Oh you're right, those aren't crunches. That's the movement he's gonna try to use to pull himself back up into the ring when he gets knocked straight the fuck out of it.
. But man fuck Rafael until he fights at a real weight. It's like damn I could go to a high school and beat the shit out of little freshman all day and I wouldn't expect anybody to call me great. JMM is just a big bitch who struggled for a while with a guy named Terdsak.
This coming from a Diego Corrales fan? ;)
The way he's been behaving lately, he'll be lucky to remain a top ten welterweight in the next few years. He's flawed enough at 100%, with his chin and poor balance as a liability, but now he's not even focusing on his training.
Chuck was a really colorful guy, tough as hell, and probably had a lot of people cheering him on vs. Ali. I remember a story where he and ali were building up the fight on a talk show or late night show and during a commercial break Ali whispers in his ear "Call me a ****** Chuck!" He wanted him to say it to build the fight but Chuck wanted no part of it for obvious reasons. It would have sold the fight but would have really destroyed Chuck's image. I'm glad he didn't fall for it, but shame on Ali for trying to use race controversy to sell a fight.
I'd rather see both men fight Americans until it is just the two of them left. Sergei should fight the winner of Maskaev/Rahman and take that belt. Wladimir should either go after the winner of Peter/Toney or just take Valuev's belt like candy from a baby.
Terrible, terrible crunches by Rahman and that guy in the background. Why do I still see boxers doing shitty 2" crunches? These guys are putting their lives and healths on the line and need their abs to be as strong as possible. What he is doing is akin to pench pressing but bringing the bar only 3-4 inches down, rather than all the way to the chest. Just terrible.
Rahman at least has the correct posture and maybe his trainer's having him do some isolation crunches after a set of normal full range ones (the aren't shown on the video). I can buy that, but c'mon there're no excuses for that kid in the back. What trainer lets their fighter do crunches like that? He's clearly holding onto his head, tucking his chin, and pulling with his hand. He's cheating. Bad form any way you spell it.
Tyson was definitely a smaller sized heavyweight. Frame wise he was no bigger than Marciano or Frazier. He had a lot of natural musculature, like Jeff Lacy, but his skeletal structure was small for a heavyweight.
Where is that pic of Tyson with his arm around Eubank and looking smaller and perhaps even lighter than the natural super middleweight? Clearly he had to have been heavier than Eubank but his relatively small frame has him looking like a sub-heavyweight in that photograph.
Still a 6'+ heavyweight like Louis, Norton, Dempsey, or Ali who worked down to 190-210 pounds as Eubank worked to 168 would have dwarved Eubank. Tyson had the musculature but his skeleton was of a small heavyweight/large cruiserweight.
Thanks for the pic BTW. How cool would it be to just hang around with either of those guys?
I don't care what his credentials are. Watch that kid in the white shirt in the background and then tell me that's good form for crunches. No way in hell. The guy may be a great boxing trainer, but those crunches suck. Both the kid in the back and Rahman need to lower themselves down more to get a full range of motion.
Baldomir is too big, strong, and durable for a past his prime Gatti. He will wear him down and pick up the last rounds of the fight, giving him a close decision.
1. Social status/fame
2. Wealth
3. Personality
4. Looks
That's the order of attraction for most women. No girls wants a boyfriend who looks as good as she does. It's all about the money, fame, and personality.
Looks are a distant fourth.
Rich and famous guys will always get the hottest women. You can have Brad Pitt looks and a great build but if you're just some boring smuck who works construction making $10-15 an hour, you're not gonna pull gorgeous women for anything more than maybe one night stands.
Beautiful women want to live and be seen with rich and famous guys. Almost all of them think like this. Psychologically, women are very different than men. We just want hot girls who are fun to be around. Money and fame isn't that important for us. BUT, and this is important to understand, it's completely the other way around for most women.
For the record I do think Tyson would be the favorite against Marciano, though I wouldn't bet on him with Marciano's punch and heart and Tyson's lack of confidence in himself when things got ugly.
Still, if you put a gun to my head I would admit that statistically Tyson has quite a few advantages over the Rock.
I'll go with my boy Peter for precisely the reasons Anorak stated and one additional one. Toney will be even older when this fight happens, and at his age it's only a matter of time before the poor diet and obesity catches up to him. I wish it weren't so, and it's depressing to think about, but time claims us all, especially those who let themselves go physically as Toney has. There's still a chance to clean up and turn back the clock slightly, but does he have the discipline to do it?
Here's a question, would the ref allow Miranda to continue if he had been in the same condition, or would he quickly halt the fight and give Abraham the win? Think about that one.
We've already gone over this. The red didn't cheat, you're just a fucking moron who's never seen the fight. Fuck off, eat a dick, and stop spamming this forum with your shitty threads.
I would be very surprised if Duddy KO's Yori Boy or even puts him down for that matter. I saw him fight in Boston against Julio Jean (7-6-1) who had been stopped twice previously, and I don't recall him ever having Jean in serious trouble despite landing some good punches on him. I think Duddy's power is a bit overrated and Yori has a first rate chin. Duddy is a good combination puncher though.
