5-6. If Chisora bum rushes him, could end up getting caught himself early doors.
Yes, I'll take the bet. Someone did this with the Lopez vs Loma fight with me too, and I won that, despite 95% of people siding with Loma. I always look at form, styles, mentality, variables. I win a lot from boxing betting, so I'm hopeful for another win here.
Lol, dude you won one of the biggest upsets in recent times.
It's not often you get the right fight made. If Usyk is for real at HW then he beats Chisora. If he's not, Chisora is exactly the type of fighter to show it. Fair play to Usyk for taking this fight - it's a live one and just about the best fighter you could reasonably expect him to face at this point.
I'm excited about this one. There's a part of me that doubts Usyk's power and durability at HW. If that's the case then I think Chisora finishes him inside 5 rounds.
Going to be really interesting to see how it unfolds.
I don't think Chisora's likely to win, I think Usyk is too sharp to get caught with one of Chisora's huge punches. That said, if he wants to be taken seriously as a real threat to the top dogs then he can't struggle, he has to dominate or stop him. Personally, I'm not sure if that's likely either.
The undercard will start at 7pm UK time which is 12:00 noon in Cali. The main event in the UK usually comes on around 10 - 11pm which is why I said 3 - 4pm Cali time but to be on the safe side, the event starts at 12pm (Cali) so you can catch the undercard and not miss the main event.
Sounds good, thanks
Thanks, thought it was gonna be like at 11am or something.

Chisora couldn't catch Gashi or Kabayel, he can't fight movers and Usyk is the best mover of them all. He lights Chisora up all night IMO and forces a stoppage, I'm not falling for Haye or Chisoras bluster, they are all about convincing us to buy the PPV.
That said, I agree that if the Usyk that fought Witherspoon shows up then an upset could be on the cards. Usyk needs to show how good we all think he could be at heavyweight.
Chisora can’t win really - he either beats up a smaller bloke or he loses and is a bum.
So much disrespect for him on here, when he fights anyone, travels to fight unlike some, gives it his all and has been in some great battles with too heavyweights. Good luck to him, I hope he gets by Usyk and grabs another big fight.
That said, if Usyk’s power holds at heavyweight then you’ve got to fancy him to stop Derek mid-late rounds. Mind you, the Usyk that beat Witherspoon gets run over.
Great fight.
I think after Loma's loss people are expecting another upset but the dynamic is completely different here. People didn't know much about Teo's boxing ability and skills, there were still questions about his ability/level. We knew he was good but didn't know how good until Commey and then he proved his ability and IQ against Loma. Teo also had height and reach advantages over Loma which Del Boy doesn't have over Usyk.
While we were still trying to figure out Teo before the Commey and Loma fights, we already know everything about Chisora, we know what he's about and we know exactly what he brings. We've seen him struggle and lose against lesser movers than Usyk in the past, Kabayel being the most notable. He has size and power and at heavyweight that can be a significant enough factor to win but that's all he has. Not counting him out at all and I still give him a shot but I'm expecting Usyk to outbox him for a comfortable but relatively competitive (in parts) decision win.
People are looking at the Loma loss and expecting lightning to strike twice just because an 'upset' happened a few weeks ago without taking into account styles, skills, physical attributes etc etc......
We also know that Chisora has been in lots of hard fights and taken a lot of damage.Teofimo was fresh and hadn't taken much if any damage. Also Teo was pretty much the same speed as Loma but a lot bigger. Chisora has some size and maybe some reach advantage (not sure if he has a reach advantage but his arms look pretty long) but he doesn't have the legs, speed or height. I still give Chisora a decent chance because he's strong and tough and has a lot of experience. Usyk would be the safer pick though.
