That was bad ass. Now that is the definition of a Lucky Punch he wasn't even trying to set that **** up either he just threw a combo out while getting his ass kicked and it landed hard.
The Marquez punch was not luck it was a desperation punch but not luck because he was timing that shot over and over for years and landing it in sparring and several times on Pac. This Andy Lee punch was a true Lucky Punch.
One of the top KO's
No, it was a counter right hook that clipped John Jackson, nothing lucky. Dude jumped in right into it. Just like Victor Ortiz/Collazo perfect right hook.
There gonna make it look like lara got robbed saying he didn't get a full 10 count
I see lara gettin knocked out and stopped like abner mares with Johnny
......I dont
Has he begun? Has he JUST begun his prime? Is he actually in his prime?
He's only 26 years with over 390 AM fights and arguably 9 Professional bouts if you count the WSB wins, but in the records books just 3 official wins. Rigo won his first real title in 9 fights.
I think after 400 amateur fights, his prime is now, but he still has things to learn in the pro game. I thought he could have got Russell out of there in the later rounds though.
I saw the fight like 30 times and that shot wasnt that big of a deal lol if it wasnt Mayweather getting hit with it then we wouldnt even be talking bout it
Hi, you must ben new to boxing. We score on a 10 point must system with the winner being awarded 10 and the loser 9 or less. And if you knock the apponents down for about 10 seconds you win by a stoppage called a ko. If you have any more questions feel free to ask
im pretty sure thats not what he meant
Who are the fighters with the most physical gifts you've ever seen? I would say Roy Jones, Wilfred Benitez, and Meldrick Taylor would be among them.
Benitez???
Marcos had a brilliant back attack. The way he attacked FMJ elbows, forearms, and gloves were just brutal. I never seen Floyd hit flush in the back soo many times....yea guys he is really slowing down. BUT HE WON DOE lmao
Mayweather clearly and what's most impressive is that he took that type of punishment with sparring gloves. Just imagine Maidana using normal gloves.
Why do you keep saying sparring gloves? The gloves dont matter at 8oz...and plus these gloves are small as ****.

I understand what you mean. Once you actually start to box you realize that this **** isnt a game...I just wish these so called fans could spar just one round to see how it really is and I guarantee they will have respect for EVERY fighter, even ones they dont like.
There's such thing as off nights, but we can't give fighters passes for having them. You can't perform twice a year and get a pass for being off on one of those moments.
I'd say Angulo had an off night against Canelo. He didn't look like himself, but he doesn't get a pass for it. Canelo did a job on him and we can't make excuses for Angulo. Danny Garcia I don't think had an off night against Herrera. Herrera just had Danny figured out with a great gameplan and made him look silly in there.
Na he was just getting his ass beat from the opening bell....thats what happens when you have no defense.
I got a light middleweight prospect for you that could give them all a run for there money...

I'm just fucking with you! :lol1: Well-put thread, however, we shouldn't blindly respect any boxer until they've proven themselves worthy of praise, both inside and outside of the ring.
LMAO but I disagree. I think we should respect all boxers. I dont care what they do outside the ring.
williams-quintana
mayweather-castillo
leonard-duran
etc.
Fights like these where the fighter looked bad/below average the first fight, then won handily the second time, have a great case at saying they had an off-night the first fight. Now of course the other fighter can turn it around and say he had an off-night the second fight, but that's why there are trilogies. It's a much better excuse when the rematch happens immediately(no tune up) and at the same weight class.
Also, you have to take in consideration: Training/lack of, long lay offs, injuries that are ignored in camp/aggravated injuries during a fight, trouble making weight, personal/family/legal issues. These may not seem like legit issues to boxing fans, but remember that boxers are humans and they have issues that interfere with their job just like any one else personal/physical issues is affecting their job performance.
lmaooo ohhh noooo
Crawford UD, Gamboa's been idle for too long and Crawford is only getting better !!
Thats what I WANT to say but Gamboa to me is still a threat. I cant wait to see how they both look, I know Terrence will be sharp though.
I just watched a documentary/biography about Ricardo Lopez as told by himself. I was wondering during why is Nacho Beristain credited with developing that style he had? Is it just because he trained with him later in life? I ask because in the doc he says that the 2 people who ingrained that style in him were his trainer Antonio Torres Bombela and his manager Arturo Cuyo Hernandez. He said they were the ones who taught him and developed that in him. Just felt like clearing the air on the origin of that style since it's credited incorrectly to Nacho. No offense to Nacho but that's not his baby. I also believe (imo) that he saw the effectiveness of that style so much that after working with Lopez he decided to learn it and teach it himself. Hence why most Romanza gym fighters (Marquez brothers etc.) have that style.
P.S. Ricardo style is beautiful and technically perfect. Even Floyd Sr. Has said the best fighter he's seen is Ricardo Lopez.
was the doc in spanish? link?
I concur i've worn those gloves and they are nowhere near as effective as the MX's when it comes to hurting your'e opponent, infact my sparring partner who let me use them said himself he would rather me wear them each and everytime we sparred haha
why you sparring in fight gloves!
I think Sugar Hill would be a good fit for him as a trainer.
Sugar would have him right! Too bad its too many prospects in Detroit lol. Sugar a good trainer though I see him in my gym sometimes.
