For one, read the name, I aint biased...so *******s and Fraudites please stay away...now
With all things considered..opponent, how "prime" the opponent is, the level the opponent is at, the opponent's past wins, significance to weight division, odds to win, expectations of the fight, performance, and opponent's "neutralization"....Rigondeaux's win is better.
Donaire-Rigondeaux to real boxing fans was a 50/50 fight beforehand...you could NOT pick a winner. Donaire was top 5 p4p in many people's eyes at the time and was steamrolling the divison against GREAT FIGHTERS with such skill, he was expected to reach HOF level....seriously, Donaire had VERY few doubters. Another very important aspect was the fact that Rigondeaux was expected to "run" which is why even his haters knew this could be the key to his victory...so this was a true 50/50 fight...BUT THEN
Beginning at Round 1....Rigondeaux stood there and threw with Donaire with ABSOLUTELY NO FOOT MOVEMENT. and OH MY GOD this round was one of the greatest skill showcases in boxing history. Everything he did this round was perfect...and HE COMPLETELY NEUTRALIZED DONAIRE FROM THIS ROUND ON....
Round 2-11...Perfection....you will rarely see a great fighter in his prime with no excuses great dominated by a greater fighter in this manner. No catchweight, no "he was too small/too big" or any of that...each fighter were at their absolute best....if anything, his SIZE WAS ANOTHER MENTION OF PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT HE WOULD WIN
ROUND 12...BOOM....GOT DONAIRES EYE AND HAD DONAIRE ON THE BACKFOOT WHILE LANDING PICTURE PERFECT POWER SHOTS. AMAZING.
Like I said with all things given, this was greater than both of those wins. Mayweather didn't do the unexpected and sit there and trade with Corrales while ****ing him up which is probably the only thing that makes this win greater but it is key because it shows you that Rigondeaux went for greatness and not just a win
Mayweather gets the edge for me because he won every round up to a stoppage win. As for Rigo he was put down against Nonito on his way to a decision win. They're both great wins though.
IThinkThey'reComparableTho
At first I thought this was just another biased post against Mayweather but then I read the name and realized I was wrong.
I think they were comparable.
Love both fights. Both great displays of boxing skill, but Mayweather's utter ruthlessness is clear, while Rigondeaux played with Donaire like a mouse in its paws.
Nonito wasn't about to go to jail after the fight either
There goes Cotto's decent performance against Floyd lol
Both wins are comparable although I'd say Donaire had accomplished more than Corrales before these fights.
They're comparable. But im going with the mayweather win. At some rounds in donaire-rigondeaux fight, only a punch separates them, i mean, one punch landed from donaire the round couldve been his. If only one punch separates them every round, thats not domination at all. I get it, he made donaire look like shet and made him miss a hundred shots, but offensively, given rigondeaux skills and the opportunities donaire has given him in his mistakes, i believe he couldve done more. He couldve knocked him out of there. Floyd over corrales win was a greater win because floyd really grabbed his destiny for greatness and KOed corrales. I didn't hear boos in there unlike rigondeaux win. Nobody wouldve called him boring after he koed donaire but he didnt take it. Still a fukin good win doe.
ehh, no

Rigo schooled donaire but floyd battered Chico. Rigo didn't do that till the 12 round. Floyd had a much better offensive performance
I think Corrales has the better wins, Casamayor, Freitas, Castillo, Manfredy, Robert Garcia. I'm a fan of Nonito and will still root for him, but resume wise i think Corrales edges him out.

OK, I will post notable wins to their fights prior to their losses
Corrales- Manfredy, Garcia
Donaire- Montiel, Darchinyan
ok.... what were the bolded's notable wins? Helps the credibility of the competition*

Floyd's best win is Canelo due to age, size disadvantage, and how dominant he was. Nelo was 22yrs old, 165lbs, and got walked down by a 150lb Granpa.
I feel that the win is Floyd's best win and that a 165lb Canelo would destroy a 135lb Genero, Diego, whoever else Floyd beat at the lower weights. Floyd's ww fights are his toughest due to size, age etc.
I think Ortiz, Ghost, Mosley would all batter df outta Genero easily. And I think Canelo was a much more dangerous fight than Nonito. Nonito was more proven but he was only a little bit younger than RiGod and only a little bit bigger.
Agree.
Corrales weighed 130 lbs at almost 6ft tall in that fight he was a walking zombie. that's not normal
And that's why he was the 130 champ 3 years later right. One hell of a zombie
You could not pick a winner?
Really?
I picked Rigo from the start and up until the fight and felt very good about it.
This is why I said equal. Both donaire and corrales were favored (donaire much moreso than Corrales) but I picked rigo and Floyd to win when the fights were announced.
It's close. They're both very good wins but I'd lean toward the Corrales win. He was very dangerous at the time and undefeated. Many of the experts were split for the fight but it ended up being a blowout. No one expected Mayweather to stop him either.
Agree.

Yep. So "not normal" and such a "walking zombie" in fact, that he continued to fight at the weight.
Mayweather was the underdog against Corrales while Rigondeaux vs Donaire was a 50-50 fight. Corrales was undefeated while Donaire was not. I think Donaire had more media hype than Corrales so it is seen as a bigger win. But I have to say in actuality Floyd's utter destruction of Corrales was a better win against a bigger and stronger man.
I think Corrales has the better wins, Casamayor, Freitas, Castillo, Manfredy, Robert Garcia. I'm a fan of Nonito and will still root for him, but resume wise i think Corrales edges him out.
