We already knew about Golovkin but I think it's safe to say Alvarez is up there with him now especially considering he's been moving up. Some still think that might be a weakness because of how he got hurt when he was very young but your durability definitely increases with maturity.
They both took(sometimes walked through) each other's best shots and it was one of the impressive things about the fight. Too bad the decision ruined it.
For the rematch they will be training for a 12 rounder, I don't see either getting stopped anytime soon, do you.
Apparently blowing out his eye socket and nearly blinding him is a sign of how overrated GGG's power is because he didn't knock him down. Can we get this guy to Vegas to show us how to score a fight?
Funny I don't remember Canelo backing up into the ropes almost every round vs Mayweather and Kirkland. Clearly was "rocked" by them.
Kirkland held him against the ropes most of the time and had him hurt. Did youe even watch the fight dude?
Floyd Mayweather had Canelo cowering against the ropes many times in their fight, unlike in the GGG fight where Canelo CHOSE to go to the ropes to set up traps, in the Mayweather fight he was beaten back until he was against the ropes.
Blowing out Book's eye socket? Errol Spence, a welterweight, blew out his other eye too. So how does that make him such a great monster if a welterweight could do the exact same thing with his jab?
There was a shot landed by Canelo in the later rounds which was very similar to the one that sent Khan to Jupiter which landed flush on GGG's jaw and he barely even flinched at it.
I think it's time to start putting GGG's chin up there as one of the best ever seen in the sport.
Canelo has a great chin also no doubt.
Or maybe it says a lot about how overated GGG's power is considering he failed to drop a welterweight even once

hurt Canelo who was rocked by Mayweather and Kirkland.

Someone please tell me what GGG chin is made of *♂️ pic.twitter.com/0EQ2sKO4Ht— Keenan (@Keen_Mind) September 17, 2017
Un-real.
This is crazy.
He took a bomb right hand right on the button that would have easily knocked people out cold in a khan fashion
He didn't even wobble. He took it like it was nothing, he even made 2 steps forward after taking the shot like he doesn't even care lol.
GGG has an iron body as well. Canelo went to the body with hooks all night and as they said before the fight, he is the number one body puncher today in terms of percentages of punches thrown to the body. All of that is what canelo was supposed to do and it never slowed down GGG, GGG was the fresher of the two in the late rounds and just kept coming.
Canelo also landed a monster overhand right in the early rounds that was similar to what he put out khan with. GGG didnt blink or take a step backwards. He just took it like it was nothing.
They both have a outstanding chin
Those shot they landed would have wobbled or dropped many people in that division
Impressing for Golovking who is 35 years old and his body looks a bit worn-out to take clean bombs on the chin and not even wobbling. This guy is a freak of nature. I'm pretty sure in the ex soviet area trainers put the fighters in a lot of effort to condition their bodies to absorb punches. Core training, neck training, and mental stoicism.
They both have good chins, but it's a combination of that and #1 Canelo moving up in weight and never having huge power to begin with and #2 Golovkin's power being overrated.
Take a look at the titanic over hand right Golovkin ate from Canelo Alvarez right on the Jaw in the 9th around and see what he did after.......move forward immediately to land the Jab.
That looked very painful. But pain is not a factor for this guy. I wonder if we'll ever see him very visibly hurt in a fight. I think he's up there with the Haglers in terms of this criteria.
Canelo has a hell of a chin. But Golovkin is on another level
Canelo acted like Lara for most of the rounds, but Golovkin literally ate everything and marched forward. Scary
