I agree, AB cannot handle a pressure fighter at all.
Watch how he reacts after the knockdown in Rd 2 against Chino - he is flat footed and scared to throw back / slip and counter.
I think he was genuinely shocked and his whole world crumbled around him in those first 2-3 rounds.
Exposed as a total fraud by a hard hitting, never quitting Latino warrior.
His image and pride will not recover.
He would have problems against pressure fighters, punchers and movers for the same reason. That wide base combined with average footwork and foot-speed will have him dropping decisions to movers and have him get beaten up by the high volume and respectable power of pressure fighters.
Broner should be kept away from punchers, fighters his size, fighters with stamina and a boxing brain.
Right... To sum up: Broner should be kept away from (real) fighters.
... At this stage, Danny Garcia would dramatically end Broner's "career" just like that!
Would would they say about him if he only fought soft punchers? It inevitable at 147. The best thing he can do is go down to 140, where he belongs, and get back on track mentally. Back to the undercards for AB.
That's why he was draining down to fight small guys with little power. He moves up to fight guys his own size and gets dropped several times, rocked many more and gets his ass beat in general....by an average opponent.
That defence people were raving about was as garbage as expected and so much for him being able to move if needed, he moves like he's got cement blocks for shoes.
until he works on his defence..he should focus on fighting feather fists like guerrero and malignaggi?
No he heeds to learn how to box. He needs to learn how to fight moving back. He got used to beating nobody's with no power. He was so ****y he thought his offense was enough to win
Precisely why everyone wants a piece of him, from Guerrero to Malignaggi's wanting a rematch. His fight with Paulie made me suspect this hype train is waiting to crash hard.
Broner has no footwork, crap defense and no power at 147 he needs to go back to 135 to beat up little guys If he goes to 140 he will get killed by Matthysse and Garcia and outboxed by Peterson.
Go back to fighting midgets, preferably cheating them on the scales where possible too.
Maidana was a great style match-up for Broner. He was shown beyond any doubt that he doesn't belong at 147. Go to 140 for now. Avoid Danny, Lucas, Ruslan, Alvarado, and Rios. Try get that fight with Gamboa.
Good points here.
Broner actually believed his own hype job.
What is absolutely certain is that a fighter like Chino draws his motivation from a very different place than AB.
At the highest level you have to believe in yourself more than the people around you, Broner never understood this and never will.
Chino fights from the heart, Broner is just a sqeaky fart in a hurricane.
That's what happens when you face someone your own size (he still looked bigger than Maidana). The hypejob thought he was good when he was fighting lightweights when he was a welter
Guerrero is not the hardest puncher at 147 but he's not weak either, he would bust up Broner to a decision.
It's obvious from watching him vs Malignaggi and Maidana, that he most likely gets beaten by an top 10 WW. The lower ranked guys like Thurman, Porter, Alexander, and the 4 and 5 guys like Guerrero and Brook all probably kick his ass. Forget about Pac, Bradley and Marquez. Also, Prov, Matthysse and Garcia may put him to sleep. Judah is the next likely fight that makes sense and even that sounds dangerous for Broner.
What do you think of broner/khan?
He needed to fight a puncher to find out what he is or isn't.
I Blame GBP for a lot of this, you give him nothing but undersized fighters, that aren't even that skilled, most of them weak punchers, than go from paulie to maidana.
He was set up to fail. He believed the hype GBP built around him, and worse off, he believed in his half ass Philly shell defense. It world against smaller guys, and guys who couldn't punch, but maidana is a different beast.
Even Floyd, vs guys who he really respects, you'll see both of hands up. Broner needs to learn to respect his opponents more.

I don't know about this,it was his first real fight in a while..He took the punishment to his credit..I'm not going to cast him away just yet,Broner showed toughness..That should count for something..
