To be honest, it is to the point where you just have to find who would be the most challenging to either fighter, because resume wise..nobody that they haven't beaten deserve a fight
Mayweather - I see GGG causing Mayweather huge problems, purely because of his size. Mayweather at 37 is not entitled to take such a fight, though it would be very big on his resume. I honestly think people under-appreciate the Canelo win..that was a huge win at his age.
Pacquiao - Thurman/GGG pose the biggest problems for Pacquiao. I do not see Thurman causing the same problems for Mayweather that he would pose to Pacquiao based on his style. Thurmans ability to counterpunch on the move is one of the best I've ever seen. That on top of his willingless to engage, power, and youth..I think he takes Pacquiao out in 10. GGG of course because of the size different, but like mayweather, he does not need to take this fight. The Bradley 2 win was a HUGE IMO and also under-appreciated.
They just need to fight each other and stop giving us sparring matches.
Thurman is sitting back hoping a big fight comes his way....he needs to go find a big fight and take a big risk like all the ATGs did....Haymon is producing well paid but spoiled fighters.....the perfect fight for Thurman to get that buzz he's looking for is......
Lara..another fighter who cant get good fights.
yeah. lets make sure Floyd gets whatever he wants in life.
by the way, do you want to see the fight happens?
Its not about giving Floyd what he wants, its about being rational and business minded about it.
#s wise...Floyd stomps on Pacquiao in every aspect but he cant lowball him because Pacquiao will bring more $ than any other opponent he could fight.
70/30 is extremely fair.
There are far more interesting matches at 154-160 him......
If anyone thought a Chino thought fought on 2 PPV's and gave Mayweather 2 of his toughest fights would campaign on regular tv vs lowly fighters like Thurman, Porter and Brook then they were mistaken. He has tasted that PPV money he's waiting in the wings for a Cotto or Canelo match, he'll sit on the sidelines until that becomes available
bingo.....he made more in those 2 fights than his last 15 fights combined.....with change. After the first fight, his stock rose like crazy and didn't decline after 2nd fight due to him buckling Floyd even tho he got schooled, everyone acknowledged that Mayweather acknowledged Maidana was a beast who he had to box because the first fight proved Maidana was too much of an animal to fight toe to toe.
No, he is a proven warrior who woke up and realized boxing's a business and more importantly, his worth as the 3rd biggest draw in the sport. He has been through the path of fighting "the best" and as a past prime, SMART warrior...he focuses more on securing finances for his family rather than please fans who will turn on him as soon as he loses.
can op name and list notable wins for corrales and donaire?
OK, I will post notable wins to their fights prior to their losses
Corrales- Manfredy, Garcia
Donaire- Montiel, Darchinyan
why is everyone saying Chaves over De La Hoya? He had real trouble with De La Hoya and I dont see Chaves as giving him real trouble...just a massive amount of pressure.,..but if you look, he was VERY well under control and that shoulder roll worked perfectly against the short Chaves
Grab, clinch, grab, clinch, rinse and repeat. I wanted to see a boxing match, not a glorified grab fest. It was ridiculous.

I was going to **** on either side that lost because i know their fanboys would not give the other side credit
Arum does what's best for Arum. In-house fights make Arum the most money because he takes a share of the entire pot not just a share of 25% of the pot, he also has the winner on his books. Pacquiao is going to get fed to Crawford after fighting a couple of weaker opposition. That will help Crawford become a name and make Arum more money in the long run.
Well put....and to be honest from a business standpoint I dont blame him. Why would I make your fighter a star when I can make mine a star? There's nothing wrong with that thinking at this point of Pacquiao's career because EVERY TOP FIGHTER AT 140-147 bout to be after Pacquiao like http://data1.whicdn.com/images/50404702/original.gif
I agree with this more.
Way to talented to be compared to Duncan. More like Kobe, who is also a finesse player.
Me personally I would say more so Jordan because Jordan was the greatest throughout his career even later, while Kobe has been overshadowed by a few players. Mayweather and Roy are both talented but I would put Mayweather's talents higher...Id say Roy Jones is like a Kobe...a special talent whose talents faded later. Mayweather IS the Jordan of boxing.
what a joke fight. i was fooled into thinking this would be great but it was a complete dud and almost everyone everywhere are talking about how much of a joke boxing is now (which it is at this point). fight of the century?? more like joke of the century! i was seriously not going to watch it because of the frickin blood draining job against manny (over 13 times are you serious!?!?!?!!?!).
floyd ran like a fraud as usual even though i kept hearing about how he would walk down pac and get a KO and him being stronger??? hahahahaha what a joke. manny still looked fresh after the fight because floyd's 1-2 pitty pat pot shotting couldn't do anything to him.
and sad to say manny looks way past it or all that blood draining really got to him. he was so inactive and almost lethargic at times. it was bad. a prime pacquiao would never have been that inactive. but at least he made some effort here and there while floyd frickin ran around throwing and landing measly pot shots for 12 rounds.
in the end floyd didn't beat a PRIME pacquiao. that drama diva has yet to beat a certified future hof'er in their prime. on top of that he gets little love from his hometown and majority of people. floyd is a champ, but manny is the PEOPLE'S CHAMP! the boo's for floyd says it all.
Goddamn, wt is wrong with some people. Floyd was running? He was standing right there...he only move when Pacquiao was trying to attack...oh wait "he wasn't standing there so pac could hit him" as Pacquiao said. LMAO
all wrong..
1- In the game, Pacquiao threw more punches in round 1 than he threw in the whole fight in real life
2- What about the million right hands he ate?
3- What about the legal body blows he was playing to the ref about?
4- What about the million check hooks that bounced off his ear?
Isnt the most talented? Isnt most athletic?
Are you high? He's by far the most talented/athletic fighter in the sport....at 38 he's moving better than 28 year olds....
You do remember he's 38 right? Did Roy move like that at 38?
