I have Loma as my current p4p number 1.
Not off of his accomplishments so far but the skills he has shown me in the ring.
I wouldn't have Ward in my top 5 but that is no slight on him.
Who has Rigo beaten recently? I still consider him above Ward in a p4p sense.
Holy crap this thread is 800+ pages.
Mayweather was certainly very dirty for the Pacman fight.
My guess is that he would be back on the PEDs now training for McGregor.
Boxing is a dirty game.

Great bet in hindsight. I thought of hopping on the Bellow train but didn't pull the trigger.
Glad I've found this thread. My last great boxing bet was GGG/Canelo betting the draw. I was burned recently when Broner actually performed recently as I had bet against him.
Id watch. Would make for some very interesting matchup.
Prime Pacman would have dominated even more than he did already as he is a short little thing.
Eventually though there would probably be a casualty though as a lanky lightweight got almost decapitated by a short little nugget of a heavyweight.
As a fan of combat sports, can you see yourself watching mix martial arts or pro wrestling and if you watch both, how does it compare to the other combat sport we love, boxing?
I am a fan of both. I've been a life long martial artist and former freestylr wrestling so MMA resonates with me and as a young un I enjoyed the pomp and showmanship of pro wrestling.
Boxing is it's own unique beast though. I love the subtleties of techniques in boxing. I'm not a boxer though. I like to try and incorporate boxing techniques and subtleties into my overall striking.
So I'm big fan of all 3. The fanboy factionism between the 3 amuses me.
Tyson fury will stop deontay.. quote me after the fight
We shall see...I put a little $ on this result as well as Fury mainline.
I like his comeback story.
WAR Fury.
Hopkins doesn't really hold grudges vs most of his foes.
I thought Hopkins outboxed Calzaghe but got jobbed.
Hopkins and Tito Trinidad get along...why would he beef with Calzaghe now that their fighting days are over.
Calzaghe lost his dad, there are more important things than boxing.
Both guys love the sport and made money off each other.
Nice photos, thanks for sharing.
do you think pac is one of the best offensive boxers ever?
I thought this was going to be about statements that Pacquiao made.
Honestly I think Pac is up there. A litte guy who won titles in 8 divisions based off his offence.
In his prime he was an offensive dynamo and the speed was insane.
Now he will probably just potshot Broner to a decision.
I'd lean towards Mayweather assuming his fight wouldn't be against McGregor or another farcial bout.
I'd pick Ward if he came back to fight Kovalev x 3 in Russia with a Russian ref.
Lomachenko is easily the best p4p on that list. He has by far the most skills and is also the smallest.
Lomachenko is an amazing talent. The other guys haven't shown his level yet.
One of the GOAT amateurs and now an amazing pro.
I actually think that version of Hopkins breaks down and stops GGG.
Too accurate, too big, too skilled, too slick for GGG. Even if GGG lands that one massive shot.... Hopkins can take it and continue the boxing lesson he would give GGG.
Tito vs GGG would be an amazing, action packed fight.
Out of curiosity what makes you think GGG has a better chin than Hopkins?
Imo they both have exceptional chins.
I can't see the shots ath Canelo backed GGG off with doing much to Hopkins.
Apparently Morales used to beat Floyd up in sparring. He would give Floyd hell at 130 and would maybe beat him.
JMM does the worst, terrible style match up as Floyd won't exchange and leave himself open for counters.
Floyd beats Barrera.
I can't see Floyd stopping any of them.
Of the 3 Morales would give Floyd the most problems imo and would take it to him.
When they were in the ring, I was slightly surprised by the size difference. It was a bit larger than I was expecting.
Loma was too big and too skilled for Rigo. The way the fight played out made me think that Loma would beat Rigo if they were the same size, however the height advantage was very obvious and I have no doubt Lomachenko was also the stronger guy.
Lomachenko was too skilled for Rigo that night, however he was certainly assisted by his size advantage.
Rigo rehydrated to the 130 pound limit! He is not a natural 130 pounder at all. Lomachenko was humble enough to acknowledge this in his post fight.
''but, but, but.....cotto, doe !''
:lol1:
of all of the quit jobs, so called fight fans have the nerve to mention that fight.
anyways, i wasnt hyped about this fight because i pretty much knew the outcome......and this type of response
'' "I lost, no excuses," Rigondeaux said through a translator.
followed IMMEDIATELY with....
"I injured the top of my left hand in the second round. He's a very technical fighter, he's explosive. I'm gonna come back because that's what I do. The weight was not a factor in this fight. It was the injury to my hand."
''no excuses'' :lol1:
I took it as....no excuses for the 'loss' but blaming the hand for the 'quit'
In a couple of years..... Lomachenko.
He's just that damn good. Given time to size up and acclimatize to the weight I would pick him to win.
If he attempts to hypothetically move up in his next fight it will be too soon and Id pick Crawford.
Loma I would like to see do a lot more in his current division before he moves up 1 weight division, let alone 2.
This is where you see the difference in fans. Rigo fans wanted him to move up and try to do something great. Loma fans don't. :lol1:
I am a Rigo and Loma fan. I celebrated LOma vs Rigo due to the gold medal skill and I never thought id see it.
Ideally though Rigo could have fought Frampton or LSC rather than have to move up 2 divisions.....and we saw the result of that.
Once Loma destroys 130 I’d like to see him move up but not before. Hopefully he doesn’t have Rigos problem of people avoiding him.
Zombienelo looked terrible at the weigh ins. He was certainly very drained and looked feeble.
If he was doping for the fight he would have looked better.
Floyd might have been doping but he's better at covering it up than Canelo.
I thought Zombienelo at the weigh ins vs Floyd was a hilarious sight.
Seeing him in such feeble condition confirmed by Floyd bet.
He was a beast at the weigh ins vs GGG.
Canelo was drained but damn it was an impressive performance by Mayweather.
It was actually imo Mayweather's last great performance. He was in the zone that night against a hungry young lion and put on what I would consider to be a technical masterclass.
Floyd gave Canelo a lesson that night, great stuff by the ATG.
It would be an amazing win for Floyd and add a lot to his legacy if at 40+ he moved up to 160 and beat the most feared guy in the division who is on the verge of breaking Hopkins defence record.
It would probably be the greatest win of his career and silence a lot of the critics who believe Floyd doesn't take risks and has always avoided the toughest challenges such as a prime Pacquiao/Cotto etc.
Moving up at 40+ to take on and defeat the undefeated Kin of Golov...cmon, that would be massive.
Floyd would be the underdog going into that fight and I for one would support him.
Hopkins beat Calzaghe and outboxed him solidly even though it was a wretched fight.
Joe is too hittable. Prime RJJ starches him.
In the leadup to Joe/RJJ... Joe's son ran up to him crying scared as he'd been watching Roy Jones Jr highlights. Joe said something along the lines of... don't worry, he can't fight like that anymore.
Joe was a talent...but Prime RJJ destroys him.
Pretty sure that world record was done on a specific machine in a UFC sports lab that has a sample size of about 3 people.
Don't believe for a second that he punches harder than a heavyweight boxer like AJ, Wilder or even Klitschko - I mean he KO'd a glass-chin Overeem who has like 350 KO losses by now in his career.
That's why I said I'd like to see Joshua hit it.... honestly, Klitschko could potentially throw up the best numbers of the bunch.
Ngannou punches hard no doubt but if Klit, Wilder and AJ all had a crack I can almost guarantee that one (if not all) would post larger figures.
