Julius Eater Chavez Jr has been told by Mayweather that he's unsure about the Khan fight and it might just be due to Khan's speed..
Mayweather's closest fight for years was probably against Judah, a guy that could match Floyd for speed. We saw what Khan did to a slightly faded Judah, he destroyed him much more impressively than Mayweather did. Although Mayweather of course did fight the better version of Judah.
Is Khan's speed Floyd's kryptonite and is that why Floyd is showing signs that he might avoid the Khan fight, just like Bradley, Alexander and Marquez did?
When you think about it, is Khan one of the most feared fighters in and around the division - in reality he's been ducked :hail: more than most other fighters out there, and ducked :hail: by top level opponents too. There are people who refuse to accept these truths and offer countless excuses but the facts are the facts people.
Are we about to add Floyd to the list or will he get past the hesitation, man up and fight Khan, regardless of the inherent risks?
I agree bro..you and I are the only khan fans..who know his true potenital..
When they're in the ring and being introduced..this is how its gonna be
"In one corner, the man who revolutionized boxing. The man who's the biggest asz kicker on the planet. The man who is the Face of Boxing. The man who everyone came to see and in the other corner....you got Floyd Mayweather."
Howard Davis Jr had a lot of potential and never won the big one and was just as dissapointing as Khan.
can we start banning delusional TS please? What's this guy smoking?
This is a waste of thread space for real WTF.
Your boys Angel and Danny ducked the Khan rematch because they knew they got lucky the first time. No way I see them hustling Khan again, that was the epitome of a fluke and it was all due to Angel's pre-fight talk. That's the only reason Danny landed those lucky punches - Khan was too fired up to give a f. Your sissy ass danny is getting beat down if he stops running from the rematch.

If Floyd fights Khan it would be his biggest cherry pick to date. Insignificant fight that absolutely has no build up or momentum. Is not like these two guys are in a crash course.
It would be a huge fight in the UK but no where else
It's better than Guerrero and Ortiz combined in terms of saleability and will probably be one of Floyd's more lucrative fights, although the Showtime deal guarantees that. It will certainly be one his most exciting fights.
Sure, it would be better if Khan was in a higher position in terms of consensus rankings, the fact the WBC has him ranked as number 2 isn't really justifiable at this stage. But still, it's as good a time as any for the fight to take place.

Khan hasn't earned the right to be a floyd opponent. there are far better ww who do. Khan's only chip is the money the fight would bing. Once Haymon and schaeffer run the numbers and see this fight wont make nearly what they project, they hopefully will stop talking about this.
The only WW/jr.WW with "far better" credentials than Khan that isn't with TR is Garcia, and he has gone on record saying he doesn't want the fight.
Mayweather doesn't need Khan if he'l have his way, at the end of the day when Amir Khan retired, his resume will have no Bradley and Alexander, he may fight Kell Brook through but among the elite, his best win was against Maidana and a past their prime Barrera and Judah, and had lost to Peterson and Garcia.
We don't know for sure if Mayweather is avoiding Khan for the same reasons Bradley, Alexander and Marquez did. I doubt Mayweather "fears" Khan but he might be hesitant that Khan's speed could cause more problems than a slower fighter. Mayweather is a master tactician with far better all-round skills than Khan. The problem is Khan's speed might still be a problem at this later stage of Mayweather's career. Then again, it might not be a problem, who knows for sure.. But it's a possible reason why Mayweather is showing signs that he might be avoiding this fight.

Mayweather does not fear Khan. Only Khan's most devoted English fans think he fears Khan. Mayweather may fear all the negative reaction from fans and the press if he fights soft touch Khan instead of a more deserving, winning fighter that actually has some chance of beating him.

Who knows for sure if Mayweather sees Khan as too much of a risk? Bradley publicly admitted (very literally) that Khan was too risky, Nacho Beristain (Marquez trainer) said words to that effect, and Alexander always gets another opponent whenever the Khan fight is mentioned (Porter is the third time he has done this, he did it twice at 140).
If people want to ignore the facts that's fine, i'll put it down to their own unwillingness to believe that Khan can cause these sort of insecurities within fighters, but it has happened repeatedly in the past and very publicly in Bradley's case. Khan's style is risky, maybe too risky for even Floyd. Maybe not, who knows..
Khan is the reason the alexander fight didnt go through...we was waitin on khan to take offer. Tht was a fight tht could put devon in position for a floyd fight...we got porter AFTER khan declined...

If Floyd picked any of the dozens of guys who deserve a fight with him far more than Khan does for his May 2014 fight I would be proud of him. Mayweather has no fear of Khan because he is a 100 times better fighter than Khan. Khan just barely beat Diaz who is rated as #38 in the world by Boxrec. Prescott will fight Khan any time any place for any amount of money but Khan does not want that. Alexander was ready to fight Khan but Khan doesn't want that. Brook has called out Khan many times but Khan doesn't want that. Today's Khan is not feared. He is a low risk high reward fighter these days and lots of fighters would love a Khan fight.
