..................... LoL, I pretty much ignored any post that had Floyd in the avatar or some other hit n run fighter, LoL! That aside, Floyd never fought a pressure fighter on the elite level of Marg. He's true pressure and fucks wit your head mentally. He just doesn't stop. Speed a factor? Considering when Floyd's on the ropes, he mostly goes into his show off how many he can block and the occasional right hand he'll let off, I think Margo would eat him up against the ropes. The fight would hardly play in the middle I think because of Marg's style pushing him back. This would force Mayweather to fight off the ropes the entire fight, and I can't see him doing any better than Cotto when he can't put a dent in Marg's chin when he's got featherfists. Marg would completely disrepect anything Floyd has and just keep hitting him anywhere, until Floyd gets worn down and can't take it anymore. Seriously, now you know why Floyd turned down 8 million. The proof couldn't be anymore clearer that Margo is the real deal. marg lost to a guy named santos twice........ why?.......... the guy boxed him and had the stamina to go the distance......... mayweather is 10000000 times better than santos ....how do we know this..... because you dont even know who santos is ....now go google.......

I think cotto did the right thing....... he couldnt give anymore it was over...... plus the rest may have helped him after the first kneel down smart tactic he tried and had to take a second kneel down than it was over..... old school boxers were great at clinching that would give them the time to recover.... cotto was in damage control and did the right thing... but after not being able to sustain marg's second onslaught after the first kneel down it was a good a time as ever to concede victory.... sometimes you win sometimes you lose.........

............. i agree with the thread starter. just bc you take a knee doesnt mean you quit. if he didnt take those knee's he could have seriously gotten hurt. it was over i though marg was going to KO him that round. Im not really a huge fan of either fighter i follow but not that much and i was amazed by both those fighters. that was boxing. two men standing in the ring just blasting eachother doesnt get any better than that. marg just had to much for cotto. and i think cotto and his corner knew it. hence why his corner stepped in. That was a particular part of boxing perhaps...... some might say boxing is hit and dont be hit......... most like bar room brawls not boxing.......

Marg fought twice to a guy named santos who was as big as marg...... why? because marg is one dimensional...... people went way overboard with the hype on cotto..... i still think cotto is great because he boxed almost great.... and he takes on anybody...... but people tend to forget that weight matters and marg is not meant for this weight class........ when he fought santos a guy as big as him santos boxed him to death...... when paul williams fought him he outboxed marg as well........ the question is can mayweather having gone up 5 weight classes handle marg with the amazing skills he has........ will weight be an issue......... i mean lets say u said pac man was best P4P........ does that mean he can go all the way up to heavy weight and beat someone... what makes mayweather special is that he has the skills to even be considered being able to fight marg.... and people even saying he should fight marg........ either way who knows what mayweather will do........ and mayweather has handled pressure fighters before and marg is slow although he just keeps coming....... but santos outboxed him and santos is no mayweather........ im more than sure that mayweather can handle marg's one dimensional slow azz..... now marg keeps coming.....but marg wont land anything of consequence against mayweather...... mayweather has fought better boxers than marg who had more speed than him and handled them......... and mayweather dosent even have to actually sting marg.... mayweather will pop him and keep moving and he can do that all night....

Cotto was done and did the smart thing........ first kneel down was a tactic to see if he could gain some time and recover.... second kneel down he knew he didnt have the energy to continue.... so he took a knee ....got up....was thinking about it ...and said fock this im done..... plus what the clip dosent show is that the ref had his back to cottos corner when cotto got up from the second kneel down.... cotto looked at his corner saw his cornerman with the towel and winked / nodded yes.... most boxers who wanna fight usually protest or carry on as to why are you stopping the fight.... after the wink/nod the ref finally saw the corner and the rest is history...... but i think cotto did the smart thing during the first kneel down and the second....... anyone who takes that much punishment makes a smart decision by conceding the win....... now you may say well he's not tough enough..... but usually those who are are left with brain damage....... and cotto still has alot of future in front of him whether it be in boxing or the rest of his life out of boxing he is still a young guy with a family that he can enjoy his money and time with.. without having to mumble, slur and studder his words.
