Merchant and Lampley postfight comments OUTRAGEOUS!!

i personally think american boxers are currently as big of underachievers as the american soccer team. lampley needs to get his shit straight. What a stupid thing to say, years of dominance in so many divisions along with having so many fighters at the top of the p4p list, cut the bullshit.

Merchant was great with his first question to Vernon, basically telling him how does he feel about getting a BS decision in a fight he lost. lmao. And Lampley has no more credibility. He aired his own ass out in Hopkins/Taylor I and II and in Taylor/Wright. He's a biased POS who calls things that are not happening.

I don't blame either commentators including Stewart who also beleived that Ike won the fight. He stated that he needed to go home and digest the fight. It gets sickening when the judges screw a fighter the way they did Ike last night. Forrest was running pretty much the same way he did against mayo in their 2nd fight. I feel Ike won the fight plus the point that was deducted from forrest, that alone should've solidified Ike's victory

All right, I know the Forrest-Quartey result tonight was a bit bizarre, but even more bizarre to me was the ridiculous comments from Merchant and Lampley. Merchant is in the ring talking about how two African fighters can't both win on the same card, how they aren't as talented and well-schooled but are such hardworkers. Is Merchant a fucking African fighter sympathizer or something? We know that Ouma and Quartey are good fighters, but what was up with that shit? I expected some piano to be playing in the background while Larry tried to persuade me to adopt an African child. Lampley dissed U.S. soccer twice, the first time it was hilarious, the second time it was hate-filled. Larry said that since Ghana beat the U.S., maybe Quartey would take Forrest out. Lampley quickly adds, "but the U.S. is world-class in boxing", which I thought was hilarious because our soccer team sucks BALLS (even though we were the only team that played Italy, the champions, and didn't lose to them). The second comment about how maybe the judges picking Forrest over Quartey was a way to get back at Ghana for beating the U.S was just insane. Maybe these guys are just getting old, but they were off the mark tonight. While I'm at it, Harold Lederman's scorecard for the Forrest-Quartey fight was god awful. He'd give Quartey a couple rounds that Forrest won and make up for it by giving Forrest a round that Quartey won. HBO sucked ass tonight. Here's the problem 1) Barrera - ducking Pacquiao since 2003 2) Morales - makes too many excuses when he loses 3) JM Marquez - ducking Pacquiao since 2004 to fight nobodies 4) Castillo - if I need an explanation, you MUST be a biased Mexican 5) Margarito - best win is against Cintron when he could be fighting Clottey, Ouma, Harris, Collazo, etc. as you can see, none of these guys have done anything lately to earn my respect. a couple of them can never win my respect back. Like they even know you exist,lol. I always go to the local boxing events because when both guys are on about the same level with something to prove, they go fucking nuts on each other like it sounds like the Marquez brothers did. What do you think Ike was trying to do? Forrest was not just moving away, he was practically running away for half of each round. So unless you want Ike to pull out some Dali-esk moves and extend his arms to punch him across the ring it wasn't happening. Forrest was not willing to engage, and hardly willing to box. Also, Merchant and Lampley didn't do anything crazy. They're paid to talk, without scripts, for a couple of hours. They've gotta' say something so it's not dead air and they usually don't have time to think about what they're about to say. They assumed they were being funny.... first time seeing a fight live, im very much influenced by the crowd. the crowd was extremely "anti-forrest" and very "pro-quartey." Everytime quartey landed a punch the crowd erupted. Everytime forrest landed a punch there were small cheers from a group of people in the front I understand where you're coming from. My first live fight was Tyson vs. Danny Williams in 2004, and that fight was just crazy for me. I called it the heavyweight fight of the year at the time, which may or may not have been true. I mean the only other fights people listed up there with it were Byrd-Golota (which was a great fight) and Vitali-Sanders (which was a joke).
