It's pretty drastic. Manny is more skilled than at his best, but the physical decline is pretty large. Watching the videos of him shadow boxing at his best compared to before the Bradley fight was startling in the difference.
Mayweather, too has declined over the past few years...he was seriously troubled by Maidana
i think pac beating bradley > floyd beating maidana
to be like Pacquaio...a boxer needs to be possess these attributes
Relentless pressure
Ready to die in the ring
Head hunting punching
Tenacity
Iron Chin
Takes Punches to land Punches
Pride
Fighters who are classed as brawlers lack certain defensive skills
Pac didn't have any defensive skills till the 2nd Marquez fight...till then his motto was the same as that of a brawler.."If you hit hard,I'll hit harder"
Seeing Pacquiao performances in his best wins..I'll always consider him a brawler before a boxer-puncher
I was in the crowd, i laughed out loud when manny hit the deck,
I saw it land it was a straight right hand that broke his fkin neck.
Now he barely talks or even walks his legs are that unsteady,
its plain to see even on tv he was shaking worse than Freddie.
HOF yes.
Just don't respect his boxing ability which will never make you 'great' in my eyes.
Just like my earlier posts here..I've also made a little rap for you floyd buttsmoochers
You been the number 1 manny hater for years and years,
But things add up and you've had too many beers,
And all those @nals with Floyd caused too many tears,
So you take you're anger out on manny, well that's how it appears.
We all know that's the guy who Floyd really fears.
Guerrero is not the hardest puncher at 147 but he's not weak either, he would bust up Broner to a decision.
It's obvious from watching him vs Malignaggi and Maidana, that he most likely gets beaten by an top 10 WW. The lower ranked guys like Thurman, Porter, Alexander, and the 4 and 5 guys like Guerrero and Brook all probably kick his ass. Forget about Pac, Bradley and Marquez. Also, Prov, Matthysse and Garcia may put him to sleep. Judah is the next likely fight that makes sense and even that sounds dangerous for Broner.
What do you think of broner/khan?
That bullsh*t knockdown cost Lucas the fight.
I admit I called this one wrong. I'm sorry but I don't give Garcia full respect for this win.
I've never seen a fighter get away with so many low blows in all my life. 6 warnings before a point and countless he got away with!
All that excessive clinching and he low-blowed Lucas too death. He was purposely doing it and purposely hitting Lucas on the thighs.
I'm more disappointed with Lucas than anything. I just can't believe he didn't stop the guy. I'm not convinced this guys better than him in anyway, shape or form.
Interesting angle.
Still think Lucas breaks him in half in the rematch.
Khan vs Garcia 2..needs to happen...
Racist Tomato Khantard

i just hate some of his a-hole fans like you
You little racist cunt. I'm not even Filipino, and I was big upping Khan for helping out on the situation.
The hell is wrong with you?
how am i racist?..if i had called them 'g0ok'..then that would be racist..but i didnt!
How can Floyd duck a man he called personally and challenged? That was the ultimate punk!! All you gotta do is ask that Vegas judge who the punk is and she will tell you it's Manny!!!! Remember Manny was available to fight until the judge gave Floyd permission to fight then all of a sudden the BS excuses? The problem is Manny's fake ass fans believe in him more than he believes in himself. "Manny wants NO PART of Floyd!!!
I see the anti-pacquaio regime..is up and hating
Just what I expected (given that Pac's punch resistance wasn't gone). He fought a bit more cautious than I thought, but looked good nonetheless (like he was supposed to). I wouldn't mind seeing Pac-Provo next. Bradley rematch would be my 2nd option
Not provo... pacquaio will always beat punchers...he should rematch bradley or marquez...in march-april 2014..then hope for a floyd fight in sep 2014
I think Manny is close enough to his former self. Don't forget Rios is a prime fighter coming it at 159lbs, who eats shots from bigger guys and just because Manny couldn't drop him tonight doesn't mean he can no longer pull the trigger.
They had a good approach tonight, offensive minded but not all out and cautious for the potential damage that Bam2x could have inflicted on him. Less risks means a little less excitement in the fight but it allows them to get back into the groove of things as well as get back their confidence after getting KTFO by JMM.
I don't care who he fights next, I hope he chooses to fight soon though, something like March and set up a 3 fight year to make up for his inactivity for this year.
Julius Eater Chavez Jr has been told by Mayweather that he's unsure about the Khan fight and it might just be due to Khan's speed..
Mayweather's closest fight for years was probably against Judah, a guy that could match Floyd for speed. We saw what Khan did to a slightly faded Judah, he destroyed him much more impressively than Mayweather did. Although Mayweather of course did fight the better version of Judah.
Is Khan's speed Floyd's kryptonite and is that why Floyd is showing signs that he might avoid the Khan fight, just like Bradley, Alexander and Marquez did?
When you think about it, is Khan one of the most feared fighters in and around the division - in reality he's been ducked :hail: more than most other fighters out there, and ducked :hail: by top level opponents too. There are people who refuse to accept these truths and offer countless excuses but the facts are the facts people.
Are we about to add Floyd to the list or will he get past the hesitation, man up and fight Khan, regardless of the inherent risks?
I agree bro..you and I are the only khan fans..who know his true potenital..
When they're in the ring and being introduced..this is how its gonna be
"In one corner, the man who revolutionized boxing. The man who's the biggest asz kicker on the planet. The man who is the Face of Boxing. The man who everyone came to see and in the other corner....you got Floyd Mayweather."
I just read every post and nobody mentioned, barrera being medically check out leading into the pacquiao fight. Mentally he wasnt in it that night. There was a queation mark about a plate in barrera's head. He was having problems in his camp. hbo did a segment on it right before the fight started. Thats why it was so one sided
I watched the segement..Barrera had the metal plates inserted 16 fights before the Pacquaio one..so that's no excuse..and Barrera never used it as an excuse after the fight
At the time of the fight Barrera was the one of top 3 pound for pound fighters on the planet..and in the best run of his career.
Before the fight..Barrera was quoted "He reminds me of a young me,he has a fire in him..which I don't think I'll be able to put out"
They still have Thurman and Danny Garcia. They're both two fast rising fighters. Canelo still has marketability left too. He lost to Floyd. That's not as bad as getting destroyed by Maidana.
yeah DSG has potential
