Spinks beat Mayorga easily and so would a slicker PBF..
spink ran and was awarded the fight due to the Ref taking points other than that Mayo would have had a big fight will mosley @ 147... after he got paid he wasn't as dedicated i miss Mayo @ 147
I think the hungry, younger Mayorga that knocked out V. Forrest could do the same to PBF. At welter, if it went to the score card, I think it'd be 116-112, or even 116-113. Closer than most people would have it.
Otherwise, PBF: 120-108.
Yeeeeah right! One question for u, buddy, When's the last time you've seen Mayorga fight like he did against Forrest?? Name off the guys that Mayorga has fought since, that have a fraction of Floyd's experience, defense & speed?? (Who, Oscar, Cory Spinks, Tito Trinidad??) No disrespect but I hope u can Dig Dat!?!?!:boxing:
you people are idiots, mayorga has a good punch @ 147 but his boxing skills are and have always been horrible
he always got a puncher's chance, he always will be in the fight until the final bell, obviously we all know his boxing skills are horrible....i agree

If Mayorga wins any rounds, it will be the first then that's it. El Matador will come out swinging like Floyd stole his sister & keep rushin him like his name's Nicholi Volkoff but not really doin any damage. Plus Floyd will sit back defensively to see what kind of fight Mayorga's bringin'. Majority decision...PBF...1st round a draw or Mayorga!! Dig IT???:boxing:
This fight Floyd will score at will and likely win every round. Only hope mayorga has is to land something big... but I dont think floyd can hurt mayorga, so I have to go with the UD...
Listen, PRIME Ricardo Mayorga at 147 was an animal, because he's a punching bag now people forget how good he was.
First of all he was undisputed champ at 147 pounds.
Secondly he was ranked around number 6 on the Ring Pound for Pound.
Thirdly he lost his undisputed title because Cory Spinks "ran" for his life in a 12round decision, if you think Mayweather runs, watch spinks in that fight, it was heroic and I still dont know how Mayorga didnt catch him clean, bet ya Spinks didnt wanna rematch Mayorga after that fight.
(Although i did have Vernon Forrest Winning the re-match against Mayorga.)
Mayorga had limitless energy, some guys waited for him to tire in the later rounds, it didnt happen.
He just chased you until he caught you clean and when he did it was bad news.
He was one of my fav fighters at that weight.
not only that but i do believe, the welterweight division is no joke, is no place to be,
we have;
1.hatton (that can move-up)
2.cintron
3.margarito
4.williams
5.mosley
6.clottey
7.cotto
8.judah
9.queartey (that's moving back down)
10.dlh (is also moving back down)
11.mayweather
12.mayorga (is also moving back down) those are just some of the welterweights
are you kdding me this is like the best ERA in the welterweight of this generation, I do believe mayorgais at his best @ 147lbs and is unstoppable if he still has it, mayorga would be a tough opponent not just for mayweather but for williams as well
7.
I can't imagine Floyd stopping Mayorga unless it was to the body.
But I don't know... Mayorga doesn't have the chin he once had.
I'll pick the safe choice.
Floyd 120-108...who knows, he might even score a flash knock down.
120-107.
mayorga said he's moving back to 147 after the vargas fight, and mayorga generates fans, if he gets a win or 2 under his belt, i can see this fight as a possiblity
