just get the fight made already. a question for the nuthuggers, why would any of you on here be against stricter testing, put all this mayweather pacquiao stuff to one side for a second and ask yourself what bad things could come from better testing? it might sound a stupid question but ive seen people on here saying there shouldnt be ost in boxing. i think it should be done for all fights and it could only be benificial to the sport. or is their something the people who are against know that i dont.
Im realy surprised by chisora. For a boxing novice of 17 fights the last couple of rounds hes been the bully, chasing vit around the ring. Win or lose respect to derek
I gtta say, wlad is far better than vitali. Vits arsenal consists of nothing but jab straight right, occasional left hook and a rare right lead. On another note chisora is doing better than expected seing as he has only 17 pro fights
Bryd gets overlooked unfortunatly, but he had superb boxing skills thats for sure, imagine if he was a few inches bigger, whoooooo he'd be a nightmare for anyone, past or present.
I'll probably be crucified on here for this because people think it makes you look like a hardcore boxing fan if you say a great fighter from a past era is better than a great from this era.
But fact is that alot of people say hopkins best wins were against smaller guys guys moving, and if thats the case what does that make Hagler, i mean really he beat some very good middleweights but his legacy is based solely on fights with guys from lower divisions.
Hearns: good win, ill give him that.
Duran: won a clear but close decision against someone fighting 3 (4 if you include jmw) weight classes above his best.
Leonard: Whether you think he won or lost, Hagler had a close fight with a welterweight that had 1 fight in 5 years.
The rest are good wins but nothing special, his resume isnt all that.
Bernard Hopkins
Good work larry, thats one.
Now that guy only has to find two more, good luck.
Theres maybe one more i can think of, but its a long shot.
If he had fought these guys at high points in thier careers and no catch weights. You could say amazing.
Aside from the fact he avoided a lot of champions and fought guys who style fits him well.
Why remacth barerra and morales that many times when there were other champions at that weight.class.
Why fight Diaz the worse champion of the 135 division
Why fight Oscar instead of the Welter champs or at least a top ten Welter.
Why avoid Mosley until two poor performances, why then fight Mosley when Marquez was available and Berto was a champion and available.
Why the need to bring Cotto down 2 lbs
Ill give him the Hatton win even though he was mentally ruined. And a great style match come forward, brawler.
Did we seriously watch two boxers fight at a catchweight for a title neither of them were qualified for. Why not fight a legit 154 champion.
Why fight Clottey coming off a loss to Cotto when once again Berto and other champions were there.
The answer is all this happened and didnt happen because of Arum. Dude is a genius
You could pick apart any great fighters resume like you just did, in all honesty when it comes to boxing im more a fan of floyd than manny, but you cant deny what pac has done in his career is incredible.
And if pacs resume is that bad name me 3 world level active fighters with better resumes.... ill look forward to your reply:wave:
Oh and when you give me these fighters names i will pick their resume's apart to show you how easy it is.
It's harsh because you think it's harsh. Without an absolute standard on what's morally right and wrong, everything is relative. If one thinks homosexuality is okay because "they love each other" then there is absolutely no reason why they should be against incest.
Even if its an over the top comparison...... this guy makes a good point.
With Marquez impeccable timing Bradley will definitely have to vary his rhythm and attack throughout the fight as any repetition in movement/punches or anything else will be picked up and punished quickly by Marquez.
Not a fan of either guy but Khan crushes Broner with ease, Broners flat feet and lack of output would be a cake walk for the faster, harder hitting, better conditioned and more skilled Khan
wow, i hope he recovers from it, i dont want to sound mean but from the times ive been to the usa i rarely see them wearing full leathers let alone a spine protector, more than likely he was a squid with a helmet and nothing else for protection, the shame here is wearing the proper protective clothing probably would have left him with bumps and bruises, a couple weeks of taking it easy then back to action. Such a shame.
Out of the top fighters (Pacquiao, Martinez, Marquez, Suckoyd Punchweather, Cotto, Nonito Donaire, etc) who do you think you'd have the most chances of beating (even if you don't)?
I think I would hold my own pretty good against Floyd, probably hurt him a couple of times and maybe Nonito due to the weight disparity. I could probably knock out nonito the **** out with the right training. I know for a fact I would get knocked flat and possibly killed by Packy, I wouldnt even joke about being in a ring with him. You??
What are you doing on boxingscene then, surely you should have a few world titles instead. Your a really stupid poster.
I kinda agree with the TS, as far as the eye test goes rigo is definitely one of the best technical fighters I have ever seen, I don't imagine he will get beat by anyone anytime soon.
No1 asks for links when Floyd is bashed on here 24/7 ya'll dont delete sh1t..But it's an issue when its about Manny can't believe even Mods are biased.I don't wanna see any boxer go broke but if it was about Floyd the 1,200 people who viewed this thread wouldve made this 20 pages by now.this is a real issue in boxing and its not funny when it happens to anyone yet it seems people take joy in Floyds life issues but try to cover up Mannysdon't know what ya'lss issue is but its disgusting,No1's trials and tribulations is a joking matter..no 1's
Good post, this must be a different larry to one i used to see post retarded stuff on here about 6 months back, now you seem to be one of the few posters in here that talks sense, respect larry.
Just finished watching for a second time, i must say the commentary on both HBO and the UK broadcast were a joke, when i first watched it (for enjoyment without scoring it) i thought pac won clearly, on a second viewing my scorecard reads as this:
1. Bradley
2. Bradley
3. Pac
4. Pac
5. Bradley
6. Pac
7. Pac
8. Pac
9. Pac
10. Bradley
11. Bradley
12. Bradley
Total 114/114 a draw.
In most of the rounds Bradley won the first 2 and a half mins then pac would flurry and that does not win rounds, anyone who cries robbery show me your scorecard and break it down rd by rd. I think people are more shocked that a pac fight was scored somewhat fairly and expected Bradley to never win via the judges.
It was no robbery.

11.Benny Leonard
12.Mickey Walker
13.Ray Leonard
14.Pernell Whitaker
15.Joe Gans
16.Joe Louis
17.Gene Tunney
18.Roy Jones Jr
19.Alexis Arguello
