DEONTAY WILDER claimed it would be "easy" to agree a deal to fight Anthony Joshua and revealed the exact split he would accept to make it happen. The Bronze Bomber beat Luis Ortiz last weekend to leave himself perfectly set up for a shot at Joshua, should the British IBF and WBA champion emerge victorious against WBO champion Joseph Parker at the end of the month. why am I still getting cursed out by some Joshua fans for saying wilder said hed take 40% they keep responding saying he wants 50% have they seen this?
Because you are stupid?
The usual suspects said Pacquiao needs to take a flatrate vs Floyd, they said that GGG needs to take a flatrate or 20% vs Canelo. Now the same posters say that they just want to see a fight and Joshua needs to pay Wilder whatever he asks.
Hypocrisy as it's finest.
Not that I agree w the casual fan statement, because if they are casuals and follow Joshua, well.... Joshua v Wilder is the fight we’re talking about, so seems logical that they would buy the fight after the first commercial shows that his opponent is the Heavyweight champ in the US, undefeated, and has knocked out everyone he faced.
But taking it a step further, why would Wilder take ANOTHER fight first that MIGHT raise his profile and increase PPV revenue if he’s being offered a crappy split on the PPV revenue ?
Anything can happen. Wilder could lose, especially w UK judging vs a UK fighter. If I’m managing Wilder I’m not even considering Dillan Whyte.
Once the fans see the first fight between these 6’5 knockout artists, I don’t think the rematch will have trouble selling. Make the fight now w the guaranteed 100 million. Book the rematch. Everybody is happy.
I really doubt 100 million is guaranteed at the moment. Hearn has already offered wilder double or treble his money he’s ever made to fight whyte, so it’s a good pay day in its own right. Add to this that there is a good chance whyte will become mandatory and end up fighting wilder anyway (where wilder may earn much less) and it becomes an obvious fight. Whyte is as good a challenger as wilder probably has outside of Joshua; and is unlikely to last the distance (see fight against Joshua).
If Joshua fights miller in the US then whyte has to fight someone in the interim so all makes perfect sense really.
I personally think two build up fights ; Joshua vs Miller in US and Haye in UK; wilder face whyte in UK and breazeale in US would marinate the fight perfectly.
Then, fight at Wembley April next year; with potential rematch in Vegas in the summer. Timing would be great too as good opportunity fury will be lurking ready for the winner.

tell me what i said that’s incorrect. You can bury your head and pretend they’re in the same league when it comes to drawing power but that’s just not the case.
i just want to see the fight, there is no need for us to argue drawing power, of course aj wins in that department hes in the uk where fans back their fighters even when they lose. Im not a promoter and this is the fight that boxing needs... Hw boxing is back and we want to see the best fight the best not argue who sales more tickets. Im sure if tickets were cheaper in the states more people would go. If wilder accepts 40% then whats the issue
with wilder it is always a risk due to that glass he is packing and chicken legs. also he has no skill and can easily be outbid for a ud
What are you in? Look, you don't survive Ortiz without skill, you don't take these punches with a glass chin. There's so much wrong in your comment that I don't know if you are really trying to argue
Rematch clauses suck and working percentages for them holds up what would be a fairly simple one fight contract.
Loser should just go back to grinding and hustling for another legit shot.
Plenty of others shouldn't have to wait for greedy promoters to milk the cow one more time.
Clenelo/GGG is a prime example!
this is where the AJ fans become the biggest clowns

comments about AJ, Hearn ducking this fight and to get it made. They got a unification in just under three weeks. Like I said after that, providing they win if the Wilder fight isn't next then I'll give more credibility to the duck claims.
Eh, too much of a risk for 3-5 million.
With a 40% cut Wilder probably looking at 15-20 million.
He needs to go ahead and take this. Worst case scenario he loses, the Whyte fight WOULD STILL be there for his "comeback" fight or whatever, and that 3-5 would still be there.
If he happens to actually get lucky and catch Joshua, then we're talking 25-30 million for him in a rematch.
Whyte fight just too risky with all that money on the table.
What risk? Ortiz was a risk, Whyte is a walk in the park
Let’s see what Hearn says now? Wilder willing to take
Less money to make this fight is happen leave no room for excuses. Hearn is a sly weasel so I’m sure he’ll think of something creative. Hopefully AJ will man up and demand Hearn to make the fight.
Good shyt. Gave some rep.

Yeah there counting their money a Lil too soon. I give Parker a 40% of winning. It wouldn't shock me at all if Parker wins...
Don’t get me wrong I think aj will win before the 8th
I just think people are trying to give Hearn and Joshua s**t before they have got past Parker
LOL Still stuck on the money I see when, AGAIN, I'm referring to legacy only. Joshua is only recognized as such because he beat an old Klitschko but that will only hold out for so long; Ortiz was actually the best fighter either has fought so stop. TF had already beaten the robotic Ukranian, yet AJ didn't exactly sweep him but I give him credit for digging deep and KO'ing the 40 yr old champ!. Wilder continuing to win will start the same talk as Pacquiao vs Mayweather where there will be a debate as to who is the best.
Solely from a legacy perspective, they need each other just as much.
Ortiz is better than Wlad?
You're comedy gold you are. You've made me laugh with practically every one of your posts. Good job.
That's a good joke, you're forgetting the US PPV of which Haye would bring none. Again, think about the whole picture, not just what happens in the UK. Good one though...
Wilder can't even sell out the arena in any of his fights, including at home in Alabama, yet you talk about this supposed money he brings in even though he's never done a PPV in his life.
He hasn't done for the simple fact that it would flop big time.
And he gets nowhere near to what Joshua earns because no one gives a **** about Wilder back home. He's not all of a sudden going to become this PPV star what so ever. You're just dreaming.
I wonder what you said about the Ward/Kovalev situation? Hmmm.
