I am watching Mayweather-Maidana for the third time...

One thing nobody has mentioned is that in Floyds other fights, when his opponent comes at him with a combo, Floyd usually nods his head as if to say "you can't hit me", then he smiles. You didn't see that one time Saturday night. Those body shots, took a huge toll on him as well as all of the rough housing by Maidana. Another thing, Floyd dictating to Tony Weeks on how to ref the fight needs to be investigated. Every time floyd turned to complain, Weeks jumped in like his mother. Completely unacceptable for a veteran ref. That was fooking disgraceful.

Floyd threw alot of jabs to the body. He has a tell when he does it If theres a rematch, I would tell Maidana to work on throwing a straight right when he does it maidana did catch him with a quick left uppercut at one point, but yea, the whole time i was thinking he should look for the straight when floyd is doing that, but he was more busy just defending the jab to the body by jumping back or leaning forward

Watched it 3 times too, that body work was just punishing. Floyd's conditioning is truly amazing. I don't think Floyd has slowed it was Maidana's style and head movement at times that caused problems.

I was thinking...of all the theories I've seen about why Floyd looked the way he did, nobody has mentioned he is 37 AND has fought 3 times in the past calendar year. This is a guy who was fighting once a year for 5 years or so. There are so many possible factors and all might actually have some truth to them.

Man... Mayweather has slowed down A LOT. The body punches Mayweather ate in the early rounds were BRUTAL. Cringe inducing, really. I'm rewatching it in a calm state, and I'm seeing it for what it is. His boxing skills saved him. And he has some dog in him. That saved him too. I'm not trying to take anything away from Maidana's performance, but Money Mayweather is discernibly slower. And his power is low to mid tier. When Fraud punched Maidana, sure, it barely slowed him down, but that was "quality", now when Chino fked up his face, that wasnt quality punching, ugly mean punching that lacke quality.

Was a fun fight. Maidana put it on him early and Mayweather really had to fight him off to take over and win. Maidana never let up. And keep in mind Maidana doesn't have to land clean to do damage.

Marcos had a brilliant back attack. The way he attacked FMJ elbows, forearms, and gloves were just brutal. I never seen Floyd hit flush in the back soo many times....yea guys he is really slowing down. BUT HE WON DOE lmao
