At the time of the Mayweather fight, Canelo:
-was already the super welterweight world champion for 2 1/2 years with 6 title defenses
-unified the WBC/WBA belts against Austin Trout in his previous fight and took his 0
-was Ring Magazine's #9 pound-for-pound
Some people act like Canelo was 16 years old with no pro experience when he fought Mayweather
I had Canelo winning 117-111.
FWIW, this is how I live scored Canelo's and Jacobs' fights vs GGG:
Jacobs winning 114-113 vs GGG
GGG winning 115-113 vs Canelo I
GGG winning 115-113 vs Canelo II
That fight was in New York while the GGG and Jacobs fights were in Nevada. Different states have different regulations. I just checked the the Nevada State Athletic Commission rules and regulations and it doesn't look like there's anything in there that prohibits boxers from wearing knee braces.
Here's the link if anyone else wants to check. Always a chance I could have missed it

Realistically, the media will cry in outrage for a day while non-boxing fans post smartass comments on Twitter about how Breazeale was asking for it since boxing is all about punching people in the head. Then a Kardashian gives birth or Trump says literally anything and the media will move on to its next story.
It can't be Charlo because he will no longer be ranked in the IBF's May rankings (coming out any day now) due to him winning the WBC interim title vs Hugo Centeno in April.
It won't be Jacobs because he physically cannot adhere to the IBF's 10 pound rehydration limit on fight night. He skipped it on the day of his fight with GGG and was ineligible to win the title.
Andrade was already supposed to fight Derevyanchenko, but IIRC HBO didn't want to air it so it never happened. So who knows?
Looks like GGG wasn't awarded the title after all, but it looks like Canelo has since been stripped of the Ring belt. It's now listed as vacant and he's not in the rankings (similar to what they did to Povetkin, Nery, etc. after they tested positive).
Was Berto a 3-time world champion? Was Berto a two-division world champion? Was Berto ever undisputed welterweight world champion?
Yeah, didn't think so. Next
GGG has held the WBC title since 2016 and STILL hasn't made a mandatory defense of the title (no wonder since Jermall Charlo is mandatory). He's the new Adonis Stevenson
British fans be like "You gonna watch the Nigel Buckley vs. Lionel Honeybun fight? Will be an absolute cracker lad! Heard the vacant Yorkshire super bantamweight title is on the line!"
GGG held the secondary WBA title at that time, he wasn't elevated to the true WBA champ until 2014. Unless you call the vacant IBO title he won in 2011 a real title.
I would argue GGG became the real WBA champ in December 2012 once Daniel Geale was stripped of his WBA Super title. After that happened, Golovkin became the WBA's highest ranking or possibly only champion (not sure if there was an "interim" champ at that time).
Inoue has stamina issues, watch his fight with Petchbarngborn Kokietgym. He was gassing out by the mid rounds and on his last legs in rd 10. If it were Sor Rungvisai in that fight, Inoue would've been taken out. It's probably because his style isn't made to last him 12 rounds, which is why he's so aggressive trying to get early KOs.
Don't know how true this is, but this Polish guy says the third weight class will be cruiserweight and that Masternak and Dorticos will be in.
