Garcia almost ko'd? Garcia didn't go down in that fight, nor was he overly hurt. He got stunned once in the late rounds and held.
Lets talk about the way Garcia had Judah hurt and nearly out. We have't seen Judah that wobbly legged since Tsyzu.
Why couldn't Matthyse do the same? How did Matthyse lose to Devon "can't break an egg" Alexander?
I would put money on Garcia Ko'ing Alexander.
I'm not saying Matthyse is weak, but he is being severely overrated by many.
I think Garcia will knock him out.
Really? Would you really? I mean, Garcia isn't as bad as people make him out to be.. Although I do think Matthysse finishes him in the early to mid rounds. But, we all know he's not touching Alexander. He's faster, throws more than Danny when he's on his counter punching mode.. Would force Danny to look for him and I can just see Alexander counter punching and smothering him all night.. Only chance is Danny landing that left (which does have power, also the only chance I see him hurting Lucas), but let's be real.. Alexander going to avoid that like the plague. I see Alexander winning via a very boring wide UD. I would bet money on that.
Its not about will it land or not. Alexander has one of the best chins in boxing. Garcia ain't knocking Alexander out.

Also true.. Dudes been in with some of the biggest punchers of late and has only been knocked down once.
Maaaaaaaaan, what a f.ucking fight! Damn, props to both fighters.. Lucas gotta regroup and come back stronger. Danny better have earned everyone's respect after this one! Beautiful fight!
It's getting ridiculous amounts of promotion on Spanish channels like Univision.. Can't watch a soccer game without seeing a commercial or advertisement for the fight..
If I had to choose a name from the top of my head it would probably be Hopkins. I think that would best help Canelo improve in closing the ring on Floyd and just overall help him prepare for Floyd's movement and ring smarts.
I agree with you on Broner, may not be as refined as Floyd's defence but it would still help him get ready for Floyd's guard.. I wouldn't see Broner doing it though.
If I had to put money on it, I'd go with Thurman. Looked pretty solid out there tonight, he was losing the fight and adjusted to Chaves.. Took some bombs and looked ok, I honestly don't see Broner fending this big WW off of him.
Would be an interesting fight, and Broner is the full WBA Champ, right?
Good answers, I'm going to wait until after Saturday to give a sure answer, but right now I'd probably lean towards Thurman at this weight.. Looks pretty solid at 147, I can see him taking Broner's punches and roughing him up on the inside. But, like I said.. I'll wait until after Saturday. :lol1:
Don't get me wrong though, Broner definitely is the faster, more aggressive boxer.. If Thurman is even a bit off his game, I can see Broner overwhelming him. I just want to see him at 147 to give any solid predictions.
Clean legal punches shut his eye, so fair play from Danny. Matthysse was ignoring the jab, both his and Danny's, he should have pumped it from the get go, moving his head more going in like he began later in the fight.. Great fight from both, Danny really impressed me Saturday night. Hope Matthysse comes back strong.
El nuevo rey.

VAMOS CANELITO!!
Haha, nice avi!
Man, I'm ready for this fight.. Gonna be hard, but he gots this!
Viva Mexico! Vamos Canelo!
Why is this even a thread? I mean, who can honestly say with a straight face that Pacquiao doesn't have one of the best, if not the best resumes of this generation? I'm not really a fan of the guy, but it's damn near impossible to dispute that. :lol1:
Canelo needs to take this fight.. Fight Molina then if he gets passed him, a unification bout with Lara? We can hope. :lol1:
I think a well conditioned Canelo could make this fight very interesting.. Would have to see how he reacts to Lara's punches first, but I'd be pulling for Canelo.
I find Rigo to be much more entertaining than Lara. Just seems it's more his opponent not wanting to throw and he really is more convincing. Is it just me?
I haven't followed Lara's career like I have Rigo's though..
I don't get what you mean.. By close fight you mean solely going by the scorecards? No, I didn't think so.. I thought it was pretty one-sided on the scorecards.
If you mean Broner saved face and made some rounds competitive, then yes, he did keep Maidana on his toes.. Maidana had to keep active the whole fight, there were some rounds where he tried to rest, allowing Broner to gain momentum.. I felt he came back in a lot of those rounds and landed enough to win them though.
I've been a Thurman fan for a while and Danny has really grown on me.. I think this fight happens down the line. I wouldn't bet money on this, Danny has proved me wrong too many times. :lol1:
