It's pretty clear now, as I've mentioned many times, that Alexander was never in the league of Khan or Mayweather, and never a worthy opponent for either fighter. Alexander has always been a "bum" (going by the terminology of some other posters), now you less-knowledgeable boxing fans know the truth, try to learn from the lessons freely provided.
He couldn't even beat a guy that Khan's last opponent drew with.. Imagine if he had fought Khan tonight, there's almost no doubt that Devon would have either quit like he did against Bradley, been straight knocked out within the 12 rounds or lost a very wide UD to Khan..
The truth will set you free.
Now let's stop all this nonsense about Alexander ever being a legit Khan or Mayweather opponent. It's time for Mayweather vs Khan to happen.
That least we can cross Alexander out of the Mayweather lottery!!
Hes left with even fewer options now, and with SHowtimes pressuring him too tofight Pacquiao, and his next fight probably not gonna sell as well as usual with Amir Khan,
the fight MAY have a 10% chance of happening with Pacquiao lol
Khan beat Diaz who drew with porter, but I thought Diaz won, so khan is miles above in class than Alexander, it's just khan's tactics are wrong sometimes and his chin is iffy, but for ability he's very good, and had he been with roach I would have gave him a hell of a chance against Mayweather.
Alexander a BUM? LOL. and amir khan isn't?
Things change rapidly in 24 hours. Yes, thankfully he didn't fight floyd. we learned a lot about shawn porter tonight. he's a new champion and a great exciting fighter. he made alexander look average. i'd be rooting 4 porter against anyone but pacquiao, but I think porter has some weaknesses. he did have a great gameplan though to dethrone devon tonight.
too me, let's see khan vs alexander. why not? if alexander is a such a bum, shouldn't he (khan) want that fight now more than ever? and if khan loses to alexander, what does that make khan?
nobody and I mean NOBODY should actually want to see khan/mayweather
you're a hater why would you imply Khan is looking for an easy fight while he's trying to negotiate a fight against the best fighter in the world? newsflash Floyd's not gonna fight Pacman or Lara, and Danny Garcia already said he doesn't want the loss on his record so Khan is the best we have right now.
Either guy would had beat up Khan yesterday. Alexander as always showed a good chin and kept trying. Porter's determination and activity won him the fight the same way Bradley won against Devon.
Alexander is no p4p fighter but he is no bum
After seeing that fight I definitely think Porter folds Khan up like a lawn chair. I think Porter certainly beat him more clearly than anyone else has, and that says a lot about Shawn. We have an exciting new welterweight champ. Bring on Porter-Broner
Well done to Porter lastnight :ANYWORD:
Alexander was he usual 'clinchy' self, just horrible to watch. That really should be the 4th loss on his record.

Yes it's safe to say that. I've never been impressed with this guy
never liked Alexander but he is a B level fighter. Not a bum.
Well i used the term "bum" because it seems a lot of people these days (myself excluded) consider anything below A-Level a "bum".. So I'm just using the most popular vernacular in this case.
Alexander looked clueless in there against Porter, he lost every round. He lost vs kotelnyk, he lost vs mathysse so he really should have 4 losses if it wasn't for the gift decisions. His 119 clinches vs Maidana was a joke if he fought him now he'd get knocked out. He is C level at best he has no skills, no power, bad stamina, sloppy combinations, terrible accuracy and he can't follow gameplans.
Good points! Green K sent..

He's not a bum, but people rate him as if he's something he is not. It probably made Alexander believed he's really that. He quit against Bradley. He survived Maidana by holding on for dear life. Matthysse clearly beat him... He's only good with low level opponents. He'll never be ready for prime time.
