Let's look at Canelo's last 3 opponents before Crawford.
Mungia, Berlanga, Scull. Right after fighting Canelo they got Knock the F Out. Something Canelo couldn't do. So did Crawford beat a faded Canelo?
Canelo just lost to the better man. Before the guys you mentioned Canelo faced Ggg Charlo and Ryder and all of them retired and were soft touches.
Hearn and Benn spouting on about Haney looking scared and boring made them sound like liars. Haney vs Benn is entertaining but Haney wins in my opinion.
The only complaint that sounds technical is the payment issue which happens every PPV when idiots wait until moments before the main event to decide to buy the PPV or in this case subscribe. So some had to enter multiple times to pay and wait because too many last minute folks buying at the same time. Same shyt happens with cable and satellite. Which is why promoters for big fights would tell fans buy it early because there could be delays and issues if you wait till last minute.
It's like complaining when you show up to a basketball game 5 minutes before tip off and complain the parking lot is full, long lines, and that it takes too long to get into your seat. Well show up early or don't complain. I learned this back in the day buy your PPV early not mins before the main event and this is back when I had Comcast.
All the other complaints in that article are nonsense that you hear every PPV fight gripes about announcers, etc
Yep!! Exactly.
Nice Promo!

Big announcement coming tomorrow, stay tuned for details https://t.co/tOLixIxz7A
Rumors that it could be a 3 fight Showtime deal.
Awesome Wilder promo by Showtime. “To This Day!”
Still like the idea of this being Canelo's December fight in NY after GGG 3 in September
Canelo needs to try to become undisputed! Who was the last undisputed middle??? Pavlik it Taylor?
Thats generally how rematch clauses work anyway dont they?? The loser has to take the smaller % percentage in the rematch. Good to know hes willing to accept 60-40. Hearn probably wants it more 65-35 though.
Joshua is the Star! Wilder needs to take whatever they through at him! He just made his biggest payday ($2.1 Million) SMH!
He’s talks like he’s calling the shots or like he actually knows how to calculate percentages! Go talk to Al.
You're comparing someone who lives in a country with a contaminated meat supply to a cyclist with no such excuse and refusing to see the difference. Seems pretty fanatical to me.
Clenbuterol isn’t that much different from Albuterol which I take as rescue therapy for Asthma. I also take a long acting formulation called salmuterol everyday. I use these as inhalers. These products are beta adrenegic agonist and they work by opening up the airways. Ive heard of cyclist using these for stamina but Im not convinced that these products can do much more for you other than to help your endurance.
Maybe what were aiming for was to maintain his stamina during his lean down phase since rapid weight loss period is physically debilitating. It would Canelo tested positive for DECA or testosterone or even a damn diuretic. The trace amount that he tested positive for doesn’t give me enough to go off of without analyzing his entire metabolic pane. Let’s be real, we’re not seeing that...
James DeGale is a deluded moron and Jim McDonnell has probably been blowing smoke up his arse the whole time. DeGale has that David Haye vibe going on were he decides how much work he's gonna put in on any given day. Not a lot of respectable coaches would put up with it. He doesn't have the discipline and his ego is too big. The Ingles would be a good fit I think. They'd get DeGale in top shape and they would nurture the unorthdox side to his game. He'd have to want it.
Great Post! I believe he underestimated Truax although I believe he may have comeback too soon. Degale has to want to improve and at 31 it maybe too late.
Great Work Siablo!!
Nice pick up Siablo.
J-Rock has to realize who he is and where he’s at in his career. He never had an elite chin and Hurd was not a powerful puncher.
Breadman took him to a championship and a change in trainer won’t help much. From here on out opposing trainers will target J-Rocks chin and eyes!
The man is 37 years old and hasn't quite made the money that he wants to make before he bows out, hence the desire to fight Alvarez. However, fighting young, big guys isn't a guaranteed path to Canelo. Bud risks injury and even a loss. He's too old for that.
Crawford brings too much risk for Canelo that’s why he’s asking for 150M. In my opinion I think Bud beats Canelo, I’m not positive Canelo beats Madrimov.
If you throw out the extremes- CBS and Draft Kings- everyone has it about 115-112. That is 7-5 Usyk with (Fury docked 1 pt for the kd) or 114-113 Usyk which is 6-6 (Fury docked a pt for the kd)
very Close fight.
Close indeed, I had it 115-112 Usyk.
Ward is very charismatic compared to someone like Golovkin, Canelo or Pacquiao. He's just as charismatic as an Anthony Joshua
Unfortunately, standards for African Americans are very different than that of other boxers from different ethnic backgrounds
In the curious case of Andre Ward in my opinion Wards Christian Stance and moniker SOG coupled with the lack of attention received by the Super Middle Weight division were all key factors in Wards lack of superstardom.
Great!
Not broken at all.
After a war like that I’m surprised nothing was broken but I wouldn’t be surprised if Thurman took the remainder of the year off and maybe fight again in January.
then I'd have to include reflexes, agility, speed, footwork, good chin and all that..a.j can be gassing out and still come back to end you with his punch power..go watch Joshua vs Klitschko casual
The upper-cut that AJ blasted Wladimir with gave me whiplash so I can understand why he retired after that.
AJ is conditioned. His training regimen is what got his azz up after shooting his load in the 5th round and back in the fight by 8-9th
He coming back August but he been out too long and wont be the same fighter.
I heard Thurman’s comeback is now in September that he’s training in Japan to get away from US media outlets
Behind the scenes it was a money issue. Mosley like Winky Wright wanted 50/50 and Money said no he was the bigger draw. It's all good b/c Shane will fight like we've never seen before. Floyd brought up his marital issues and other dirty laundry. If Mayweather makes it out alive best believe that Mosley will take something out of him like he did Cotto
Like you said Oscar had already been planning on fighting Mayweather b/c Oscar wanted to fight a feathered fisted opponent and Mayweather was still at 140 lol Shane's the man but he had to let his boss take his 80 million dollar ass beating first. Now as promised Mosley gets to attempt to do what Oscar couldn't do 2 years ago. And it ain't a 50/50 split either

How many calories must I burn to lose 1 pound?
exercise questions Exercise Answer:
There are 3,500 calories in one pound of body fat. You should focus on creating a deficit of 500 calories a day, which over the course of one week will result in one pound of weight loss (500 calories X 7 days = 3,500 calories). This can either be accomplished through burning the calories through exercise, creating a caloric deficit through your diet or a combination of both. I recommend a combination because its the easiest way to incorporate into an overall fitness plan. Work on making a small change in your diet to create a 250 calorie deficit and then add about 30 minutes of cardio training a day to burn the other 250 calories. A great workout
will consist of cardio cross training a few exercises such as jogging on the treadmill and jumping rope.

How many calories do I need to burn to lose a pound of fat?
3500 calories is the rough estimate for the energy contained in one pound of fat. This means that to lose one pound per week, you must create a deficit of 3500 calories per week. Since a week as 7 days, that means a deficit of 3500 / 7 = 500 calories per day.
This is a great starting point. The reality is much more complex .. for example, 3500 calories will not produce a pound of muscle, it actually takes more than that, etc etc ... but as a general rule of thumb, it gives you a starting point and then you can play with the numbers from there.
To really appreciate the power of losing even a pound of fat, visit How Many Pounds? and find out interesting facts such as how many pots of coffee you could brew or how many times you could walk across England with the calories you burn.
working out with weights first then cardio last in the best way to shed the pounds
Alright so a friend of mine (a casual fan with a little bit of boxing knowledge) suggested we watch some quality fights together with a few beers.
So basically i'm looking for recommendations about which fights, but i have a few boxes to tick:
I'd prefer them to be modern fights, mid/late 80's is probably the earliest i'd go (unless there's some stellar examples).
They can be excellent either cause of their intensity and excitement, or because of how sweet the talent and skills are - to this extent a one sided beatdown isn't really what i'm after, but if you can suggest a brilliant display that brings excitement then go for it (probably early Tyson stuff?).
Strange, but i'd like them to be big events, good crowd, lots of noise etc. I'm trying to get my mate hooked and I think if the arena is empty or silent then it may take away a lot for him.
And finally, I want about 3 or 4 fights i think, so maybe a couple of 12 rounders and maybe a couple of shorter ones?
And if i can get them high quality thats a bonus
Cheers guys! and green k for input!
Althoguh Margacheto won the fight with Cotto the man's chin seemed to be indestructable. I've never seen someone take that abount of punishment and keep coming forward. It was as if Cottos punches did nothing at all to him. Does Shane Mosley really hit that much harder than Cotto or were the gloves really the difference I think once Margarito was found out his conscience made him throw the fight because it is what he deserved.
Mosley did kind of duck, but not really aswell.
I have heard when he was in the lower weight but I don't know that one.
The one with I'm going holiday and my tooth is wobbly wasn't really IMO.
I looked at that, and saw that he didn't want that fight because Oscar was going for it. It seemed like it was discussed already and that Oscar chose to fight Mayweather and that's why he didn't seem to jump at it.
I don't see Mosely being scared of any fighter out there.
Some believe he did duck though.
Behind the scenes it was a money issue. Mosley like Winky Wright wanted 50/50 and Money said no he was the bigger draw. It's all good b/c Shane will fight like we've never seen before. Floyd brought up his marital issues and other dirty laundry. If Mayweather makes it out alive best believe that Mosley will take something out of him like he did Cotto
neither..floyd will make you look dumb by making you miss then punish you...and manny would break your face
Exactly Pacquiao is coming after you at least with Floyd your face ain't gonna be ripped to shredds lol. Then again Floyd is use to sparring 4 minute rounds it might be as pretty as we think. I forgot how bad Carlos Baldomir looked after the fight oh wait Gatti was a wreck 2. Oh yeah RIP Chico Corrales was so distressed he pled guilty after the betting he took. Zab was pretty busted up as well, but still I have to agree that Pacman punches probably feels like bee stings and that left hand in wicked!!
not really it's just they choose to fight in Europe and both Showtime and HBO don't like sharing their money with SKY sports, it's business. Plus Tyson was entertaining and didn't mind risking everything with his ruthless style both inside the ring as well as outside. I bet if the Klitsckos fought eachother HBO would be all over it even if it was a hug fest in the Ukraine because drama sells
Im still laughing at the GOAT when the heavyweight division has been left in ruins since Lewis retired, at least Lewis was clean, Boxing: Klitschko admits steroid abuse. Here is proof
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxingandmma/2389404/Boxing-Klitschko-admits-steroid-abuse.html
you've never watched a dirrell fight right?
Listen to Larry Merchant in complete digust.
that fight with Steven was terrible I'll be the first to admit that I'm laughing now because I forgot bout all the running he did but come on that was his 11th figh over 3 years ago. He was more concerned with getting the win over quality opposition and after that fight he won them all by Knockout except for his loss to Froch which should have been a win... But that video was funny as hell cause my guy was doing some serious running around lol
