Pac had a shoulder injury, and it got aggravated on round 3, hence he wasn't throwing that much.
That shoulder injury played a big factor in the fight. Just stating the obvious.
Belt your BS up your ass , Manny is a lying fake that got shut down .
It was like Pacquiao had no Plan B.

Why are people crapping on Mike for giving a fair and honest opinion. It was an anticlimax and it was boring. Whats he supposed to say? That it was a tear up?
Tyson has made himself look like a complete fool in this build up and I have no idea why.
I do. I have much respect for Tyson but it is clear that he is like a big kid in certain respects. He used to be the one hated but now there is a new kid on the block. On some level he probably thinks the hatred will stay if he hates on Mayweather.
I like Manny, but I blame the lack of drama and excitement in this fight solely on him.
We all knew that Floyd was going to box and avoid unnecessary trading, just like he always does.
Manny did not, and maybe could not, do anything to pressure Floyd and make it interesting. That's really the story here.
No reason whatsoever for a rematch. The result would not be different.
umm would you guys be happier if a fighter left on a stretcher? maybe died? then would u be entertained? im sorry but it was up to manny to make the fight "entertaining" i for one was on the edge of my seat but thats just me i dont need all out brawls to be entertained i dont need fighters going to the hospital afterward to feel i got my moneys worth. floyd was floyd and manny like everyone else was unable to change that be mad at manny not floyd
Why would it be up to Manny? He wasn't the one totally dominating the fight. Floyd can knockout out dudes he is dominating, I have seen him do it plenty of times. Why not this time?

Man I can kinda agree with Mike. After realizing that Manny had nothing and he was in total control I'm disappointed Floyd didn't start to walk Manny down like he was beginning to against Ortiz before Vic blew his load. If he had done that he could have got a late knockout. remember this was a guy in total control. Shoot Manny is so small Mayweather must've thought he was back at 130 pounds, LOL. He should have Gattied his ass.
And just because Mike laid an egg against Lewis doesn't mean he can't hold an opinion on this fight.
Why are people comparing this to lennox-tyson... Tyson was completely shot for that fight...
Floyd/manny was a battle between two top p4p guys.... Tyson/spinks is a more comparable fight in terms of hype
I do because, Tyson vs Lewis could've happened years before it did but Tyson wanted to fight "Bruth Theldon" and paid to sidestep Lewis. By the time we did get it, it was built up like crazy (stage fights and security guards) and was a huge let down.
Glass houses and stones, Mike. Glass houses and stones.
This is the guy that robbed the fans money against Holyfield and laid an egg against Lewis.
Took the words outta my mouth. this is coming from the guy that paid Lewis a five figure sum NOT to fight him, then served up a jobber's performance years later after a big, crazy build up.
Before fight: "I'm gonna eat his heart! I'm gonna eat his children!"
After fight: "If you don't think I love Lewis like a brother, you're crazy. You're crazy"
He's right.
Floyd's greatest genius isn't in the ring.
Its being able to sell his fights despite having such a good awful boring style, especially for the casual fan.
exactly
there have been other fighters with such a style but they were eventually pressured into changing it up to get any attention or make any money
floyd at some point figured out that acting ridiculous and flaunting his wealth and associating with music people was a much healthier way to get ratings than brawling
hes a great boxer, a great great boxer, tons of talent, but man i hope its a long time before we see another fighter than boring at the top of the sport

I didn't think it was that awful but it's a damn tidal wave of negativity everywhere I look. Maybe it doesn't matter much either way but it's sad to see boxing getting trashed like this.
I still enjoy watching Holyfield fights after 18 years, it was full of drama and both men came to fight. Holyfield 2 was the best fight to watch in 1990s!
im not saying those were bad fights. my point was just that holyfield shut mike down, just like floyd shut pacman down. the fight was still good because of how masterful they did it. how smart they fought. i mean if people want to see dumb brawlers knock each other silly they should just watch ufc. its never a good thing to see guys hit each other on the chin clean, getting bloodied up and all that. thats an obvious sign that both guys are making mistakes, both guys are risking too much, or maybe one just being so much better than the other.
either way its not good. theres nothing great about it. there was nothing great about foreman gassing vs ali. he could have won, he probably should have won, but he made a huge mistake. there was nothing great about ali getting clipped/knocked down by frazier. he got too ****y, he made a mistae. it makes for exciting fights but as far as boxing its not "better" than watching holyfield dismantle tyson, than watching floyd dismantle pacman. so thats how i look at it. tyson needs to shut his mouth. he couldnt do anything to make his holyfield fights exciting because holyfield avoided him and fought extremely smart (and maybe dirty). floyd fought extremely smart, theres nothing pacman could have done except for risking everything, opening up and then getting knocked out. that i guess would have been "exciting" for tyson but that doesnt make a good fight. he never understood or appreciated the art of defensive fighting because he doesnt relate to it

Ali - Frazier
Tyson - Spinks
, however different fights, amazing events that you talked about months later.
And then we got
Mayweather - Pacquiao
complete borefest, that you'll forget as as soon as it ended.
