All I know is that it should be free to those of us in the US. Much like our PPVs are often shown for free over there.
No Big Amercian PPV's are free over here. They are either on boxnation or sky sports which are subscription based or primetime which is PPV
In regards to Groves vs Froch being PPV worthy, the numbers will tell. Kessler and Froch clearly justifed it but this fight will fall short of that despite both fighters being British. If Groves lost and lost badly then there will be alot of people looking back with hindsight saying it should have never been PPV in the 1st place. The same people who thought it was worthy by purchasing it
Groves speed will ge him out of trouble early in the fight but sooner or later he will get "Bute'd"
Groves can punch so we cant write him off completey. Hes young, question mark about his chin though its looked better in recent times. He should be able to give Carl afew problems in this fight.
I just think when he slows down and Carl begins to find his rhythm he'll tag Groves clean who wont recover and he'll finnish him, probably in 10 rounds.
Haye is the hardest hitting HW after Wlad right now. Fury is easy to hit and his chin doesn't seem too solid, if getting dropped by Cunningham is any indication. You do the math.
I dont know, Wilder, Price and even Sprott stopped Audley more impressivley than Haye but I do think Hayes power will cause Tyson problems.
Twice Ive seen Tyson box smartly. Once vs Rogan and once vs Johnson so he can stick to a gameplan but every other time its been a sloppy performance where he lets his heart rule his head. Its not the one horse race people are expecting but I do make Haye favourite, just may take Fury longer to make that mistake which will cost him the fight.
Reading through the thread, this fight has people split.
Some are saying Deontay will win easily- Thompson will Dive and Deontay deserves no credit
Some are saying its the step up he needed and it will answer the questions
And others are saying this is too much of a step up and Deontay isnt ready for this level yet.
I think that proves that its a good match to be made but their will be excuses whatever the result and people will put a spin on it in hindsight.
Fact is its a competative fight and hard to call a winner. My prediction is, if Wilder is chinny, Thompson will expose it and do what he did to Price.
Cleverly vs Hopkins is a genuine 50-50 fight. Styles makes fights and whilst Hopkins usually make unbeaten champs freeze, Cleverley isnt the type to suffer crisis of confidence like Pavlik and Tarver did.
Like Calzaghe theres a natural arrogance there and he will keep working away trying to impose his style rather than accept Hopkins'.
I think Joes output numbers were reduced and Nathans will be too as theres a big experience discrepancy but whereas Cloud have up trying, Nathan will keep working especially if he has 50k in the stadium cheering him on.
Good fight. Make it happen.
Good move for Ricky but its no given that Hearn will deliver.
Eddies sjow on Saturday was pretty poor. 3 British fighters all in easy fights against bums. I thought it was Warren that does shows like that. Flick over to box nation and we got 2 competative fights.
Technically, the torque he generates from his planted feet generates the power. It was a scary thing to see when he fought Mosley.
He looked physically more powerful than his older opponent but Im not sure he is the banger we are being led to belive. Shane was an old man coming of losses and moving up in weight but for many rounds he took the fight to Canelo. Shane was never taken off his feet in the whole 12 rounds or seriously hurt so I think if Canelo was a banger he should have been putting older smaller men away or atleast putting them down.
His technique is good as you say but he needs to get set beofre he punches so movers will give him trouble. Matt Hatton ran around all night and got through 12 but couldnt do anymore. What if he meets someone who can avoid him for 12 but do something about it aswel? Trout can move but he may be able to pick up the rounds too because Alvarez will be plodding forward but not pulling the trigger beofre Trout has got his shots off.
I think its a fight of 2 halves. Trout will deserve the decision but whether he gets it is a different story.
I thought the harlem shake trend dies out afew weeks ago.
Even if Danny is messing around in traininbg I dont think it will catch up with him against Judah
I scored it 115-113 for Rigondeux. Bit surprised with Bob Sheridan scoring the rounds to Donaire for just walking forward which may have influenced my close scoring. Bradley too had it close by 1 point to Rigo.
I think the only round Donaire really came out with intention was round 10 and he dropped him. The instant success should have convinced him to stop falling into Rigos trap by posing with him and should have instead turned up the heat as weve seen Rigo hurt before but he went back to boxing.
Even though the crowd booed I thought it was interesting throughout and congrats to Rigo
Pulev!
Its the only decent fight there. Charr is no good and the other guy is unknown. Pulev is a top heavyweight with ambition so Ill be surprised if its him.
I guess its looking like Haye will fight Charr instead. Not impressed but atleast we are guaranteed a KO
This fight will play out like the Haye - Chisora and Haye - Ruiz fights but end quicker
I dont think he will agree to fight him but the same question can be asked of Pulev. Will he want to risk it against Haye when he is on the verge of a title shot himself
Hope im wrong. It would be refreshing if a big fight could be made like this when easier options are on the table for both
I subscribed when it started and have never cancelled. Maybe when the budget gets tightened I may have to recosnider but so far they are showing good fights and have regular shows and replays so whenever I switch to 437 theres always something on.
They dont do PPv so once your tenner is paid for the month you get everything they show. As a boxing fan I say its worth it. Two Floyd fights in a row and the biggest UK fight last year so dont listen to people who just think its Warrens small hall UK shows
I saw a video of Rigondeux in training and he was pretty explosive. From what Ive seen of him in the ring he is a slick boxer with speed and power quite simillar to prime Casamayor but the training vids were impressive and she showed a real aggression.
Donaire on points is still my prediction but Ive seen a side to Rigo that you dont usually associate with sucessful amatuers so I can see this catching fire and being explosive if they choose to engage.
You cant reschedule a fight that many times. People lose interest which is whats happend here.
Burns vs Vasquez kept getting rescheduled until they just accepted its not worth doing, move onto something else.
If Brook really is this injury prone and its not just excuses then he wont have a great career. Either way whether its the truth or not its bad.
Confused as to why Audley says he is taking a law suit out against boxing scene for spreading false rumours.
He seemed quite passionate about the story of him flooring Wilder twice to be false and the Buncey reveals that Audley says it was actually the other way round and it was Audley who admitted that he got floored by Wilder. Deontay didnt comment on it either way.
Bradley wins a return which turns out to be less dramatic.
If provodnikov got a new trainer he may increase his chances but Roach isnt the best guy for him and is on a losing streak. He needs to go into a return with fresh ideas otherwise Bradley will pick up with what he had success with last time. Just has to resist those urges to trade where he comes off second best.
Jeremy is abit of a character as we saw in the undisputed truth video when he was trying to judo throw Lewis because he was getting beaten up in sparring. He also showed an arrogance in the contender series.
If I remember correctly he was in his prime when a fat out of shape Brian Neilson knocked him out so I cant expect a comeback at 40 is going to make any waves. Best of luck though , it would bee good to see him in the mix with one of the fringe contenders.
As much as Id like to see Broner knocked out I dont think Danny would be able to land his shots. I can just see his looping hooks being blocked by Broners Philly shell all night long getting countered, busted up and outboxed.
Hope im wrong
I fear its abit late now especially if he is draining down to cruiserweight in his old age but this was one tough guy.
Whilst Lewis was blowing away guys like Briggs, Grant, Golota etc, Maveric managed to stay on his feet for 12 rounds and even take the fight to Lewis in a few of those rounds.
Good fighter whos career was cut short. Hope he has something left.
This wont happen. Itrs too good a fight to happen in June and both guys are trying to get a title shot without any risk of losing in the process.
Pulev would be a hard fight for David but winnable if he is on his game 100%
Chavez vs GGG please!
I know Ward has being calling Chavez out but thats a pointless fight. A middleweight coming off a loss. Ward needs to sort himself out because he is quickly becoming a joke with his actions.
Golovkin vs Chavez is a good fight for both guys. Chavez needs a route back in and GGG would show if he can handle Chavez any better than Martinez. Stylewise its a better fight too but I dont think anyone can take this quote by Chavez seriously. I cant see him ever commiting career suicide by taking this fight. Not whilst Peter Manfreddo is still active anyway. Heres abit of money milking still in Chavez.
For the record if it did happen I think the skills and power of Golovkin would make this fight a 1 sided beatdown.
If Provodnikov has enetred the top 10 then hed have to be at the bottom end of the list.
Whilst he looked strong and dangerous I do think that any slick boxer who can stick to a gameplan will outbox him.
Yes I think prime Hopkins would have beaten Dawson.
Chad has the style to give Hopkins problems and it wouldnt have been exciting but a prime Hopkins would have laid outmore traps than he was able to when they did meet.
Prime Hopkins is a level or two above Dawson at his best and we would have seen the difference in class. All we saw in the 2nd Hopkins - Dawson fight was the difference between a big young prime fighter playing it safe vs an older slower man he couldnt pull the trigger like he use to.
I dont think 1 more fight will have any impact on the outcome of a Pac fight.
I dont see it being very competative not because Alvarado is no good because I think he is good but styles make fights and this is a guy who was being outpointed by Prescot beofre the stoppage. He just about beat Rios who shouldnt be that difficult for a top fighter to outbox so I dont see what he brings to the table to beat Pac.
Manny may not be the fighter he was and after his choin got cracked he might be more vulnerable now but for the 1st 5 rounds of his last fight he looked as good as new & those in and out ocmbinations should bust Alvarado up pretty quickly. Good fight for both men and fan friendly but I dont see anything other than Pacs first stoppage win in years.
Prescott - Styles make fights and I think Khan would always stuggle with Prescot because of his size and power. He made a mistake last time by standing his ground but even if he ran all night I think at some point he gets tagged because he cant do 36 minutes untouched. When he does get tagged I think he gets hurt, Prescott opens up and stops him probably in a come from behind victory. Round 9
Garcia - Again, pretty similar to a Prescott return. Khan can run but he cant hide. Sooner or later Danny will time the shot that catches him clean and it will all downhill for Khan from there. I see a return lasting about 6 rounds before Danny finishes the job
Peterson - Stylewise this may be Khans best chance at revenge because Peterson lacks the 1 punch power to finish Khan. Peterson looked good last time out in compasrisson with Khan who looked more vulnerbale than ever so I expect Peterson would start as favourite. This is an winnable fight for Khan and it woukd probably be close again but the problem for Amir is he appears to be stuck between styles at the moment. Against Peterson his tactics werent great and now with Hunter trying to change him he seems to be all over the place not knowing what to do. When you also factor in that Diaz was there as a cherry pick as a guy semi retired with more stoppage losses than Audley Harisson yet he pushed Khan close. That doesnt bode well for Amir in a Peterson return who looked better than ever vs Holt. Peterson points
People are saying khan because he best maidana so does Prescott deserve it more than both cuz he best khan?
No cuz he hasn't do e anything since just as khan has done nothing recently to deserve this fight. Close win over Diaz ko loss to Garcia and another loss to Peterson. Maidan just beat an unbeaten star and Floyd's mate so it has that angle too.
Tbh floyd shouldn't be fighting either. There's unbeaten guys like Thurman Garcia or Bradley but if he has to fight someone else's leftovers let it be maidana cuz he isn't gonna beat khan more imoressivley than Prescott did. And atleast maidan brings a punch and abit of pressure which we saw Castillo give floyd problems with
