In my other thread I was discussing how my scorecards were wide and away, a clear PBF victory. However, after watching a fan's video recorded version of the fight while he was at the MGM. I scored it from the fan's POV and my scorecards were much closer. It's really all about angles. No wonder we get some crazy scoring from the judges.
You misinterpreted what I said. There are different styles of 8oz gloves, correct. But getting hit with ANY 8oz glove...will put you on your ass. So basically what your saying is I cant knock you out with 8oz Winnings on? So, do you still think 8oz are 8oz? Winning's can put you on your @ss, but, howcome hardly any fighters wear 'em for the actual fights?
It's not about the KO's, it seems like fighters in general use puncher's glove 'cause they simply hurt more. And on the other hand, why certain fighters demand the pillow gloves to be used by their opponents is because it softens the blow. We're talking about a 12 round fight here.
Sure, if you only get hit once with either type of gloves, it's probably not a big deal, but, when you are repeatedly gonna get hit with it, it will wear u down faster. And its not something PBF wants to absorb for a duration of a fight, especially that he is older now.
I love these videos I seen the matyeese garcia
And Floyd vs canelo
Very good idea of how stuff really went down
I can't stress enough how much I dislike hbo and show time camera angles
Fox sports has good corner cams and over heads
Ortiz vs collazo had a really good camera angle in depth almost ref cam.
They need to do this more often .. Over head cameras and corner cameras
I know this is a boxing forum, but UFC and Bellator MMA have some excellent camera angles. It really puts you in the action. Boxing tries to be too perfect with the way they slowly pan in at the beginning of every round and mainly stick to the one camera on the side behind the commentators.
Also, toprank.tv and Friday Night Fights have some great camera angles too. You could practically feel the punches.

Really? Was Mayweather wobbled, and out on his feet running from Chino?
No
I re-watched the May-China fight last night with the sound off, Showtime on demand. I found it hard to give chino more than 1 or 2 rounds. Mayweather was picking him apart and staying in the pocket.
You know what forget it. Everybody on here is an expert Floyd hater.
Maidana was wearing real boxing gloves against Khan.
I concur i've worn those gloves and they are nowhere near as effective as the MX's when it comes to hurting your'e opponent, infact my sparring partner who let me use them said himself he would rather me wear them each and everytime we sparred haha
why you sparring in fight gloves!
Apparently PBF disagrees with you. He was the one that not only rejected Maidana's custom Everlast MX gloves, but, he even rejected the Cleto's. Hell, he even rejected the offer Garcia made, that both of 'em wear puncher's gloves. So, you're dead wrong to say that 8oz gloves are 8oz gloves.
Do you ever wonder why you'll hardly see fighters wearing Winning gloves on fight night? But, during training and sparring sessions alot of them wear Winning gloves. So, do you still think 8oz are 8oz?

CJ Ross is that you?LOL, but, while watching that fan's video, there were punches that Maidana was rocking PBF with and if you view the same situation from Showtime's camera angle, you could not even see the punch, and the only reason you knew a punch landed because the commentators mentioned it.
8oz gloves are 8oz gloves....stop making excuses. Plus the gloves he used lock your damn hand in a fist when you put em on.

Did Chino wear pillow gloves vs Khan ? I'm sure Floyd would have been dropped or wobbles if Madaina wore his gloves.

Shafer already paid the judges off Floyd can lose 11 rounds and he will still win he lost 7 of 12 rounds against Castillo and Madaina
Khan beat Maidana much more impressively than Floyd did, whatever angle you look at it.
