Oleg comments on 'Last Line'! Tuesday, August 1 2006 "Whoever wins is going to be American!" By Karl Freitag Heavyweight contender Oleg Maskaev said today that he is "extremely ready" for his August 12 pay-per-view title challenge against WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman. "I will put up a good fight and the best will win," he promised. Maskaev, who was born in Kazakhstan, also stated that he takes exception to the billing of this fight as "America's Last Line of Defense." Maskaev, a naturalized U.S. citizen, stated "whoever wins is going to be American.....I'm a proud Russian-American. I'm a citizen of the United States." Oleg also added this his youngest daughter was born in America. "I'm very happy to be here and this is part of the American dream."

This is a good point made by Maskaev, who is as American as Rahman in terms of legality. I am in complete agreement. Maskaev chose to be an American citizen and deserves our respect and solidarity. Unless you are a Native American, all of us who are American citizens are decended from someone who was an immigrant. Maskaev has made his choice where his loyalty lies; and to point out his heritage and use it in this way is only slightly less racist than the Amercan concentration camps for people of Japanese and Chinese decent at the beginnin of and throughout the duration of WWII. Whoever wins this fight.....IT WILL BE AN AMERICAN.

The US and Canada's fish are highly coveted by countries in Asia. The Malaysians and other countries depleted the shit out of our salmon by setting up illegal like 15 mile long nets off the coast of US and Canadian waters. That's why you get so much more of that shitty farm raised salmon now adays.

Actually food in English speaking countries is underrated I think. I'm talking about steaks, leg of lamb, beef in general. English speaking countries like the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, may have the best beef entrees and among the best lamb.

It used to be really crap but now people go out and eat more they won't accept the sh*t they used to. In my experience of travelling round the US, food was pretty poor unless you wanted all you can eat grills, so I'm not sure how British food is that vulnerable to attack. Guys, if you want good food, go to France, South Italy, Thailand, Mumbai, Eastern Europe....pretty much anywhere where English isn't the first language!
