I think in Mayweather's case, his PPV sale would drop dramatically because according to him lots of haters pay to watch him lose. So yes it can affect some people career... I guess.
Thurman got tagged way too much against that hard hitting argentenian (forgot his name). I think Maidana can potentially take him out in the early round. Thurman can win this if he adapts early and fights smart, perhaps even a knockout in late rounds.
I don't want to say anything bad about Khan because I always support him. I think he should have took the fight with Brook and make a career high payday. Then retire.
LOL. I was going to make a thread about this. I don't understand why people are so stupid, all I want are the best fights available, I don't care about boxing politics or ****!
i want to fly, but i understand that the physical makeup of a man doesn't allow me to jump out of my window and take off.
i want the best boxers to fight each other. i recognize that the sport cannot sustain that.
if you want to understand what boxing is, and how it works, you need to look at its administration. you don't need to identify with it, or approve of it, but you need to recognize what boxing is. that's what an adult does. the world is not perfect. we make the best of an imperfect situation every day.
some people are evidently OK with opening your mouth and just hoping that somebody will drop something tasty in there. that's what baby birds do.
I do know how boxing works and it won't be simple as we wish to be. Promotional companies' cold war etc. I think you took my point too far but the thing is people take it too far. E.g. This guy should fight him, should get paid this much and so on. I don't mind if I see it sometime but when it comes to backing up fighters such as Mayweather and Pacquiao, people go to extreme lengths. 50-50.. blah blah.
I think I would be really crap boxer to begin with. Around my weight, I think Golovkin looks really scary because he been killing guys in the lower tiers, I would not face the guy until he gets exposed. Perhaps Canelo Alvarez too, though I don't mind facing all other welterweights, jr middleweights and middleweights. I'd stay away from Thurman too. It's the boxers who hits hard and haven't exposed themselves are the one who worries me.
He did. He thought if he lost to Khan, he'd be out of Pacquiao's sweepstakes. Also he fought Casamayor prior to Pacquiao, where he could have fought Khan instead.
Bradley ducked Khan. End of thread.
You wanted a excuse. I think I'd listen to Mayweather's word what he said to Broner about taking it easy. And are you admitting Golovkin's that good that he should face Ward?
Most definitely not. Since this is mythical ranking, I still see that Mayweather is better than him and so is Ward. Mayweather would beat this guy if they ever fought, be it hard or easy way.
Of course America is still important to boxing. Look at the level of competition, it is much better there than here in UK. I only watch Froch, Hayes and Khan here in UK. I'd probably never watch Klitscho fight again unless he looses.
Never seen you proclaiming Swift fan before this fight. Anyway, Herrera won in my eyes... I just want the true Swift fan in this nsb stand up please... (Mr. Philadelphia?!)
No I don't think so, Herrera would make Lucas look bad as well.
Wrong. Danny didn't put pressure on Herrera and he didn't mix it up. All he did was throwing hook combos and timing it, hoping it would work. It didn't and that's why he lost (in my eyes). Matthysse would find his way in and cut off the ring. I still got Matthysse over Herrera. I thought Swift would win by way of knockout against Herrera.
They should make Matthysse vs Herrera. It'll be a good fight.
It's very easy to spot the posters who hadn't seen a single fight of Herrera's before tonight.
Seen him couple of times. Against Provodnikov and Alvarado.
