he becomes mandatory but everyone knows Fury would destroy a 41 year old Povetkin
would you really want to see that fight...I love Pov, but don't think he can do anything to Fury?
This. I honestly have no idea why they have to do a rematch for a mandatory position. It should be Povetkin already
You don't prepare contracts for fighters, you would have no idea.
I didn`t say that.
Yes, I believe Fury beats everybody. So I don`t really care if he fights Wilder, Joshua or Povetkin next.
Better for everybody. He should just give himself the undisputed and retire.
What's the essence of fighting when you already beat everybody in your mind.
Yes, Wilder`s fans now say Povetkin doesn`t deserve a shot. Amazing.
But Arreola, Duhaupas, Szpilka deserved it.
Oy, Szpilka totally stepped in for Wawrzyk (doping) at short notice! (By way of a Twitter post, hahaha). He does deserve a bit of respect for that.
Deserves, yes. Has an actual shot at winning - I doubt it. Simply too much wear and tear. It would be an interesting fight while it would last, though.
Povetkin is a dangerous fight for anyone in the division. Saying he doesn’t deserve a shot at (fill in the blank with your favorite fighter) is disingenuous, when what you really mean is “that’s a risk I don’t want to see my favorite fighter take”.

In other words guys like areola, spilka, dauhapas and co beat A level opponent's to get a shot at the belt.
Well said boxing expert.
Hmm never heard of them.

Do two wins over former British champion Dillian Whyte equal a shot at the Lineal champion? I would say no. On top of that, Tyson Fury would be a terrible stylistic matchup for Sasha Povetkin. Povetkin vs. Oleksandr Usyk could be a good one.
Usyk has bigger fish to fry if he beats Chisora. Povetkin brings nothing to the table, Usyk wants Joshua fight or vacant WBO title fight.

Fury boys believe fury beat everybody, hence no need to fight them. Let him fight guys like kabayel.

I have no problem with the winner fighting Fury. Fury beats both of them.

No why would he? He was done a long time ago and im beating a fellow c level heavyweight doesn't mean he deserves a shot at the true HW champion. There's levels to this sh**

Povetkin is comparatively short but his skill level is high and his chin probably holds up to anything Fury is likely to land. Povetkin could surprise in that fight. I think with the right odds it might be worth a bet even.
of course he does. He deserves it now really, it's just that a-side whyte gets another crack at the mandatory because Hearn has lots of money. I'd wager Whyte wins the rematch, but if Povetkin wins and gets Fury it will be a good payday for him. Seeing what Hughie was able to do to Povetkin however means that the T.Fury fight would be a complete washout (in which case let's hope Whyte gets the win, I would actually really like to see Whyte/Fury)
