Not good at all. It's 2019 and consumer confidence is everything. Online reviews is how we make trusted buys nowadays.
This is the end of DAZN in USA. 2nd time they have had issues with Canelo fight.
not gonna be getting cable/fios/satellite tv etc
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D6I4MkGX4AANyCW.jpg
and with hbo done with boxing im officially done with cable networks etc
only one ima keep is showtime livestream
*says 10.99/month or 109.99/year
The only complaint that sounds technical is the payment issue which happens every PPV when idiots wait until moments before the main event to decide to buy the PPV or in this case subscribe. So some had to enter multiple times to pay and wait because too many last minute folks buying at the same time. Same shyt happens with cable and satellite. Which is why promoters for big fights would tell fans buy it early because there could be delays and issues if you wait till last minute.
It's like complaining when you show up to a basketball game 5 minutes before tip off and complain the parking lot is full, long lines, and that it takes too long to get into your seat. Well show up early or don't complain. I learned this back in the day buy your PPV early not mins before the main event and this is back when I had Comcast.
All the other complaints in that article are nonsense that you hear every PPV fight gripes about announcers, etc
Yep!! Exactly.
The TV alone gives you nothing. You need to have a cable package or streaming box to take full advantage. You want high level streaming content you have to buy the ancillary tools to get the most out of it. And paying a few bucks more a month for internet gives you a lot of other benefits than a quality boxing stream.
So you don’t need that TV with DAZN?

I had zero issue watching the fight, or with the app in general. Never do.
And u got tons of content with an HD TV. You think it's reasonable for people to pay $20 a month extra for internet service on top of $20/mo or $100/yr just for a boxing app? That sounds reasonable to you?

It’s just learning process. Mannn fans are expecting too much now with all these nitpicking.
They show quality matchups and thats’s good enough for me.
Only complaint I have is the ariel camera shots and Ray Leonard but it’s minor stuff.
Go DAZN!
DAZN will learn from this and when Canelo fights again they’ll do better!
Clearly. My bigger concern is the low production values. The streaming is an easier fix.
Some of you need to up your internet game.
I had the fight on my smart TV in the living room and streaming on the iPad Pro in the kitchen so I wouldn’t have to miss anything when I went for snacks/drinks.
Both on WiFi and no issues.
You're trying to sound tech savvy but revealing ignorance. It doesn't take a lot of bandwidth to stream. Not by today's standards and most people are NOT bottlenecking via their service plan. People with good plans are reporting issues with dazn, so it goes beyond people just upgrading their plans. I'm not sure how people got this impression that so many plans can't stream. I think that's how ISPs sell suckers on gigabit connections when most of them won't ever come close to using even 100mbps.
My ISP doesn't even have a plan that would choke on an HD stream.
Dazn had issues streaming NFL so boxing fans aren't making this stuff up. That said, I'm sure they'll get it worked out and I don't really see the weekend's issues affecting them as a company in any big way.
So what you're saying is people need to pay an extra $20 a month to upgrade their internet in addition to the $20 a month or $100 yearly for DAZN.....
And that sounds reasonable to y'all?
To watch TV in HD you had to buy an HD TV. Same with 4K. You want to take full advantage of streaming content you have to have the right tech. If you go cheap that’s your issue.

imo with all the devices that can use wifi etc yes they should definitely have the very best service
ive even seen 25mbps being offered as a "fast internet" :lol1:

The problem is 100mbs is more like 3 mbs when you're using it as WiFi.
I watched the fight on my xbox and i hardwired it with an ethernet cable directly from my router. No lag or buffering what so ever.
:boxing: good stuff
Javi, stop making excuses. The fact remains #daznsucks was the #1 trending topic his weekend because there were significant issues with the service.
Why is it that you and others can't just admit this wasn't what was expected and ask them to do better rather than try and poke holes in customer complaints?
yea they had issues mainly in canada... thats where that daznsucks hashtag came from
but again anyone running just 100 mbps is in ancient times right now.... gigabit connections are popping up all over the place with 5g gonna become available soon
I've already learned to rewind the stream a minute or so to avoid buffering. I've gotten slight buffering every live stream I've used DAZN for.
Well if this is the case then DAZN clearly has some issues they haven't fixed yet and better hurry up because if this happens during another major fight, you will get more complaints.
There is no way the complaints logged this weekend was a Haymon created massive script. That is beyond stupid.
We as fans know the majority of purchases for major fights are made the day of the fight. DAZN was not prepared for this and the result was #daznsucks trending this weekend.
I fully expect this will be fixed for the next major fight.
