Honestly I don't know, I give him the benefit of the doubt and vote innocent in the way that he didn't do it on purpose
What does this Clenbuterol do to your body? As I understand it isn't a real steroid but something that is given for ashtma and that may increase weight loss
Does it make sense if he did took that drug in that period?
This has been an amazing year rich of great matchups and entertainment, and the best has yet to come with GGG/Canelo and Loma/Rigo
we had careers ended, close fights best vs best, circus fight, we had everything
He got hit more than he should have, by a garbage boxer, and didn't look like someone who was ever a top P4P boxer.
He was a shadow of his former self.
camon man Floyd wasn't playing as himself that night....at least in the first rounds he took it easy and was just walking forward with his guard up.
He could have fought with his safety first boring style and win a UD as usual without a scratch on his face
Conor was garbage
Why do people have such a hard time coming to terms with this? "He could have". Come on. If there's ANYONE in boxing who plays to his strengths, it's Floyd. It wasn't about being boring or not. He let Connor expend some energy in the first 3 (which is not up for debate because Floyd even said it himself) and then came on strong. But, the style he used was crude and not anything like the aggressive Mayweather we've seen in the past (apparently no one remembers his battering Gatti).
Classic Floyd, or even the one from 3 years ago, would have put a shellacking on Connor w/o having to lunge and put himself off-balance and cross-footed. The guy is 40 and came off a 2 year retirement. It only makes sense that he would, and did, look like a faded version of his former self. I'm not down with this fanbody bullshyt where we have to pretend that he is immortal and will always be #1 P4P no matter how old he gets. You can like a fighter without having to pretend he's superman.
Nope
Floyd could'have fought exactly like he did vs Berto and win a UD or late stoppage.
He fought that way on purpose, not because he can't fight anymore.
It's not that when you turn 40 you unlearn what you've done your entire life.
I agree that Floyd fought like garbage, but he even said that before and after the fight. He fought that sloppy way on purpose, just for the sake of the show. He knew Conor wasn't a treat so carried him a couple round before switching to second gear and kick his azz.
He used a style against Conor that he never used in his entire career, and he did that on purpose.
You have to remember he is 35 years old. Once you hit 30 your body slowsly starts to decline. But even that, GGG won the fight.
I'm pretty sure Canelo has a good chance to win the next time because GGG will be even older and Canelo will try to drag the time as much as he can before the rematch.
As all of you know from my posting history, I have never liked Canelo. I still don't. He's a pampered ginger who have been fighting too small guys all along and who I think deserved to draw (or even lose) against Lara and Trout. I hoped Golovkin would embarass him, but honestly, I couldn't even justify the decision to the friends I was watching the match with. Canelo was toying with Golovkin, dancing around and uppercutting him at will. They were in completely different leagues regarding skills and all the uppercuts appeared to make Golovkin timid... TBH, Golovkin was exposed as being a guy who can give a punch and take a punch, but not adapt at all. Canelo had so many more dimensions to his game. Golovkin just plodded forward, ate uppercuts and missed with 80% of his punches... I was like "now something's gonna happen!" everytime Golovkin finally landed a clean punch, but his power neither seemed to scare nor hurt Canelo. In a rematch, I even think Canelo will stop Golovkin... What do you think?
If Canelo fights like tonight in the rematch, he loses again.
His good moments were when he was fighting in the center of the ring trowing combo and counterpunching.
BUT, for some reason he chose instead to back off. And for the same reason that could happen again, making it easy for Golovkin who likes to chase people around the ropes.
The fight was close. To me GGG has done a little more to ensure victory in terms of constant action even though he didn't load his punches as usual because he had constantly to be aware of quick and strong coutners.
Problem for the rematch: GGG has shown a decline in his last years and he is not the same fighter that was 3 years ago. His body shows signs of aging. Canelo will try to postpone the rematch as long as he can and at that point GGG will be even older. For this reason I'm favouring Canelo to win in the rematch, as long as he choses the right strategy and stay in the center of the ring.
As judging a boxing match is inheritely subjective to a high degree, women should stay miles away from judging boxing match. they see the world through emotions and lack of objecting reasoning and logical thinking.
I think it should be a more objective way to judge boxing match, even using technology if that help. The scoring system is too subjective and approximative.
Or we could go back to old school 25 rounds boxing where you have a knockout every time and you clearly have a winner.
Someone please tell me what GGG chin is made of *♂️ pic.twitter.com/0EQ2sKO4Ht— Keenan (@Keen_Mind) September 17, 2017
Un-real.
This is crazy.
He took a bomb right hand right on the button that would have easily knocked people out cold in a khan fashion
He didn't even wobble. He took it like it was nothing, he even made 2 steps forward after taking the shot like he doesn't even care lol.
They both have a outstanding chin
Those shot they landed would have wobbled or dropped many people in that division
Impressing for Golovking who is 35 years old and his body looks a bit worn-out to take clean bombs on the chin and not even wobbling. This guy is a freak of nature. I'm pretty sure in the ex soviet area trainers put the fighters in a lot of effort to condition their bodies to absorb punches. Core training, neck training, and mental stoicism.
He was pretty tired but has always been very good in managing his recovery time by taking deep breath every time he can
Also his thick torso suggests he has a high volumetric rib cage and so the lungs, so he can take good amounts of oxygen into the blood at every breath
In addition, he doesn't waste much energy in defence since he puts his high guard on and and slips punches with minimal movements and this helps saving energy.
To not get hit? obviously
also to get distance, so he can land on GGG
He was winning most of the exchanges in the middle of the ring and managed to back GGG off from time to time with good clean shots.
But then he ran all the time.

Proud to be a boxing fan!
Proud to be a fan?
Wow what achievement
How about stepping into a boxing gym yourself?
Why are you making the assumption that I haven't already stepped into a boxing gym before?
How about you take some logic courses and critical thinking courses?
I just think there is nothing to be proud in being a fan...
If you did it yourself, thats actually a thing that makes sense to be proud of.
Canelo is legit MW, GGG is not to blame if Canelo drained himself like crazy (thanks to his body that allowed it) to make weight at WW and JMW.
Canelo is maybe a lil bit shorter than typical MW, true, but weight classes are made for weight and not height (think at Tyson who was a midget for being a HW). Actually Canelo is way wider than GGG, his body is like a focking tree. At the same weight, what you lack in height you compensate in bones/muscles.
Middleweight division is where Canelo's body belong. Big bones, wide structure, big muscles, low fat.
That being said, this is a 50/50 fight that could go either way. I could equally see both of them winning. Prime for prime I would give Golovkin an edge but at 35 he has slowed down a little bit lately. On the other hand Canelo has improved his technique in the last years and he is at his peak of his career. Can't wait for the fight..and wil the best win.
Genetics: muscle composition. fast twitch fibers. Also neural recruitment plays a role, how rapidly and effectively the motor cortex can stimulate bunches of muscle fibers contemporary, and is from genetic predisposition too. Muscles fibers are activated in bunches from the motor cortex and each bunch have a different activation treshold. If you are trained and predisposed to activate more bunches simultaneously, you have explosiveness and speed.
