I had the fight closer than most did the first time round and I just rewatched. I didn't score the fight but was it really that much of a robbery?
Was it even a robbery?
First of all the commentary was sickening. Lampley, STFU! ''Boom!, boom!, pop! & another one!'' Not one, not a single punch even grazed Bradley.
It reminded me of when Steve Bunce was talking about ''Manny disease'' & how when he fights a lot see things that in reality didn't happen. They see what they want to see.
Lampleys seeing Bradley on Queer St getting lit up by 5-6 punch combinations, I'm seeing Bradley slip, block, roll & counter.
I didn't score it, I just wanted to enjoy the fight tbh but I felt the 1st few rounds was close rounds and I felt Bradley took the last three, pretty clear.
Lampley gave Pac the 11th & 12th
I'd need to score it properly on a round by round basis with the sound off but after rewatching & not scoring as such I seen a different fight.
Pac won his rounds more dominantly and the crowd was very pro Pac but I am under the impression that was a lot closer than people give it credit for.
One of the worst decisions ever, no way.
I feel Pac probably did still win. I'm taking Bradley in the rematch & lumping quite big on him to take a decision.
I don't think it will be controversial, maybe if Pac wins but I think Bradley beats him close but clear. 8-4/7-5
pac won it. but bradley countered effectively in the last rounds. if bradley can counter pac the same way as the last rounds- pac can loss this fight.
pac-bradley 2 is a very intriguing fight.
Pac clearly won,I have watched the fight 3 times and closest I had it was 116-112
Everybody knows who won the fight and that it was a ridiculous decision, that's why anybody with a brain cell is hoping the joke Bradley gets smashed up on Saturday-although I actually think the fight will be closer than the first, with Bradley fighting super negative
That's exactly it imo
Pac was more flashy, but fought 30 seconds per round and tried to steal rounds.
Quite a few rounds could have gone either way, depending on what judges favor : 30 secs of aggression or 2.30m of good ring generalship but nothing to write home about?.
The ***** (edit: I used c.h.i.n.k. as in weak point, not as in person from China) in that theory is the 'good ring generalship' part. More like 2-2:30 of not-much-but-up-in-the-air. A minute of clear winning beats two of up in the air. Heck, a minute of clear winning with effective aggression beats one of up in the air and one of ring generalship without effective aggression.
Watching it live I also did not score it and was very surprised Bradley won the fight. It seemed as though Manny won the fight. After watching it a 2nd time I saw alot of things and I ended up scoring it 6-5-1 for Bradley. It was a close fight. Bradley did not get enough credit for the jab to the face and stomach, and add on Manny taking 2 minutes to 2:30 off from alot of rounds led me to give Bradley alot of those rounds. Rounds were close, but Bradley slipped and blocked alot of punches like you stated earlier.

Pac v Marquez 3 was a way bigger robbery, but because Pac was the bigger name people let that **** slide. Pac gets "robbed" once and people go on a ****en 2 year witch hunt holding that L like the lose is on their record.
its nothing like that. A lot of boxing writers scored 3 for Pac, close to 50/50, while Bradley was like 100-1.
Yes, it was that bad. Rewatched the entire thing the other day and it was a wipeout.
I had it 10-2 Pac.. At worst, maybe you could argue 8-4 Pac.
Under no circumstance did Bradley win 7 rounds in that 12 round fight.
It's been a while since I watched the fight but the last time I watched it I scored it 8 - 4 for Pac, deliberately giving Bradley every round where I had any doubt. 2 - 4 rounds for Bradley seems to be the consensus.
The Mayweathers who hated Pac to the bone said it was a daylight robbery and so did the 5 judges who reviewed the fight. The floydiots will sing a different tune of course.

how people say he "clearly" won the first 2 is just absolutely mind boggling to me.
he didn't clearly lose them (i gave him round 1) but he most definitely didn't clearly win them.
He didn't clearly win any round to be honest. I gave him the last 3 rounds, 4 in total) but he didn't clearly win or dominate any round.
+1 ..........
Guarantee its 1, 2, and 10-12. People seem to actually believe Bradley clearly won those rounds.
Bradley did win the last three "clearly." To me anyway. He ^^^ made the mistake of using the term "clearly" though because Bradley "clearly" didn't "clearly" win any other single round.

There was one round I thought was pretty convincing, I think it was 10. Somewhere around there.

I agree with you. That was one of the worse commentated fights ever. Pac was given credit for missing many shots. However i did still have Pac winning the fight. I scored it 7-5. I though Pac clearly won 7 rounds and Bradley clearly won 5. Many times Pac only fought for the final 10-20 seconds of a roound. It's hard to give a guy the round when he took off 90% of the round. And like you I think Bradley wins the rematch. Now whether they give him the decision is another topic.
Which rounds?
It was a bad decision, only reason it was amped up was because of HBO and it's Pac. Nonetheless it still is a bad decision. Come the rematch we will see where both are at.
I rewatched it again today and had it 7-5 to Manny. I can't see a scenario where anyone could have Bradly winning, but it was a close fight. If anything, it shows that Manny definitely can't take the first 2 minutes of every round off and hope that landing the odd flurry will win it for him this time.
It was a difficult fight to score, Tim was throwing that jab non stop to attempt to keep Manny off, even though it was barely landing but quite often neither fighter landed anything clean.
