He acted to the best of his abilities as a cornerman by stopping the fight when his fighter could no longer defend himself, taking too much damage, or if they cannot win the fight. It is his duty above all others to watch out for Wilder and he did which is why we all have nothing but repent for his aide and saving Wilder. I would hope that you can see that in the best interest of Wilder and apart of breland a job it was the best thing to occur.

Every fighter worth his salt wants to go out on his shield. Every trainer worth his salt knows they have a moral obligation to throw the towel at some point. Wilder's trainer wasn't doing his job; Deontay's legs were gone and he didn't have room to punch. He was unable to hurt Fury in any way and was taking a lot of damage. Breland did the right thing. Wilder is a ****ing clown and I hope Charles Martin or whoever KOs him in his comeback.

Professionally I think he was wrong to override the head trainer, but personally I think he was right to be worried about the dudes life and wanted to preserve his health. For a guy to be in boxing for that long, and knowing Wilder that well, I believe he made an informed decision. It's just a boxing match at the end of the day, everyone gets paid and gets to go home.
