I don't want to use the word boring, but it's definitely lost something. Anytime a sport loses one of its best when that athlete is at or near their prime it hurts the sport. You got that right especially when they are in there prime
2 possible scenarios for a floyd victory:
1) floyd times pac and counters the shit out of pac
2) floyd throws combinations and backs pac up
floyd won't win if he can't do 1 of these 2 things. his defense will be good enough that he won't take too much damage but if he can't time pac or if he won't throw combinations then I don't see how floyd can win.
If floyd doesn't throw enough punches, pac will win by decision because he is more active....Your right but im quite sure Floyd can do both
Floyd cant duck someone that he openly challenged. Everyone knows that Shane turned the fight down so why do people try to spin it like that didnt happened. Since that time Shane has beat Collazo and Floyd has beat Oscar. What exactly couldve happened to make Floyd shook all of assudden. The fact is Floyd saw how Hatton packed the house and saw someone who he could really sell with. I dont think the Mosley fight is out the window. Infact, I think it gets even bigger now. Say Floyd beats Hatton and in the meantime Shane beats Cintron for his title and looks great again. Then that fight would be huge.
The thing is that people are hating on the guy on a whole new level now. I remember when everyone thought that Mosley would be the fight and everyone called Floyd a scared punk who is fighting old guys and ducking the young lions. Now he picks the young lion and they rip him the other way. He cant win Your right!!!!!
What a body shot. Great win for Hatton. Next Mayweather / Oscar.
He'll beat either.
If And When Mayweather Fights Hatton He Will Stop Him On Bad Multiple Cuts, even With Hatton Pressing Him And Rushing In Hatton Would Be Good Target Practice, hes Not Agile Enough For Floyd And Does Not Have Enough Real Experience, even If He Has Fought Tszyu And Castillo.this Will Be A Good Action Fight With Mayweather Catching A Few Good Punches But Still Breaking Hatton Down, could Go The Distance But A Very Bruised Battled Hard But Scared Hatton
All Of Suddden He Wants Hatton But Is Quiet As A Damn Mouse About Cotto Who Beat Down Judah.. Hes A Fuckin JokeYEA BECAUSE HE CAN MAKE MORE MONEY FIGHTING RICKY HATTON NOW SINCE EVERYONES SO HAPPY ABOUT HATTONS KO OF A SHOT FIGHTER
I've seen both sides present evidence that one was ducking the other.
Right now, tonight, Ricky Hatton wants Mayweather.
It's ALL on Floyd now.
Let's see who has the excuses.. Let's actually see.If And When Mayweather Fights Hatton He Will Stop Him On Bad Multiple Cuts, even With Hatton Pressing Him And Rushing In Hatton Would Be Good Target Practice, hes Not Agile Enough For Floyd And Does Not Have Enough Real Experience, even If He Has Fought Tszyu And Castillo.this Will Be A Good Action Fight With Mayweather Catching A Few Good Punches But Still Breaking Hatton Down, could Go The Distance But A Very Bruised Battled Hard But Scared Hatton
So in light of last nights Mauling of JLC wuts ur stance on The Fat Man? Has it changed ur opinion of him and of the outcome of potentiall fights against Cotto, Mayweather, Mosley ect.? He has on that performance went up a touch in my eyes! What a Left Hook man, HORRIBLE shot i mean that shot surely woulda taken nearly any1 out right!?If And When Mayweather Fights Hatton He Will Stop Him On Bad Multiple Cuts, even With Hatton Pressing Him And Rushing In Hatton Would Be Good Target Practice, hes Not Agile Enough For Floyd And Does Not Have Enough Real Experience, even If He Has Fought Tszyu And Castillo.this Will Be A Good Action Fight With Mayweather Catching A Few Good Punches But Still Breaking Hatton Down, could Go The Distance But A Very Bruised Battled Hard But Scared Hatton.
if mayweather fights hatton will all the floyd haters finally respect floyd for taking this fight??NO THEY WILL SAY HATTON DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE :boxing:
I don't think it will happen.
Mayweather wants no part of this Ricky Hatton.
He'll talk about the hugging, the dirty tactics, the money..
It all boils down to the fact that Hatton is a professional mugger, and I've always felt Mayweather wants as little do with fighting this style as anything..
There's also the question regarding Hatton's ability to fight at 147..
Two good reasons, or excuses, why this will never happen.
Although Ricky's comment about Mayweather's entire career not having as much action and excitement as the 4 rounds he fought with Castillo would be enough to lure me into the ring if my name was Floyd.. :fing02:If And When Mayweather Fights Hatton He Will Stop Him On Bad Multiple Cuts, even With Hatton Pressing Him And Rushing In Hatton Would Be Good Target Practice, hes Not Agile Enough For Floyd And Does Not Have Enough Real Experience, even If He Has Fought Tszyu And Castillo.this Will Be A Good Action Fight With Mayweather Catching A Few Good Punches But Still Breaking Hatton Down, could Go The Distance But A Very Bruised Battled Hard But Scared Hatton
Hatton only wins when he is physically stronger than his opponent and can bully him in the ring.
I think Hatton has a better chance against Mayweather than Cotto.
IMO, Cotto is disaster waiting to happen for Hatton. HATTONS NOT STRONGER THAN MAYWEATHER:nonono:
Am i wrong? Btw Castillo is a shot fighter so make this the first out of 100 of those.
And then a possible TRINIDAD-MAYWEATHER fight in early '08
That retirement sure didnt last long :ugh:
retired in may, and june hasnt even ended yet, lolSHOW WHERE YOU GOT YOUR INFO
man apparently you understood what i meant. dont be gettin all mad cause you ridin the dick of another dude who will let you down, cause dude is wack. just has not been exposed yet. mark my grammatically incorrect words, busta ass punk.[
seeing how i think floyd hasn't stopped training, i doubt it matters what weight the fight takes place, although skills win fights overall, but i hope this fight takes place at 140, because even though mayweather jr isn't the same mayweather jr who fought at 140 in 2005, he will hit ricky hatton so many times, i'm going to throw in the towel for ricky.
mayweather wins this by knockout, and i've been saying this for years now. if floyd comes to just fight like he fought against corley, hatton is done from the get-go.
as far as hatton swarming mayweather, i hope he does and i hope he tries to fight on the inside against floyd, who by now is stronger than ever, and fights great in the pocket, he will cut up hattons face early with a vicious right hand followed by a left hook, and i see him hitting ricky hatton with uppercuts that will finish him off.
if floyd goes to the body early, hatton won't last long at all imo. floyd is a vicious body puncher, and knows how to break you down with his body shots. hatton throws great body shots when his opponent is up against the ropes but i guarantee you all and you can all mark my words that ricky will get countered so many times and hit so many times off of the ropes against floyd, compubox numbers will be counted by the experts and the audience to keep up with floyd. i'm telling you this people, and i have been claiming this for years now, hatton better not fight mayweather jr ever, if he knows what's good for him. YOUR ABOUT RIGHT:boxing:
Let me clarify one thing for people right now... .because this is one of boxing BIGGEST myths ever...saying that Tyson wasnt a good amateur, using him as an example of someone who wasnt a top amateur but went on to a goo pro career. Take him OFF that list because Mike Tyson was not only a TOP amateur but he also destroyed many OTHER top amateurs. This argument is a VERY CLEAR example of someone that takes something they HEAR and passing it off to others as fact....it has snowballed into something totally false. Tyson won the Ohio State Fair twice, won the National Junior Olympics twice and won both the National Golden Gloves and the U.S. Juniors one time each. He represented the USA successfull yin International competition and he was chosen as the "most noteworthy contender" in 1984 to Henry Tillman and that qualified him for the Olympic Box-Off where he lost to Tillman for the Olympic spot. Being the most noteworthy is a HUGE honor in amateur boxing and is reserved for the elite at the time, which tyson certainly was at 201 pounds in this country. you good my man i used to box for east cleveland pal i won the ohio state fair twice that was my favorite tournament, the national pal was cool and dont forget the aau tourny too
Im going with Hatton, since joining boxing scene i have learned the following
-When hatton was bad against collzao thats because he was ill
-When he Was bad against urango he was also ill
-Kostya Tzysu has beaten many legends and is the best 140 pounder of all time, even though he lost to vince phillips
-Hatton fights exactly like roberto duran
-Mayweather fights exactly like sugar ray leonard
-Therefore this fight will be the exact same outcome of Duran Leonard 1
-Hatton was underdog against Kostya tzysu and won, so he will do the same against mayweather
-Hatton will simply walk through mayweather's punches and land at will until mayweather quits or gets knocked out, it doesnt matter that better fighters have tried that and failed, this is ricky hatton, he's british things are different.
-All American black fighters fight like jeff lacy
-So this fight will be an exact re-run of calzaghe vs Lacy, with Hatton being Calzaghe in this case. How can you compare lacy and mayweather lacy's skill level is nowhere near floyds skill level:pat:
Who do you guys think is the hardest hitter pound for pound in the world today and why?
I'd proberly say for 1 punch ko power it's definatly pacman, but for continual pain and hurt i'd go for cotto as he can't hurt you with one punch but when he throws combinations it's gona knock you out. :boxing: a light heavy called the dinga ling man Darnell Wilson
I cant get past how ignorant your avatar is. Do you know how many young black men, including a fine acquaintance of mine and amateur boxer Lorado Williams, are dead because of that throwback degenerate culture and lifestyle?we are here to talk boxing give your view on the subject and move on my avatar is not the topic thank you
Ever since Arturo Gatti was disemboweled in his fight with Floyd Mayweather, Jr., it's been exceedingly clear to boxing insiders that Pretty Boy Floyd is the world's greatest boxer. Not even the heavyweights want a piece of Floyd's action. It is one thing to bludgeon an opponent with well hammed fists, but you have to catch him to hit him. And, with the exception of a Ricky Hatton match in England, grappling is not allowed in the sport of boxing. Thus, it doesn't matter who you are. Even George Foreman in his prime would be ripped up by the Floyd buzzsaw and eventually knocked out. The fact is that nobody can trap the lightening in Floyd's bottle.
This of course leads to the ultimate question that has lingered around boxing for the last year or so: Who would win in a fight between the great Mayweather and Muhammad Ali? Well, the general consensus of opinion is that Floyd would win in the 10th by overwhelming an exhausted Ali with his superior physical reflexes and almost superhuman strength. Not even Ali would be stupid enough to tangle with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. on the inside. Therefore, Ali would play an outside game, and a veritable dancing contest would evolve. But, that's exactly the kind of game that most suits the quicksilver feet of Mayweather. By the 10th it's over, unless Ali managed to land that one lucky punch. Nobody's ever been able to do that to Floyd, so why should we believe that a lesser light like Ali could luck out on one big swing for the fence?
Yes, it's clear that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is the greatest fighter that ever lived. Ricky Hatton, taking this fight was your first mistake. Your second mistake will occur when you step into the ring...with the legend.i love mayweather to death but your over doing it he's nowhere near the greatest
Judah is the only one who beat Witter so far, If they ever rematched who would win?Zab is washed up he should of stopped vazquez, judah's going down hill a very quick decline he's not serious.
It would be what we call a ''pick em fight''. which means it would be 50/50. I really don't know who would win that one. Mosley had combo's like Roy Jones Jr and Sugar ray Robinson. While Floyd had ''cat like'' reflexes and was very elusive. they probably had the same speed. If i had to bet on it, i would bet on a draw, or whoever wins, wins by split decision. what yall think? :boxing: My personal opinion and grant it pbf is my favorite and has been my favorite for years, Shane in his prime at lightweight and floyd at his prime at lightweight would make a shane UD over Prettyboy right now at welterweight would make a UD for Floyd
